It was super early morning (2am) in the academy. A certain person, a weird one (compared to her already weird classmates), had just woken up. This person was Marilyn Meitner. A commoner with long black hair and a reasonable amount of intelligence.
Putting on the Academy uniform which is the same for the boys except the girls wear long skirts, Marilyn smiled. "I look fancy." She was admiring herself in front of a long rectangular mirror.
After more than enough time needed to admire oneself had passed, Marilyn skipped out of the room with a joyful demeanor. She was making loud thumping noises with every step which awoke her roommates.
In the corridor outside stood a student, wearing a red robe. " I am the corridor guard, answer my questions and you get to pass, fail to answer and you will also pass but I will list you as an idiot."
The student was a girl with glasses and a smirk who was holding a book, her hair was purple and she seemed to be a great target for lunch money.
Marilyn's idiotic smile disappeared and her face became stern and serious. "I'm ready corridor guard, I will answer these questions of yours and prove that I am smart."
"Question 1, what is magic?"
"Well this is easy, magic is... Hold on a second. Are you a character made to teach the audience how magic and the world work in a way that shoves it in their face?"
"I see..." The smirk of the "corridor guard" disappeared, it was replaced by an emotionless frown.
"Question 2, do you know somebody named Jack Adonai?
"Of course, they first appear in chapter 1-", Marilyn tried to continue her sentence but she was unable to. She could not move a single part of their body, she could not breathe nor could she blink.
The girl in front of her dropped her book and gripped something cylinder in shape. Her hand was empty but judging by the way she was holding it, she was probably holding a dild- a sword I mean.
As the girl was grasping the object, Marilyn began to have thoughts and ideas, mostly insults about the girl. Removing all the insults Marilyn's internal monologue was,
"This stupid nerd, freezing me in time, and now she's holding something phallic. Wait it's probably like a cool spirit sword, yeah that would be awesome. Wait, is she going to slice me up for not answering her silly riddles correctly? No that can't be possible why would she slice a lovable goofball like myself."
"Hiyahhh!" The girl swung her hand down in one quick motion. The sword was able to cut through Marilyn's soul smoothly at first but it got stuck in the middle of her body. "Damn it! Why is your soul so hard?"
"Oh fuck! Fuck please Mezor end my suffering. This pain is almost unbearable!"
"Okay, it's time to do another swing." The nerd tried to bring up her mythical sword but it seemed that Marilyn's soul had regenerated which block the sword.
"Hmm." She then swung the sword up and down trying to loosen it. "AHHHH! MY INSIDES!!! My inSIDES feel like a blenDER!"
"This isn't working. Time to bring out the big one." The girl punched the air, which opened a portal, inside the portal was a white slab of metal. On closer inspection, the slab of metal was a sword, a sword with a height of around 13 feet and maybe a width of 2 feet. The sword was floating and had a holy aura around it, yellow rings of light surrounded it and the handle was covered in blood-stained rags. When the girl entered the portal, the sword eyes revealed themselves. With 8 eyes and a lot of wings, the sword shines brightly. The sword emitted a heavenly tune composed of thousands of choir voices, trumpets, violins, and a piano.
The nerd's arm moved towards the sword and slapped it away, behind the sword was a pink toy hammer with drawings of cats on it.
"Perfect."
Leaving the portal, the girl was back in the corridor. She held up the toy hammer which
shined crappily because of badly made LED lights and there was a distorted and compressed children's song coming from the hammer.
She gently slammed the hammer onto Marilyn's forehead. There were a couple of seconds of serenity followed by immense pain.
Clutching her head Marilyn screamed in pain. "Where am I! Oww, oww! Who am I?.."
"Question 3, what chapter is this?"
"Uhh what! Oh yeah the corridor guard, umm isn't this the first question though?
"No."
"Okay... Can you explain the question because I don't understand what you mean?"
With a sigh of relief, the girl picked up her book. "One down, I guess."
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"What? The number of questions?"
"No." Said the girl before disappearing into thin air.
"Well, that was... Certainly something. Oh well, time to go and have fun." Said Marilyn before whistling and skipping down the corridor.
----------------------------------------
"Welcome guest
Marilyn opened her eyes and saw a pink round table. On the table were different sweets with cat designs. She tried to stand up but she was bounded to the chair. Her hands and legs were chained tightly.
"I guess nerds always have the weirdest kinks."
Marilyn's head was then decapitated and thrown into the air by an invisible force. She spun a total of seven times before falling into the hands of a separate Marilyn Meitner without a head.
The headless Marilyn connected the head and stapled it on using a stapler. "Jeez what is this place?"
The whole cafe was full of the same pink table and chair. There were seven pairs of them excluding hers, all having different entities sitting in the chairs.
Marilyn zipped like thunder towards one of the chairs, leaving an afterimage of her doing a dumb pose. And like just like thunder she crashed and sent the table flying away.
In front of Marilyn was a ghostly specter bounded to a chair and impaled by spears and swords. The specter's eyes were even more dead than its body. No emotion at all, just a husk of its former self.
"Hello, there sad pincushion."
"Dead or perhaps sleeping? No heartbeat either..."
