"Sorry, about that." said Ciri, blushing at her mistake.
"It's fine." I said as I picked out some ghoul particles from her hair.
"Do it again!" laughed Uzui.
"Tch, easy for you to say. I stink like a ghoul now." said Amelia as she wiped her clothes.
"Not much different from usual." mumbled Uzui.
"What'd you say?!" yelled Amelia as she turned her hand into a pellet gun and began to shoot him while Uzui ran laughing.
"Alright, huddle up. You can shoot him once we're at Kaer Morhen." I said, amused at their banter.
"I promise this time, I'll get it." said Ciri.
FWOOM
THUNK
"Yes!" shouted Ciri as we landed in front of a beautiful keep that rested in the mountains. A scenery truly out of a fantasy world.
"Eh? Cirilla?" said Vesemir as he rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.
"Uncle Vesemir!" yelled Ciri as she ran up to him and embraced him.
"What are you doing here? And who are those people?" asked Vesemir, still confused by her and our presence.
"Oh right, Uncle Vesemir, I'd like you to meet my friends. That's Matt, Guts, Uzui, Amelia, and Yoruichi." she said, introducing us, while he kept his gaze on me longer than the rest.
"Pleasure. But what are you doing here? The Wild Hunt will find you!"
"Don't worry Uncle, I've managed to control my powers now so I won't leave a trail unless I want to."
"Unless you want to? Don't tell me you plan to ambush them?" he said, picking up on what she was implying.
"Yes. I have to save Geralt."
"Geralt? What are you talking about, he's dead!"
'Oh, right he doesn't know Geralt's alive yet.'
"No, he's not. The Wild Hunt kidnapped Yen to lure me out, but Geralt offered himself instead. So, they let Yen go and now Geralt is riding with the Wild Hunt. I'm going to save him." she explained.
"H-he's alive?"
"Yes. Geralt is alive. And I want to use Kaer Morhen as the place to lay the trap."
"And how will you kill them? They're monsters."
"No, they're not. They're elves that left the continent a long time ago and need my blood to leave their world because it's dying. We can kill them." she said, causing Vesemir to go silent for a moment.
"Fine. But we'll need to prepare first." he said.
"Of course, those two will help you." she said pointing at Uzui and Guts.
"I'll only help you if you spar with me. I heard you're a good swordsman." said Uzui.
"You'll do. Come on. The both of you." he said before walking away with Guts and Uzui following behind.
"What should we do?" asked Amelia.

"You can relax or walk around the keep. If you need anything just ask Uncle Vesemir." said Ciri.
"Okay, see you two lovebirds later." said Yoruichi as they walked into the keep.
"Seems like your Uncle Vesemir suspects something is up between us." I told her.
"What? How do you know?"
"His gaze lingered on me for a pause longer than the rest. I know I'm quite a handsome specimen, but I doubt he was taken aback by my looks."
"It's fine, it shouldn't be a problem. Let's go try to find Yen." she said before grabbing my hand and we jumped.
FWOOM
"Welcome to the City of Golden Towers." said Ciri as we landed in the outskirts of the city which was even more fantasy-looking than the cities in Guts' world.
"Cool."
"Alright, you can gawk all you like later, right now we need to find Yen. Is there anything else you remember about where Yen might be right now?" asked Ciri.
"Nope, just that she ends up working for the Emperor sometime between now and two years. The best thing we can do right now is sneak into the palace, and see if we can find her or hear something related to her."
"Alright then, carry me." she said.
"With pleasure, my dear." I said as I scooped her up in a princess carry before going invisible and extending the nanites to her as well before I called her through the DGC so we wouldn't speak out loud.
"Which way to the palace?" I asked before she pointed out the tallest building, "Okay, should've seen that coming."
Flying over the city, we could see how prosperous it was. The streets filled with people, merchants peddling their wares, the kids playing with one another, but we both knew it all came at a price.
"Fly faster." she said before I sped up and reached the palace in a few moments.
"So, what do we search first?" I asked.
"I don't know. A palace this big, she could be anywhere."
"The only other thing I remember about this is that the Emperor's mages helped her regain her memory. So, if we operate under the assumption that she didn't come here on her own, then the Emperor's forces must have brought her here. Most likely his secret forces."
"That may take forever to find. Just fly around the place until we find a clue."
"Yes, dear." I teased, causing her to roll her eyes, playfully.
Flying around the palace and its surrounding grounds, netted us nothing so I moved inside the palace. I was flying high up in the ceiling so I wouldn't accidentally disturb anyone, and alert them to our presence.
As I was flying by some doors that were slightly open, Ciri reacted.
"There. That was her voice." she said, pointing at the doors.
"It'll be hard to get in. The doors aren't open enough, and they'll notice the doors opening."
"Let's just wait out here then." she said.
~
After an hour or so of waiting, we saw the doors open fully before people started walking out of it and we saw Yennefer doing the same. As we looked at her, she seemed to have sensed something because she looked right at us for a moment before continuing to walk.
"As cautious as ever. Follow her." said Ciri, a little anxious to see her adoptive mother.
Following her from above, I noticed that Yennefer was taking a rather odd route.
"She knows we're following her." I told Ciri.
"Damn, land over there and I'll show myself to her so she can come over to us."
Landing in the direction Yennefer was going, I undid our stealth in between buildings before Ciri poked her head out and walked further down the alley.
"Come on, she spotted me."
A few moments later, Yennefer entered the alley frantically searching the area before she spotted Ciri.
"Ciri? Is that you?" she asked, still cautious even when facing her daughter.
"Yen!" said Ciri as she blinked into Yennefer's arms.
"Oh, Ciri. I've missed you so much. But you have to leave, the Wild Hunt will be on their way!" she said, reluctance on her face.
"It's fine, Yen. I've gotten a grasp on my powers enough that I can hide my trail." she said, still embracing her.
"That's amazing. I'm so proud of you, Ciri." she said before her eyes landed on me.
"And who might this be?" she said, a curious tone to her voice.
"Yen, this is Matt, my friend." she said with emphasis on the word friend.
"Oh my. It seems our little Cirilla has taken a lover." teased Yennefer.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Matt. Ciri has told me a lot about you." I said.
"Has she now? Like what, if you don't mind me asking?"
"You can get to know each other later. Yen, I'm going to save Geralt." said Ciri.
"Geralt? How?"
"By ambushing the Wild Hunt, and saving him."
"Surely you're joking?"
"I'm not. I've already asked Uncle Vesemir if we could use Kaer Morhen for the trap, and he said yes."
"Ciri, the Wild Hunt is not something to scoff at."
"I know, that's why I have help. And you being there would put me more at ease. Please, Yen. I have to save him. He's there because of me." she pleaded, causing Yennefer to fall silent for a few moments.
"Okay. What kind of heartless harpy would I be if I said no to saving my own lover?" she joked.
"A good one, I suppose." I said, causing them both to look at me, "Well you said what kind of heartless harpy would you be if you said no to saving your lover, but a heartless harpy would by its very definition not save its lover. So, that's why you would be a good one."
"I think he'll get along just fine with Geralt." said Yennefer.
"Shall we?" said Ciri, as she grabbed Yennefer's and my hand before we jumped.
