It was exam day. A day of importance for the Academy. This happens 6 times every school year which gives the student a great way to figure out how much they improved and their placement among others.
Currently outside on an open field was the whole classroom, all 25 idiots and their anemic teacher. It was morning, the perfect time to do the tests that aren't on paper. But what test are they doing, perhaps a test of magic, duels, or maybe a team clash?
*Cough* "Attention all of you. Since I'm in a good mood. I will be personally testing each one of you." *Cough*. Their teacher, Aergia offered them an offer out of pure heart, goodwill, and a yearning for a raise.
"And as for the type of the test." She stood straight, her purple cape and pink hair fluttering in the air. "You decide. After all, I'm no bully."
"Now" *Cough* "any volunteers first," Aergia said with a soft smile on her face.
"Me! I volunteer." A single hand raised among the crowd. The owner of said arm soon came rushing towards their teacher. But just before she struck her teacher, she stopped rapidly in her tracks.
"I'm the first one." Bridget's body excitedly shook with a wide grin on her face. "And for my test, I want it to be a..." She raised her hand and pointed her palm at Aergia's head.
"Choose anything as long as they have something to do with magic." *Cough* "Please."
"Great... I choose VIOLENCE!" Her hand mutated grossly and slammed downwards imitating a samurai's blade, its flesh overlapping with itself.
Aergia twisted her heels and simply evaded the deformed hand. She then touched Bridget on the head and electrocuted her with the power of 413 volts.
Bridget fell to the ground limply, her body slowly melting into a gray goo. Without a warning, the goo began to move and surrounded Aergia in a circle.
"Sword Ring." She waved her hand in front of her and then behind her. Swords made of energy manifested around her which began to spin like a tornado, cutting the goo into pieces.
The goo sensed that its current strategy would be a failure, so it decide to take a different approach. The goo plummeted into the ground, burrowing deep down into the earth.
"Finley," *Cough* "surprise attacks are no good."
Finley's head popped up from the ground. "O-
She launched her swords at the head instantly. The swords spun in the air, cutting through air, flesh, and dirt.
*Krikikiki*
An amalgamation of stone, goo, and flesh burst from the ground under her. The amalgamation enveloped her and began to condense, trying to convert her into a small lump of meat.
*Cough* Cough* She wriggled out trying to free herself but because of her anemia, she was unable to escape the grasp. *Cough*
"Ice Spike."
A cold shock ran down the amalgamation, freezing it solid and stopping it in time. "Shockwave." A wave of energy exploded around her, crumbling the ice sculpture into sparkles in the sky.
She dropped to the ground, her shoes had short thick spikes made of ice that pierce and rooted themselves into the ground. The ground rumbled beneath her and Finley crawled up.
He took on his normal Academy self, a blonde with fluffy hair, his body seemed normal enough except for his feet being frozen in ice.
"You give up?" Aergia walked away, her front still facing Finley.
"Offer declined!" Finley stretched the tips of his fingers, creating a small pitchfork that plunged toward Aergia.
She waved her hands and stone was pulled from the ground, forming a tower that blocked and encased the sharp appendages.
She raised her arm upwards and opened her palm to the wide blue sky. Finely lunged forward, his legs snapping off the ice and his head turning into a drill that pierced through the stone.
Using her other hand, Aergia punched the air in front of her, creating a gust of wind that launched Finley into the air. Red particles then gathered from the air and into her hand which was still standing proudly high in the air.
Finely struggled in the air, constantly changing in shape, he tried to find a body that would prevent his demise, which ended up with him losing more energy and strength during his struggle.
Aergia clenched a long red spear in her hand, the sharp point shined brightly and deflected light into her enemy which angered Finley more.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
Turning into a flying squirrel, he twist and turned in the air and flew all the way to safety. Which was directly next to his demise. The spear was flung and soared in a straight line next to him.
It left behind a small red line in its path that quickly grew in size, encasing the whole sky and field in a red crimson. The crimson shined brightly before exploding, obliterating the life around them.
She clutched her chest tightly, her lungs and throat producing heavy and loud coughs full of pain.
*Cough "I win." She flicked her finger and an invisible barrier surrounding the students disappeared. *Cough* "So who's next?"
*Krikikikiki*
Finley who was currently a small rat charged at his teacher, hitting, scratching, and gnawing her fingers. "Please don't bite me." *Cough* She tossed the rat away.
"Can I be next?" Parfait waltz with pride and confidence over to the monstrously powerful teacher. "I want it to be a duel?"
"Are you not scared of my magic?" She asked with utmost curiosity.
"Yes, I am." He tucked his hands into his pocket, walked, and spun around Aergia. "That's why I propose another type of duel."
He placed his hand on her shoulder and threw something into the air. His hand jumped away from her shoulder and at the assumed path, the object was falling in.
A coin spun quickly in the air, and just as quickly it fell to the ground in a manner in which people would assume that his hand was a magnet that pulled the coin.