"Hmm, nurse bring me my defibrillator." Said Marilyn while putting on a lab coat and stethoscope.
Appearing from nowhere was another Marilyn wearing a white scrub and carrying a defibrillator. "Here I am, doctor."
"Thanks, nurse cutie." Said Marilyn before whistling like an old man.
Nurse Marilyn then smack the defibrillator onto the specter which passed through and fell on the chair. "Shit." Said nurse Marilyn before walking off-screen (well, off-page).
"That's a problem but good think I'm smart."
Marilyn took the defibrillator and threw it onto the ground. She then stretched her lab coat pocket and took out a humongous white mallet.
*CRUSH*
"Now I have the ghost of a defibrillator. Okay, guys back out I'm charging here."
"CLEAR!"
The specter's body was shocked and started to convulse but it seems it needed one more to bring it back to life.
"CLEAR!"
The specter's body jolted up and let out a ghastly scream. "Woooooowzer!"
"Who has freed me from my eternal prison? Wait I am still bounded here. In this stupid cafe!"
The specter shook and rattle trying to break or at least loosen the chains that bonded them to the chair but no matter how intense, the chains were unbreakable.
"Young girl, free me from my prison and I shall award power you couldn't even hope to comprehend."
"Do I look like I need your power? Actually never mind, can't say that because of a certain knucklehead." Said Marilyn while chuckling.
"I am Marilyn... No! I am Marigold, your soon-to-be overlord. You see-"
"WHAT! FOOLISH CHILD KNOW YOUR PLACE!" Interrupted the specter.
Marigold obtained a zipper from her hair. "Hush now." Marigold zipped shut the specter's mouth.
"Ahem. You see I was just a little innocent extraterrestrial being controlling some random infant on some random insignificant planet until I was brutally arrested by a four-eyed nerd. So now I want revenge! And I have the perfect plan for this revenge of mine. Hide in the shadows while sending out other villains to torment students and then appear at the finale at the BIG BAD EVIL GUY! And guess what, for only a limited-time offer, you can be one of the villains I send."
Marigold then searched her entire body. She patted every pocket and even check her shoes for something. "I can't seem to find the contract anywhere. Oh, wait! What is that behind your ear?"
Marigold's empty hand slithered towards the ear of the specter. Its ear was semitransparent and had nothing behind its ear but somehow, Marigold grabbed a folded parchment.
She neatly tapped the hand-size parchment above her head. It instantly unfolded itself until it reached the ground. The parchment was written shakily with small unrecognizable symbols that overlapped with each other.
"Ahem." Marigold coughed into her hand. The table on the floor stood up and returned to its original position. Multiple plates from the air then floated onto the table.
She slapped away plates full of cat-designed sweets which include macarons, cupcakes, fried tarantulas, and a slice of sweet lemon cake.
Marigold plopped the parchment onto the table, "this is your contact, and" she rapidly stabbed the parchment with a semitranslucent dagger "this! Is your pen."
----------------------------------------
Marilyn happily gazed at the stars and the moon outside. Well, she tried to but huge dark clouds covered the sky. Nonetheless, she was still just standing and gazing at the abyss.
Next to her was a girl wearing a mask with four mouths and a crow onesie. She was laying on the grassy ground while knitting a black scarf. "What do you want?"
"I'm just star gazing with my best friend."
"There are no stars."
Marilyn ignored her friend and plopped beside her. Her pupils wandered all over the sky before she closed her eyes. "Inku, do I feel different?"
Inku stopped knitting, her face turned towards Marilyn. "what?"
"Well, I just felt a little weird and kinda different. I feel like I lost something earlier but I don't know what."
Inku took one of her metal needles and pricked Marilyn in the shoulder.
"Oww!"
"You're still the same nuisance... Although you still haven't done anything weird so I guess that might be it."
Marilyn slapped her forehead with her hand. "That's rigth! I lost my good old joyful nature... But I also felt like I gain something. Freedom!"
"Sure... Whatever you say."
"You know, I met another purple-haired person. And unlike our classmates, they had pure purple.
"Hmm. Is that so?"
"Yeah! They had a red robe on and smart-looking glasses."
"Must be a 4th-year student."
"Yep... Thanks, Inku. This talk really helped me get rid of a mind-shattering headache I had."
"No problem."
----------------------------------------
A ball of yarn floated in the middle of a barren red room. The walls constantly pulsated accompanied by pained muffled moans of animals.
A man from outside the room eyes the yarn with immense pride. His eyes bulge out from his eye socket. He pointed his hands towards the room, "I did that"
The man melted onto the floor, leaving behind familiar small red orbs.
----------------------------------------
A boy woke up, his heart beating faster than ever. He stood up from his bed, the sun shined brightly onto his half-asleep eyes. He yawned and ruffled his crimson hair.
He walked outside the dormitories and towards one of the multiple canteens inside the Academy. With his sandals on, he waited for his turn.
He sat down at a table where a couple of his classmates were eating. His plate was full of diverse foods that were commonly served to nobles while the person next to them had a plate full of oranges.
"I want to defy God." Said his classmate.
The boy stood up carrying his plate and went to an empty table far away from his classmates.
