You stare at the decomposing body of Ice Eyes, gasping for each breath that you take, your body a mass of bruises and cuts. A part of you unable to believe that you've survived the encounter with the legendary warrior.
You turn to check on Gorrack and Lorna to see if they're okay, when Ice Eye's body begins to glow with a soft blue light.
Not sure what in the abyss is going on, you stumble backwards, just as the blue light floats out of Ice Eye's corpse and begins forming into a figure resembling that of the dead Minotaur. Long silver horns adorn his skull, scars crisscross a weathered face that has seen many years, a short silver beard hangs from his chin and piercing blue eyes look down upon you, shining with keen intelligence.
Smiling to ease your fear, the ghostly apparition speaks in a low rumbling voice, "You have my thanks warrior. Long have I waited for one such as you to free me from my prison, but I fear it may be already too late."
Seeing your confusion, the apparition looks off into the distance, his expression darkening as he relived past memories. "Long ago I heard whispers upon the wind. Whispers that spoke of the return of Troll Kings. So I assembled my faithful warriors hoping to end their scourge once and for all, when I was betrayed by those closest to me."
The apparition looks over at you with sad eyes. "You know of whom I speak...I lost everything dear to me in a single day and was brought here to this temple to guard the honored dead. In my anger I raged against the Lightbearer and against those who once called me friend. Full of a vengeful fury I called out to the darkness and it listened to my call, restoring me to my body."
Sighing heavily, Ice Eyes bowed his head. "Brought back to life, I wreaked my vengeance upon all those within the castle and vowed no one would enter this place unless I deemed them worthy. And so for centuries I have guarded this place with only a few coming to test their strength in the hopes of gaining my blessing. All of them failing hopelessly. I had begun to fear with so many dead that none would come to free me from my anger and now I fear it may be too late. The trolls have begun their invasion and soon they will destroy my homeland, unless you help them warrior. Save my people!"
As the last words slip free from his slips, he looks down at you with hope glistening in his eyes. There's a brilliant flash of white light that sweeps all around you, wrapping you up in warmth, you then feel the ground shift beneath you.
Blinded by the light, you feel tears slip down your cheeks, when abruptly you slam hard into something solid.

Blinking your eyes rapidly, you gape in amazement as you find yourself in another temple with a marble statue of Ice Eyes standing over you, wielding a great sword that he raises above his head.
Mouth gaping in wonder, your mind spinning, you stare at the dome above your head where you see two massive blue sparkling eyes that look down upon you then around at the walls made of white and gold marble with banners and tapestries of battles hanging on the walls.
Slowly rising to your feet, you feel awash in a strange sort of energy, when you hear a stern voice snap at you from behind. "How dare you trespass in the temple of the Lightbearer! State your business here or begone stranger!"
Startled by her voice, you spin around and come face to face with a thunderous female Minotaur wearing white robes. A beautiful creature with doe like eyes and light grey fur that covers her body, she glowers at you hotly with her hands on her hips.
Utterly dumbfounded by the question, you open and close your mouth repeatedly, trying to come up with an explanation as to what happened, but nothing comes to mind.
Snarling angrily at you, the priestess grabs you roughly by the arm and starts dragging you towards the golden temple gates, when your companions miraculously appear by your side, looking both dazed and confused as well.
The temple priestess stares in stunned amazement at your companions for a moment, before switching her gaze to stare back at you. Her expression swiftly changing to one of awe. "Please forgive me chosen, I did not know the Lightbearer sent you here. How...how can I be of service?"
Lorna and Gorrack exchange looks of bewilderment with you, they too confused by the power that brought you here.
Finally managing to assemble your thoughts together, you reply, "My friends and I need food, rest and healing. We have come along way and would like some time to recover from our journey."
The priestess bobs her head up and down excitedly. "Oh but of course chosen! Please come with me." She leads you around the statue of Ice Eyes and into a corridor where hundreds of Minotaurs wearing white robes just like hers mill about the corridor with more than a few pausing to shoot questioning glances in your direction.
Ignoring their looks of concern, the priestess takes you to a large empty chamber and claps her hands together summoning three young Minotaurs in grey robes who quickly assemble before you.
The priestess smiling broadly now waves her arms towards them. "Kierra here can take you to the bathhouse to clean yourself up. Or if you wish Tailar can help you get some food and Caleria can find a place for you to sleep. Now I must be off. I must tell the high priestess of this most wonderful news," she squealed excitedly, before spinning away and rushing off.
Caught off guard by her sudden exit, you desperately want to shout for her to stop and come back, but instead let out a heavy sigh. Might as well take advantage of this time to rest up, before the priestess tries to entangle you in their problems.
5. Do you try to slip out of temple?
Disliking the idea of waiting around for something to happen, you turn your back on the novices and head back the way you came. Lorna and Gorrack quickly catching up with you to give you questioning looks. "Do you really want to stay in this place? For all we know, the high priestess probably wants us to slay a dragon for them. No, we are better off leaving this place and not owing them anything."
With that firm belief in mind, you continue through the winding corridors.
