'The most important part of a training montage is the music. More specifically, the Rocky theme song. Shit, need some earphones.'
I looked around my room for some earphones only to not find any.
'Damn. What 18-year-old boy doesn't have earphones? Ahh, should've picked some up when I bought the game. Also can't get any from the Shop, I don't have any points. Actually, what's with that? Don't these chats usually give daily points ranging from 0 to 100?'
[DGC Points are given out only once other members are invited.]
'Wait, that's not fair. What about the points from the days they're not going to be invited? I'm just missing out on those potential points?'
[That is correct. DGC urges admin to finish the mission as soon as possible if admin wishes to get points.]
'Ugh, what a waste of points. Okay, now I really need to speed up this mission thing. I'll come up with a plan after I do my training. Guess I'll just hum the Rocky theme song to myself then.'
With the Rocky song in my head, I began to train my control using legos. I would build the legos following the instructions but instead of using my hands, I would use my telekinesis.
At first, it was quite difficult. Combining two lego pieces while making sure both are afloat and steady is not as easy as it sounds. But after a few dozen tries, I was able to get it down pat. So I began to control more lego pieces all at once. First two, then four, then eight, and so forth. I was able to make it all the way to 16 lego pieces before I started to have a nose bleed.
'All in all, it was a good day's work. Matt couldn't even put two bricks together at the beginning of the movie, I'm already better off. I'll hold off on increasing the number of lego pieces and I'll try to do simultaneous building next time I train my control. That seems like a good plan for the foreseeable future.'
With the end of my training montage, I decided it was time to sleep.

I decided to sleep in seeing as it was a Sunday. A new day. This means one thing. New daily deal. Not that it matters much considering I have no points, but it'll give me an idea of what can be offered in the daily deal.
Opening my phone and clicking on Shop, I saw today's deals.
Daily Deals - 50% off!
- Potion of Mana - 100 pts
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
- Goblin's Loincloth - .4 pts
- John Wick's Evening Suit - 200 pts
'Ew, goblin's loincloth? Who would want that? .4 pts for that is still too much. John Wick's suit on the other hand is something I very much want. Even if I have no use for it, owning John Wick's suit would be pretty badass. But an all-black bulletproof suit would always have its uses. Too bad I can't afford it or anything for that matter.
The potion on the other hand gives me some information. The minor healing potion was 40 pts which means it's originally 100. This potion of mana is 100 pts which means it's originally 250. I'm assuming there is no potion tier in between minor and this one. It's a safe assumption that the next tier of mana potion would cost 500. Whew, that is a lot of points for a mana potion. Yet these all fall under the common tier. I wonder what potions in legendary are like. Or if there are any.'
At that, I heard someone knocking on my door.
RAT-TAT-TAT
"Mathew, honey, are you awake?" I heard the familiar voice of my mother call out.
'Time to face the music.' I thought as I got up to open the door.
"Yeah, mom, what's up?" I said opening the door to a figure. Debb Garetty, a 5'9" blonde lawyer and also my new mom.
'I can see where Matt got his looks from.' I thought in a completely familial way. Which was kind of weird, if I'm being honest. I had a family in my past life. One that I loved dearly, but in this life, I have a new family. And it's almost as if my love for my past family transferred to this one. When I see Debb Garretty, I don't see Debb Garetty. I see my mother. I imagine it'll be the same with my father.
"Are you okay honey?" said my mother, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Still a little groggy I guess."
"You should sleep earlier then, Matthew. A growing boy needs his sleep." she said reprimanding me in a way only a mother could.
"I'll be sure to do that mom. Wait, what'd you call me for?" I said trying to steer the conversation back on track.
"Oh right. Breakfast is ready."
"Okay. I just need to go wash up and I'll be there in a sec."
"Alright, honey."

Now sat at the table with both my parents, I ate my bacon and eggs while talking about random things like a family does. I also took this opportunity to look at my new dad. Greg Garetty, a 6'3" blonde giant would probably be an apt way to describe him. He was a mountain of a man and as it turns out he used to be in the Navy Seals. Once he got out, he opened his own import and export business using some of his old connections.
I know what you're thinking. It sounds like the plot of a bad action movie. Old enemies trudged up an old grudge and kill both of my parents. Me on a one-man mission to avenge them only to find out my dad was running a drug ring out of his import/export business. I overcome my grief and finish what I started only to end up as a pawn in a bigger web.
'Heh, such a bad movie... I would watch that.'
"You okay there son?" said my dad snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Hmm, oh yeah. Just daydreaming a bit. Oh right, I forgot to tell you guys Andrew's coming over later."
"Oh, it'll be nice to see him. It's been quite a while since I've talked to my sister. I don't even know what's going on in her life anymore. After your Uncle Richard got fired, I stopped hearing from her. I should call her soon."
That's when I realized that my parents had no idea that Aunt Karen had cancer. Richard must've kept her from telling them out of his shitty pride. Pride goeth before the fall, Richard.
'Now that I think about it, in the movie Matt and Andrew also drifted apart after they entered high school. They said it was because Matt was popular while Andrew wasn't but maybe it was because of Richard. He might've manipulated Andrew into believing that we didn't want to help them.
Interesting.'