His eyes sparkled and his hands glowed, the coin swooped right into the edge of his finger and directly into the dirt below.
"..." He crouched down and plucked the coin off the ground. "I'm heads and your tails, is that okay?"
"No. This has nothing to do with magic or Academy subjects. I'm not allowing a test of luck. Pick something else."
"Hmm." He pocketed the coin and began to massage his chin. "How about the display of skill and talent to an audience?" He said with glee, his hand waving at his classmates.
"So you're" *Cough* "saying that we get a majority vote from," she slapped her hands together and pointed them at her students. "Them?"
"Yes, they decide who's the better act! Of course, I will go first."
"I don't think so." She placed her arm in front of Parfait, covering his face. *Cough* "As the teacher, I should begin first." She raised her hands into the air and turned her head at the now clear sky.
"Montague StarStream." A tornado of multi-colored stars exploded from her palms and into the vast sky. They turned, spun, flew, and scattered, leaving behind trails of smaller stars that left even more stars.
She waved her hands into the air, manipulating stars and molding them into a number in the sky. In the sky, shining brightly and strongly were two numbers, 3 and 7.
She clutched her arms together and dropped them into the ground. The stars followed her movement and collided with each other, decimating them and reducing them to glitters and sparkles that drenched the students.
*Clap*
*Clap Clap*
*Applause.*
She wiped off the beads of sweat crawling down her face. With a smile on her face, she faced the loud applause of her sparkly students.
"That was amazing Ma'am Aergia." Parfait's eyes gleamed with dust and dreams. "But now it's my turn so you better prepare yourself."
He waited patiently until she left and joined the audience. With quick rhythmic tapping of his shoes, he danced gracefully and beautifully.
He opened his mouth and an angelic perfect voice entered the audience's ears. He moved clumsily but still elegantly, with flowers and twinkles appearing in the background.
His voice was pleasing to the ear and left a nice soft yet dominating influence on its listener. Everything he did was perfect, his voice, his singing, his face first plummeting onto the ground, and his contagious smile. His performance ended with a bow to a stunned and silenced audience.
"Okay let's vote now shall we." He winked at the audience, his eyes producing a small heart. "Mine's first of course."
*Cough* "Huh." She raised her arm down and approached Parfait. "19 votes, nicely done." She clapped her hands and patted him on the back. "Now who's next?" She said, her eyes hiding a slightly pissed-off interior.
She felt a light tapping on her back. "I will be next." Aderyn grabbed her attention even more by pulling on her cape. "And my test is umm," she ran off and began shouting at another student.
The student pinched her forehead and let out a sigh of annoyance followed by whispers into Aderyn's ear. She listened and nodded intensely before running back to Aergia.
She now with a goal and idea in her mind approached the tester. "My test is a test of stamina and speed. We shall run until we reach the finish line!"
"So you're targeting my anemia. That is smart." She unbuttoned her cape and dropped it onto the earth. She then grabbed it again and buttoned it on.
"...Capes are cool." She swiped her hand in a circular motion. The field was lined with blue magical orbs that created a track for the two runners. *Cough*
"Okay, I'm ready." Aderyn took a starting position that would extremely slow down a runner. Meanwhile, Aergia stood just like a stone pillar, her joints as rigid as a doll covered in cement.
"Woohoo!" Amminus ran into the middle of them wearing a cheerleader outfit with chainmail. "Three Two." He waved two fans around and danced to imaginary music in his head. "One." He discarded the fans and pulled out a scarlet Dessert Eagle.
*Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang*
With the cue of multiple gunshots, both runners began, well you know, running. Except for Aderyn, who was slammed face-first into the ground because of her reckless position and exaggerated movements.
With this major advantage, Aergia fumbled badly by coughing blood. She ran using her eyes and legs however her mind and vision were spinning as if her blood was laced with whiskey.
"Eat my dust!" Aderyn took the lead by using her legs correctly and her body not being medically defined as slower than moss.
She ran extensively, her lead growing by a centimeter every few seconds which is not very impressive. Aergia tire to catch up but she failed.
"Blarggh!" An explosion of blood occurred in her face and she tumbled onto the ground. Her body was like a state trembling full of explosive gas. She moved her finger upwards and pointed it at Aderyn.
The blood splatters on the ground levitated and hounded after Aderyn. The blood moved like metal needles in the air, stabbing each other and growing in size. It circled Aderyn in a precise and worrying manner.
"Eww?" She slapped the blood which was hard as metal repeatedly. "Get your blood off me!"
Aergia closed her hand, turning it into a stern and unmoving fist. The blood wrapped around Aderyn's legs, tripping her and removing her access to her two precious limbs used for walking and kicking poor people.
"This isn't fair!" She complained directly to the Earth and the grass inside her mouth
*Cough* Aergia got up from her nicely made bed and dusted herself. *Cough Cough Cough* With the explanation of why this was a fair game done, she faced her students.
"Let's do another one while," *Cough* "we're still racing. Come on any of you."
