The song of blades while deadly. Has for they who train and live by their swords. A moving and beautiful melody that would end with the death of one's opponent. Viewing the spectacle of these two combatants at nearly twenty miles away. The large gathering of spectators watched in awe. As Lanthim effortlessly parried every strike his assailant could attempt to throw at him.
An emotionless expression is all that could be seen on his face. With every action, his opponent would be sent flying hundreds of yards. Only to return and begin the attack anew.
"Lanthim seems unimpressed by this individual." [Litralia]
The contrast between the fearful and those who had grown used to Lanthim's way of doing things. Was like night and day with half the clan watching the battle like it was the end of the world. Everyone else just sitting observing him including every action.
Both Mynrea and Litralia still stood together looking for signs of who the assailant could be. Regardless of who the person was. If they could not get through Lanthim's defence. Or even stay close enough to launch a second attack. There was no real point to this entire action.
"A battle between two rune blade users. [Mynrea]
"Indeed, I have only ever read about such weapons when I was in the academy yet." [Litralia]
Elvish rune magic was presently a specialty skill practiced by few. Mastered by even fewer, before the third breaking. Rune magic had been the mainstay of the elves. But today with the old bloodlines slowly became thinner much like the dragons. Only some continue to practice this kind of magic.
"While I agree that Leinea and Lanthim spending more time together is a good thing. I believe academy life will drive him mad, spending almost half the day. Dealing with these high-minded fools." [Litralia]
Knowing how powerful her son actually was. Litralia knew that while he did play the game of hiding his true self well. He would have to deal with the many daughters of other clans. That being the case they would try to ridicule and ostracize him. However, Lanthim's was not one to take kindly to overzealous individuals. As could be seen in the projection as he continued to effortlessly fend off his attacker.
Standing almost in the same place as when this whole charade started. Lanthim again blocked the strike that came near his left ear.
'I will have to end this soon. To many people watching if things get out of hand.'
Placing his hands together he weaved a series of six hand signs. Each symbolizing a different magical sequence. As he did this his assailant hesitated a moment. Like rune magic, the use of hand signs in magic was not only rare but only practiced among demi-human races. Having a human perform magic in this way. Was something that frightened many who were watching from afar.
Finishing his final sign the grass around him began to brown. From it could be seen the water that had once provided the grass with life. The atmosphere around the two combatants began to increase in humidity. To the point that water could be seen forming like out of nothing. Quickly but orderly the water began to form around Lanthim. Into five flawless orbs, each a deep transparent blue.
"Teilquin I do not know why you do this. But I must extinguish any threat that can endanger my family in the future." [Lanthim]
Bringing up his right hand one of the orbs reacted. Releasing a long continuous ribbon of water. That moved with such swift speed that Teilquin only realized what happened. After he saw the hole in his shoulder.
'Amazing a single strike and I am short an arm.'
Keeping his distance Teilquin knew that he would have to do something drastic. In order to complete his given objective. Grasping the rune blade in his left hand. He would give all he could before Lanthim was able to respond.
Not knowing his younger brothers actual Projection range. Teilquin retreated beyond the nineteen miles tested zone.
Redirecting all of his available mana that was left. The elf began to activate the runes present on the blade. As mana came into contact with the runes they would glow in a fierce red light. Pouring more and more mana into the blade the runes glow became so intense that mana was emanating physically from them.
"Cleanse all creation in everlasting Flame - Carelima Yimra." [Teilquin]
Bring his sword down in a single devastating slash the entire training area vanished into nothing. The cleansing flame of Carelima Yimra devoured all living things in one strike.

Looking at this horrendous site Syrelia felt great fear come over her. Destruction of this kind was something she had never seen before even in her visions. However, Looking at the massive almost forty mile swath of destruction. Her fear came from the person standing where he had started the day.
Holding his rune blade in a defensive posture Lanthim looked deeply angered by what had transpired. The expression on his face was deeply serious.
"What a fool." [Mynrea]
Shivering to the extent that everyone thought something was wrong with both her. Leinea as well had tears rolling down her face.
"What is wrong with those two." [Arielia]
Sitting together not far from where the two dragonesses looked as if they were both on the verge of a panic attack. Both Arielia and Fienya sat together thinking of what went wrong.
"They are bonded to him so they can sense his mind and emotions." [Fienya]
"I am aware of that, however, this does not explain why both of them reacting in such a way." [Arielia]
Unable to comprehend what was happening around them. Both women turned their attention back to what was happening in the fight. As they did so they saw something strange. Lanthim's hair looked to be changing color. From the black that he had in common with his father to and increasingly brilliant white.
"Grandmother?" [Syrelia]
"Oh yes, Syrelia." [Arielia]
The eleven-year-old girl looked as if she had spent an hour crying. Her face and eyes were red. Arielia looked surprised to see this powerful child show any level of emotion in a public place.
"How many people will have to die before you stop trying to kill my brother?" [Syrelia]
Angered by the question, Arielia slapped the child without a second thought.
"Your brother is a man that lives outside. Of the of the social norms. He is dangerous to not only our clan. But our people's entire way of life." [Arielia]
As everyone looked at this spectacle with shocked expressions. What Arielia did not expect was to look up at the projection to see Lanthim Looking up as if looking directly at her.
"Devour all that stands, burn all things, pierce all things. -Jelgeda Gowmea." [Lanthim]
Dropping his rune blade so its tip would pierce the earth. Lanthim Watched with an expression devoid of emotion. The magical attribute that Lanthim used was lighting. As such as the blade made contact with the ground for an instant. One could see the lightning bolts moving with deadly purpose towards the designated target.
However, again Lanthim would not kill his half-brother. As the great torrent of lightning, like a great wave, crashed into him. None of the spectators could tell whether Teilquin was alive or dead. That being said many were frightened. As they watched the entire area that Lanthim's attack went through vanish right before their eyes.
"And this is with first order mana being used. Could use imagine what would have happened without the limiter?" [Leinea]
The feelings of fear and terror had begun to dissipate. Though she could not escape the unease that was always present when Lanthim was near.
"We would do best not to think on such things Leinea." [Mynrea]
Looking at the damage brought about by two rune blades. Anyone would weep in fear. Turning away from the projection Mynrea looked out over the other spectator stands. trying to take her mind off what was going on. As she did so she saw a group of three individuals that looks strangely familiar.
"Leinea come with me quickly." [Mynrea]
Grabbing Leinea by the hand both departed the Strentolos clan's area.
"Is something wrong grandmother? [Leinea]
Wiping away what was left of her tears Leinea kept pace as Mynrea made her way further through the stands.
"My sisters are here." [Mynrea]
"If that is so why not let us now before hand?" [Leinea]
Shocked that such people had come all the way out of the dragon lands. Leinea could not help but ask why.
"When I was married to Lanthim's father. My sisters cut off all communication with me. Now that I have remarried they likely want to see what he is worth." [Mynrea]
"Worth! what does that have to do with anything." [Leinea]
"Leinea we are the wives of the most powerful being in the known world. Worth is everything." [Mynrea]
