Choice 3. Town of Wogrum
Encamped several miles out from the grey mountains, Drakas stood in a silent candle lit tent, his head bent low over an ancient map laid out before him. The constant pitter patter of snow against leather canvas, beating against his skull as he couldn’t help but think it wasn’t enough. He needed at least twenty thousand more spears if he ever hoped to defeat even a single Dark One army, and yet all he had was eight thousand warriors, most of whom were ogrekans untrained in the ways of warfare. If he had just another five thousand or even a thousand demon blades, perhaps it would be enough, but as it was, they would be fighting a battle that could cost them dearly. It was this thought that ran through his mind time and time again, and which made this next choice all the more important. For if he failed with his first strike, he would not have just lost the element of surprise, but he would be forced to battle against the entire host of darkness.

Fingers gently moved over the dry, cracked parchment, he tapped his finger against Wogrum, a town of some ten thousand souls that inhabited the mountain region, it was a strong defensible position, and would make it difficult for the black towers materialize with reinforcements. If he could capture and hold the enemy in the mountains, he could make them bleed, weaken their army, and take away a key strategic location at the border. The question was, how would it take it?

His gaze lifted up to look up at Wargrim, his new battleleader for the demon blades and giants, he thought they could be a very effective force in storming the walls. Then there was Folkspeer, his granbaloon who sat off in the corner, sharpened his battleaxe with a smile on his lips. Drakas had made the old ogrekan his second in command as well as battleleader for the ogrekans that had come with them and battlekans. Together he thought their experience and tactics would hopefully rub off against each other. And lastly there was Kirgin, scout commander, who would take charge of the goblins and wyverns to keep an eye on the enemy. And as much as Shureen did not like the idea, she would stay behind with Rayela to heal the wounded from the battlefield.
Battleleader Wargrim
A giant born into slavery much like the other races of the world, Wargrim turned his rage at his imprisonment into a feverish desire to destroy and serve his new masters. With Barkan dead however, he believes his new purpose is to find and serve the demon who defeated him. A capable warrior albeit at times hot headed, he knows how to follow orders, fight hard, and will do all in his power to win or die trying.
Battleleader Folkspeer
Having spent most of his life fighting against the goblin tribes of Caldasher in the hopes of regaining their lost ancestral homeland, Folkspeer has become wise with age. He has a cool temperament like a raging fire in a rainstorm. He also knows how to improvise, change tactics, and do what is needed to keep his people safe.
Scout Commander Kirgin
Named an outcast, an abomination, and a monster, Kirgin has gone through life believing that his sole purpose in life was to help Shureen, and in so doing perhaps regain some semblance of his lost life. Clever, cunning, and with an intuitive ability in understanding how to best approach his targets, he knows when to fight, and when to retreat.
What do you do?
Order Kirgin to scout, infiltrate the town, and open a gate?
Order Wargrim to commence a swift assault on the walls?
Order Folkspeer to draw the enemy out into the mountains?
