The rising of the sun brought forth a new day Mynrea lay alone as she always had awakened as the sun hit her face. In her apartments which were situated one of the three mountains that made up the massive structure that was Lanthim's residence. Today she felt incredibly sluggish waking up almost as if she was suffering from a hangover. But that could not be for she had not drunk any liquor strong enough to render that kind of effect.
Rising from her bed the effects began to lessen as her body began to acclimatize to the sensation. Walking to the north facing windows Mynrea could see that her gardens had seen exponential growth. The young trees that could not have been more than a year old stood tall and strong almost like they had been there for thousands of years. It was not just the trees all foliage seemed to have reached its full growth potential in one night.
'Incredible is this reaction because of Lanthim?'
Turning her attention to the middle peak where Lanthim lay in meditation healing his body from the wounds he received in the battle four days before. The amount of natural mana in its super dense state seeping out of the mountain was enough to change the world around them. Only in her nightgown, Mynrea moved away from the window wondering what was taking Delphrin with her clothes for the morning.
Unable to sense anything around her Mynrea paced around the center of the large room waiting. The loneliness of an almost unending barren wasteland what it felt like to sense nothing. The natural mana infused with everything making it impossible for Mynrea to find where any of her maids were while she waited.
Listening as footsteps approached Mynrea stopped pacing in the center of the room looking most unimpressed. A light knock was presented as the door opened. A young woman no more than thirteen entered carrying her mistresses attire.
"I thought Delphrin was to dress me today what happened?" [Mynrea]
The girl moved from the open door to her mistresses bed began to lay out each individual pieces of clothing.
"The ladies Litralia and Nervym are taking breakfast at the moment so the head maid got caught up in their demands."
'That is right both remained while the others left after dinner.'
"Did you happen to listen to any conversation between the two ladies?" [Mynrea]
With the many things that happened, the day before concerning Lanthim it was easy to guess what the two woman would be talking about. The entire idea of her marriage to Lanthim was not normal even by dragon standards. By order of marriage, mynrea was second due to the rule of the first meaning the first wife has the right to bear the first child. As such creating a problem due to the fact the neither Leinea or Lanthim knew each other all that well.
The distance between the two of them made for harsh realities the most dangerous of these would be the likelihood of Lanthim attacking Leinea if she went to visit him during her fertility cycle. The problem of having a child quickly would disappear but Leinea's mental state afterward would not be conducive to there being any more children.
"The two ladies greeted each other as I passed so if there had been anything else I would not know."
'Well, that doesn't help me all that much even though my mother hasn't said anything against the marriage Lanthim's respective age and power could be used against me.'
The most plausible event that could happen was the introduction of a concubine to facilitate the coming forth of offspring while Leinea struggled with her new reality. That being that before all the new revelations about her husband came to light it was unlikely that there would be any children for a long period of time.
Due to the fact that human males are unable to detect when a female dragon enters her fertility cycle. Now things have changed making a pregnancy something that could have been decades away into months.
"They have only known each other for a few months and with the injuries that Lanthim sustained there will be no interactions between any of us for some time.'
Turning her attention back to the maid that was dressing her Mynrea noticed that the entire process had been completed far faster than when Delphine would help her.
"Impressive thank you for your assistance." [Mynrea]
Bowing towards her mistress the young maid left the room with Mynrea's night clothes on her left arm. Standing alone again Mynrea looked at herself in a mirror that Lanthim had bought the week previous. Her bluish silver hair was very long almost touching the floor this color blended beautifully with the dress she now wore. The greens mixed with a brilliant yellow that brightened the room she stood in very well.

'I wonder if Lanthim will tell me where all this wealth he just seems to pull out of thin air comes from.'
Smiling to herself still looking through the mirror Mynrea turned to the open door which would lead her to where her mother and Mother-in-law were both conversing.
Sitting for her morning meal Litralia felt herself in a strange position having remained in Lanthim's residence at Mynrea's insistence. Her morning had been hard having to deal with the increased amount of Natural mana that almost felt like it was drowning her. Putting aside her horrible morning to eat something. Beside her sat Nervym Nyrotral a dragon who far outlived herself and Mother-in-law to her son Lanthim.
" I must say that your son far exceeded what I have heard reported from my daughter Caltyen." [Nervym]
Taking a sip of Sevalm tea which had been sent by Melfsol for relieving the pressure caused by the increased Natural mana. The pleasant taste and rejuvenating properties felt astounding.
" There are times I wonder if he is truly my son I have known so little of him these last ten years that all I can see is a stranger." [Litralia]
A lonely expression came across Litralia's face as she gazed into her tea for all the strength it gave to allow her to stay in this place. An even greater feeling that she was being forced away by Lanthim hung over her.
" I do not see why you sulk over such things he needs to heal after a battle with a generous enemy that took much but leaving him alive and you must be grateful for that." [Nervym]
Finishing her tea Nervym stood slowly behind her Delphine who was still present removed the chair on which she had sat.
" The young man has built with his own hands a home that will stand. Long after his own death as to whether his bloodline will endure that long is another question entirely." [Nervym]
Walking away from the table the older woman stood at the railing of the balcony where both had ended up together. Looking out over the entire forest that lay before her memories of the Dragon lands returned to her. It had been almost five thousand years since she had been in those lands.
'From what I have seen while he the boy has created an environment in which us dragons can feel comfortable. Not just by the placement of the residence on the mountains themselves but with such a view of the forest below.'
" He is stubborn almost to the point that trying to reason with him when he makes a decision is impossible." [Mynrea]
Walking onto the balcony Mynrea gave a courteous bow towards her mother and mother-in-law.
" You woke late Mynrea I thought the last few months of living here would have given you time to acclimatize to such mana density." [Nervym]
Reprimanded almost immediately Mynrea simply smiled walking slowly to the table where a cup of tea had been prepared for her.
" I know your mind Mother and skirting around Lanthim and dropping a woman in his bed whenever it pleases will only make him fight harder and then what will we have to show for our troubles." [Mynrea]
" The right of the first wife is paramount in our culture in a race where males go about mating as they please the only rights under the law that a wife has towards her husband is just that. You can not simply push Leinea aside now that Lanthim is injured and Leinea has developed cold feet as it were." [Nervym]
While Mynrea was correct on Lanthim's keenness to resist the control of others she could not hide the dissatisfaction she held towards her granddaughter. As far as she knew both Leinea and Lanthim had slept together only once and that was before Mynrea's sisters had arrived. With some checking after the dinner, the night before it was discovered that Leinea had that day experienced her first fertility cycle so the possibility that she being pregnant was not high.
" In no way do I suggest dropping a woman in his bed as you have said. As things currently stand this marriage will progress as is without any issue for some time and I must say that such a thing is intolerable." [Nervym]
As the two dragonesses continued to argue with one another Litralia sat silently sipping her tea.
' The young woman from the other day Yreni she and the others continually called Lanthim Master or Grand Master I wonder what that was all about.'
"Wait, Yreni yes she would do." [Litralia]
Smiling softly Litralia could feel an odd sensation like her words were agreeable to someone far away.
