Walking down the streets of the academy city of Alistri. A group of four young men struggled up the cities east hill towards the hospital where. Having been invited by Leinea to visit a friend of hers that was sick. Lanthim felt compelled to accept the invitation. Only to find himself and three other male students that he had not met until now. Dragged about as the girls shopped nonstop.
"Weren't we supposed to make our way to East Falia."
"Sadly these four are good friends and will shop till they have no coin left to spend."
"Sigh."
The grumblings of the other three guys who obediently carried everything that was being bought. The three of them were third years students. Standing together as the girls made their way up the street. The four young men looked at each other with weary eye's.
"Well, Lanthim you must have some spell that we can quickly offload these packages and prepare for the next engagement."
Nodding Lanthim moved forward of the rest. Taking something out of the pouch he wore, he through the item to the ground. upon making contact a large magic circle took form.
"Just place the packages in the magic circle and I will transport them elsewhere." [Lanthim]
Amazed by the swiftness of Lanthim's magic all unloaded their unwanted burden. The three other young men with Lanthim were close friends with Vemyre Belrie's young sister Freina who was a child of only six years. Having suffered terrible injuries when their clans estate was attacked three years before. The young child remained in the care of trained nurses that supplied her with continuous mana treatments that kept her alive.
Regardless of her injuries and the extent therein Freina easily made friends with anyone she met. With all present aside from Lanthim being close friends and guardians.
"Well Nolgren we better catch up before the get too far ahead and we get an earful."
"Sigh." [Nolgren]
"I agree with Dycath we better get going. Hurry with that last package Qualgin."
Finishing with the storage of the items the four of them ran up the street that rose up a small hill. On the summit of which stood for unhappy lady's with loads of bags strewn around them.
" I would ask for an excuse but considering you four seem so unhappy in assisting us. That you ditched our packages some distant place." [Vemyre]
Pulling out the same item again Lanthim used magic to levitate everything. Into the circle then sent it all into one of his many storage spaces. Surprised by this action Vemyre turned her attention to Lanthim.
"Will we be abe to retrieve everything once we are finished today?" [Vemyre]
Holding the card like item in his hand Lanthim chuckled slightly.
"Of course, I will supply you with the means to retrieve your purchased items later today so no need to worry." [Lanthim]
While everyone looked at him skeptically Leinea smiled taking him by the arm. They left the group behind heading towards the hospital that could be seen now just up the next hill.
"Have a care when we see Freina, much of the last three years she has not had much if any contact. With other people aside from her sister and the nurses that watch over her." [Leinea]
"What happened to the child? That she has been reduced to such a state." [Lanthim]
Still walking towards the hospital Lanthim could feel his wife beginning to lag behind him. Slowly until they both had stopped in the middle of the street. With an expression of deep sadness, Leinea seemed to not want to move.
"Three years ago a lord of the Haldrathin came to this country. Searching for a female to breed with, well to make a long story short Vemyre's mother said no. Resulting in the entire destruction of their clan." [Leinea]
Tears began to run down Leinea's face as she retold the story.
"Freina saw everything the death of her parents, the destruction of the estate right until he took her eyes and tongue. Vemyre had been away with relatives when the entire thing happened. When she returned all that was left was her dying sister." [Leinea]
Having heard the story Lanthim was moved to despise this Lord without a name. However, he could tell that there was more to this story than just the damage that had been caused to this little girl.
"We can not change what has passed Leinea. that being said it is possible to repair the damage caused." [Lanthim]
"What do you mean by that?" [Leinea
Having started walking before he could hear her question. Lanthim had gained a significant gain against her.
Reaching the hospital the group reunited as they went in. The size of this hospital was splendid taking up the entire summit of the hill called Falia. Being over four hundred yards in total size height wise the building was more astonishing. Almost twenty floors high an amazing feat for a race with basic magical abilities.

Turning from the group their guide left them in front of Freina's room. As Vemyre opened the door Lanthim was struck by a powerful presence. The sensation sent him stepping backward away from the door.

A voice could be heard in his head that he could not block or remove. However, he quickly regained his composure entering the room without any insistence from the others. Doing so he turned to see a young child on the one bed in the room.
{I am Lanthim miss Freina this is our first meeting I am pleased that I was invited to come today.} [Lanthim]
Taking a seat beside this little girl Lanthim put out his hand so she could touch him. With a trembling hand, she found his and grasped it. The sensation of her mana entering him was something Lanthim had prepared for.
Freina had developed powerful abilities that allowed her very touch to tell her everything she wanted to know about a person. Adding what was a frighteningly potent telepathic reach Lanthim was impressed.
{Are you Syrelia Frenost's older brother?} [Freina]
{Yes I am.} [Lanthim]
A feeling of wanting could be sensed from the little girl as her grip on his hand stiffened. Seeing this everyone else in the room thought that something was wrong. But Leinea kept everyone from reacting too quickly as Freina smiled softly.
{Syrelia told me something the last time she visited.} [Freina]
Feeling through her touch Lanthim could sense a longing for something but he could not have known what.
{What was it that Syrelia told you?} [Lanthim]
Knowing his younger sister, she more than likely had a viewing while she visited. If that was the case he knew what this sick little girl wanted.
{She told me that you had the power to heal me.} [Freina]
The emotion was so strong that Lanthim began to tear up himself. Such a strong desire to see, speak, walk again filled Lanthim's entire being as if he himself had been in her position for those three years.
{Freina I will need to release your hand for a little while okay?} [Lanthim]
A feeling of apprehension rushed through him as her grip tightened more.
{Do you feel this bracelet on my arm you may take it for a time as proof that I am still here.} [Lanthim]
Slowly Freina felt up his arm up to the limiter. He would have no use of it if he was to heal her. Waiting as the seal was pulled away everyone in the room exploded from their seats as they could no longer sense his presence.
"All that happens in this room. From this moment on must never be spoken to any other do you all understand?" [Lanthim]
Everyone nodded in agreement watching as Lanthim pulled the bed further into the center of the room.
{Melfsol I require your presence immediately.} [Lanthim]
Within the second of the message being sent a portal opened with the Grand Master Melfsol Veralf stepping through.
"My master I have come as requested." [Melfsol]
Examining the room he noted the rest of the group who seemed more frightened to see him.
"Your bidding my master?" [Melfsol]
"It is my purpose to heal this child." [Lanthim]
Both grandmasters turned to look at Freina who still had Lanthim's limiter held close.
"By your will master let us begin." [Melfsol]
Creating a barrier around themselves and the girl so none could interfere. Both men began to channel purified mana into Freina's body. With their left hands held over her, the mana they were channeling currently was to begin the accumulation of matter within the girls body. With which they could begin to reconstruct her eyes, tongue, and legs.
From the beginning before they had begun. Freina had been put in a deep sleep to not cause her any discomfort. From the regrowth of her legs and other parts. Such healing for two fifth order beings was not impossible. As long as they did not lose their own heads a fifth order being could easily regenerate any part of their body during combat.
Time passed and the hour was soon to reach its end. Lowering their arms together both men looked as if they had done nothing at all no fatigue or any sign of lack of mana.
"She should wake well in the morning." [Lanthim]
The tears running down Vemrye's face were more of fear of what was happening then of happiness of the healing of her sister. As the entire group tried to find reason in what had just happened a portal opened beck to the residence.
Watching as Lanthim left Leine felt in her heart that he was not finished yet. There had been another part of the story she told him. He knew it and would make the deadly preparations to destroy it.
