The clothes the World Pack gave us cemented what time we were in, the Colonial Era. Or at least some time near it.
"Can't you use your watch to figure out what time we're in?" I asked Amelia.
"If it was my reality, I'd be able to tell, unfortunately, we're not. I don't even know if my watch would work at all since it technically only works because it's connected to a certain warden."
"Oh right, forgot about that."
"Wait, you know about the Council? How?"
"In my old world, they debuted a year after your generation did."
"Cool."
"Wait, what are you talking about?" said Ciri confused at our conversation.
"We were talking about some very powerful people from her world." I answered.
"How powerful?" asked Yoruichi.
"They're pretty much gods. Chaos, Space, Nature, Time, and Civilization, they are these concepts themselves. And while three of them were crafted by the gods and one by mankind, their power is nothing to scoff at." I said.
"I've had a few run-ins with the Time Warden since I acquired her watch, and I've only ever been able to escape by wit and wisdom. I wouldn't think about fighting her on even grounds. She's fun though. Haha!" said Amelia before laughing.
"How complicated is your world, Amelia?" asked Ciri baffled by the information.
"Very."
"Okay, moving on. There's nothing we can go off of right now so we need to move. Our clothes tell us we're in the Americas sometime in the 1700s. Now, I could fly up and see if I can spot any signs of life or we could wing it and explore?" I said opening up the floor to everyone's opinions.
"Fly." x5
"Haha. I thought so. Ok, I'll only be a minute." I said before creating my invisibility suit and flying through telekinesis.
As I broke through the forest canopy I was able to see more of our surroundings, and it was beautiful. Mountains and forests as far as the eye can see yet untainted by mankind's hands.
'Humans are the worst, Jesus. All this beauty polluted and destroyed only for man to oppress each other over the color of skin or the god they believe in. Back on topic, I can't see anything yet I need to fly higher.'
If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
I flew a little higher and thankfully there were no clouds, so I could see without obstruction. Looking back and forth for a while, I was finally able to spot a clearing with what looked to be buildings of some kind. After confirming what direction to head towards, I flew back down to the group.
"See something?" asked Ciri.
"Yeah, I saw a clearing with traces of civilization. If we travel that way, we should reach there in no time." I said pointing North-East.
"Alright, let's go! I'm getting tired of waiting here!" Uzui said before sprinting forward.
"Me too." Guts added on before following suit.
"Kids." Yoruichi said while shaking her head with a smile.

After an hour or so of walking, we finally spotted the buildings I saw in the sky. Turns out they weren't buildings but tipis.
"Guess we might be earlier into the 1700s than I thought." I said to the group. "And remember, we are a traveling group that goes around finding odd jobs to make ends meet. I found each of you on our journey and we've traveled all over the colonies."
"toboʔihupiitʉ!" the man said with a group of them pointing their weapons at us.
"Hold on everyone. No one makes any sudden moves, okay?" I whispered to the group before taking one step forward with my arms up.
"toboʔihupiitʉ!" the man repeated inching my way with the spear.
"Whoa, whoa. We come in peace. We're just looking for some information." I said while trying to sound as calm as possible.
"tahkʉarʉ ʉkiitsi!" he shouted before someone else came. Someone who I can only presume to be the tribal chief and his family perhaps.
"wʉyupaʔnitʉ̠" he said to the group of men before looking at us.
"What is a strange group like yours doing this far out?"
"Yes, we are a strange group. We are adventurers of sorts, and we come seeking employment. And if not, information. Of course, we are willing to trade for it."
"Adventurers? I know not of that occupation."
"Yes, it's something we've come up with to describe ourselves. We don't only explore lands unknown but we adventure across the great lands in search of any who would pay for our services. We fight, track, hunt, deliver, and much more for the right price."
"Interesting. We have no need for your services, but what information do you seek?"
'I better ask if they've heard of any strange rumors, and directions to the nearest city.'
"We've heard rumors of strange happenings around these parts, do you happen to know anything about that?"
"Strange happenings? I haven-"
"I have." said a young female warrior.
"Naru!" said the tall young man next to her.
"You have? Like what, if you don't mind my asking?" I say, hopeful there might be some clue as to what world we're in.
"In the forest, there is something that is hunting."
'Hunting? A big animal of some kind? Is this a weird fantasy world set in America?'
"But it's not an animal. It skinned a snake alive and the footprints left behind were not of any animal I've seen."
"Interesting. Was it on four legs or two?"
"Two, I think, but I cannot be certain."
"Would you mind guiding us there? We will pay for your help."
"No! She won't be guiding you. She will show you the direction and no more." said the young man from before.
"Taabe!"
"Naru, you will not follow these strangers. Just point them in the direction and let it go."
"Fine. That way." she said before pointing towards the forest.
"I appreciate the help, would you like anythi-"
"No, we don't need anything." said the tribal chief with a tone of finality in his voice.
"Of course, sorry for disturbing you. We'll be on our way." I said before leaving with the group in the direction she pointed.
After walking a few minutes in the direction of the forest.
"Something on two legs that hunts, and takes trophies. We could only be in one world, Matt." said Amelia.
"Predator."
