Hello, everyone time for another Looking Back. After a little absence, we are done with this group of chapters. I decided to have some fun and get Syrelia kidnapped. As a way to introduce the Haldrathin the only other second order beings. I don't count Lanthim and his group of students as part of the global power struggle quite yet. That will come in its own due time.

The focus in these chapters was more centered around rescuing the captured Syrelia. With the attempt to further develop Leinea and Mynrea's characters in relation to Lanthim.

Further development in the relationship between Leinea and Lanthim will take place in the next series of chapters. While the plot progresses fairly well. I still feel I have dropped the ball on some characters development in favor of advancing the story.

So to start this Looking back properly let's start with how Syrelia actually got kidnapped. As we all know Lanthim is a fifth order being. That being the case anyone three orders down can't even comprehend his existence. That being said there are devices from ancient times. Long before the ability for most races to advance further up the orders was sealed. That could completely conceal the presence of an individual from a powerful being.

That being the case This group of Haldrathin kidnappers utilized such devices in order to achieve their mission. That being the case as for all threats that try to endanger those around him Lanthim. He simply sent his little workers to deal with the problem.

Now many may say, they want Lanthim to go out and be an active character in these fights. Show what he can do. Let him use his magic and the like. I do agree with that, however, it is far better I find. For Lanthim to do almost nothing and have his power manifest in the actions of his students.

That being the case I also introduce one other part of Lanthim's ability's and that is the manipulation of natural mana. This has the potential to be interesting in the future. Believe me, guys, it will be worth the wait when he truly uses Natural mana in his magic.

Before anyone asks whether Syrelia can use Natural mana as well the answer is no. All that happened was the same as when Lanthim communicated with Litralia when he was an infant. All he needed was a link with Syrelia and she would be able to telepathically contact him.

That all aside a Master rank disciple was sent to deal with the problem of the kidnapping. That being the case the seven Haldrathin had no chance. I made their deaths swift to make the point that fighting Isaetal Hidmetryl was not going to be at all possible for a second order being herself being fourth order.

As for the other developments in these ten chapters. The growing tension between Lanthim's two wives slowly grows. Now the only real blood relation is between Leinea and Mynrea. So there is no incest because the only real connection. Between Mynrea and Lanthim was her marriage to his father which does not exist anymore. If lanthim had married on of Mynrea's daughters through Nedral then you start getting into strange places.

That being the case I moved ahead with advancing Mynrea and Leinea's characters. In a way that will have them butting heads in the future. As things are now between these two. Both are more or less waiting for the other to make a move. With Mynrea trying hard to get Leinea to at least get in bed with Lanthim.

Unlike human society dragon's have a regimented system on how wives behaved. As well as remembering one's position in marriage. Because Mynrea is second she would have to wait her turn until Leinea became pregnant. Before Lanthim would come to her that being the case. As the older dragon, she is playing the patient card at the moment.

How long will Mynrea remain content with having to wait that we will have to see? As for Lanthim spending his time with her, it is more he is spending it with Syrelia. Who currently lives with Mynrea so that is why he is there.

Finishing off, Lanthim entering the academy. Was something I had planned before I ever started writing this story. That being the case as I started writing I found it difficult to find a place to insert his entrance. The tournament works very well for this because I can have two special characters fight it out like bosses at the end of the arc.

That should be all for this Looking Back guys. In closing, I will state that a lot of the reviews I have been getting are kicking my ass. That being said I will not stop giving all of you a good story to read. I am trying to improve and when I am told where the problems are I try to fix them the next time.

As for the next ten chapters, Lanthim will enter the academy and the  Grand Six Academy's Tournament. We will have a new main female character introduced. As well the identity of the women who wanted Syrelia will be revealed.
