Now, I know I could fly using my nanites to create a jetpack or boosters but I wanted to try to fly through my telekinesis. It's never stated how much time it took them in the movies to fly, but it seems like it wasn't that long. So, I should be able to already if not soon.
'I need space to train and also a body of water for my new training regimen. I could use my nanites to fly somewhere secluded and then train my telekinesis. Or I could train my flying only for now before I use it to find a secluded place that fits my needs.
At the end of the movie, Matt goes to Tibet to see the temple in the mountains. I could go there to train. It's secluded with plenty of snow that I could both use and melt to turn into water for further use. The downsides are it's cold and far away. I would have to train my flying before I can make daily trips. Not to mention, I don't know if satellites would be able to catch me flying. Though I could use my nanites to create an invisibility suit. Or a jammer rendering me invisible to satellites or any detection device.
All that's for later, right now I need to train my flying. I can try to fly in my room to get the hang of it before I try it outside.'
Monologue done, I started to focus on trying to fly. In most fiction, when telekinetics fly they describe it as locking onto themselves with their telekinesis and then moving around.
'Okay, I can move things. How much harder is it to move myself? Easy peasy.'
I focused on first coating my body with my telekinesis ala force field. Considering it's the same principle except one is a coating while the other is a strong grip, I decided it was a good place to start.
Once I coated my body, I decided to tighten the hold on myself enough where I would be able to move but not enough to hurt myself. With that done, I decided it was time to make myself float.
With a firm lock on myself, I started to slowly increase the power until I was barely floating above the ground. And let me tell you it was familiar. It reminded me of before when I was still floating in nothing. I think experiencing that allowed me to grasp flight a lot faster than normal. That's not to say it wasn't a little disorientating flying for the first time with a body, but after a quick minute of adaptation, I was fine.
Now with me floating above the ground, it was time to start moving myself around. Slow movements at first so I can get used to it. Forward, backward, left, and right. It felt very much like when I moved other things around but with myself. After moving myself around in a circle for a few minutes, I decided that it was time to take to the skies.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
'Okay, I can go to the abandoned junkyard from the movie since it's a little secluded and deserted. After flying for a bit I can ask Steve and Andrew to meet with me to talk about their powers. And I can try out my nanites while I wait for them to arrive.'

"Okay, time to fly."
Repeating the process from earlier was much easier this time around, and I was able to get off the ground much faster.
"Levitating, check. Balance, check. Now time to go up slowly and come down slowly. Don't want to shoot up into the sky unprepared."
Moving myself vertically while seeing the ground get farther away is a very surreal experience.
"Holy shit, I'm actually flying. HAHA!"
After a few minutes of increasing my speed of movement in all directions, I felt like I had enough of the training wheels.
"Okay, you can do this. It's just like you've been doing before, except you're going to be moving a lot faster and a lot farther from the ground. That's not a terrifying thought at all. 1, 2, 3, Go!"
And with that, I shot off into the sky as fast as I could. And let me tell you it was awesome.
"WHOOO! This is awesome!"
The feeling of air rushing past your body and the noise it makes is unreal. Comparing flying in a plane to flying with your body is like driving a bicycle compared to driving an F1 car. Two completely different experiences, yet essentially the same thing.
After a minute or so, I decided that I was high enough in the sky. I stopped my movement and just floated amongst the clouds for a moment.
"Jesus is this peaceful. No city, no people, no machines, no nothing. Just me, the sky, and the clouds. I could get used to this calm."
I moved my body to a laying position so it looked like I was resting on a cloud. I decided to document this moment so I moved my phone to take a panoramic photo of my first moments flying.
"Oh yeah, this is going on the gram. Well, not really. I will send it to the group chat though."
Sending it to the group chat, I decided to close my eyes and meditate for a minute. Just to take in the calm.
"That's enough of that for now. I want to test how fast I can go with my telekinesis and then I want to test how fast I can go with a nanite machine. Maybe I'll combine the two? Food for thought."
That said I focused on the task at hand and let it rip.
Boy was I zooming through the sky. Like a dolphin in the sea, I went into clouds and lept out of them. I did rolls and loops to see if I could keep up the same speed, and I could. Unfortunately, it seems like I can't fly full speed for long seeing as I started to bleed a little.
"Ahh shit. How long was that? About ten minutes, give or take. That's not bad considering I've been going at full speed that long. As for how fast I was going, I didn't break the sound barrier but it definitely felt faster than a car. Maybe 200 mph? Note to self, bring a speedometer next time.
Ugh, now I have to fly back to the junkyard. Actually, this is a perfect opportunity to use my nanites to fly."
