Justice

'Let me sweep the building first to see how many people are inside.'

Switching to heat vision on my mask, I was able to see that there were more people than I thought.

'Interesting. Seems like this is a bigger operation than I initially thought. That means the ones I saw were most likely one team, going by the fact there are way more than 4 people here. It also looks like they're packing up. Probably because Chloe escaped and they know it's only a matter of time before someone comes knocking on their door. Too bad I'm the one who knocks. ... Yeah, that was cringe good thing I'm the only one who heard it.

Anyway, I'm going to try to do this stealthily, after all, I could wipe out everyone here with my tk, but I want to live out my Assassin's Creed dreams. Not to mention I need to keep some of them alive for the cops to find, and to get more info out of.

I'll need to disable any cameras or recording devices. I could hack them, but I would have to get in contact with one first. Wait, if I remember correctly, the Yautja have EMP grenades on their ships. If I communicate with it, I should be able to add EMP capabilities to my mask. That way I can just render any electronic devices unusable without having to touch them.'

Thankfully I didn't have to take out the entire Yautja ship and look through it to find the EMP grenades. Clicking on the Yautja ship on my inventory, it had its own sub-inventory with a list of everything on the ship, almost like a video game. I pressed on the EMP grenades and took one out and communicated with it.

After getting the information about it, I put it back in my inventory before communicating with my OM-1 nanite to add EMP capability to my mask. I also added different power levels to the EMP. From being able to knock out small electronics like phones and such to knocking out any cameras or recording devices, and finally being able to shut down a city block. For now, I put it at knocking out any cameras and recording devices since I didn't want them to know there was something wrong just yet. As for the effective range of the EMP, I set it to cover the entire warehouse, which thankfully wasn't a giant one.

'Don't want any of them running away, I'll tell Smoke to keep a lookout for any stragglers or any new participants.'

"Smoke." I whispered before he appeared in front of me.

"You called?" he said looking around where we were.

"I'm going to infiltrate this warehouse and I need you to keep a lookout for anyone trying to run away or inform me if anyone's coming."

"Can I kill them if they run away?" he asked with some anticipation in his eyes.

"No, just knock them out."

"Fine." he grumbled before laying down while I began to make a plan.

'Most of them are concentrated to the back. I'm assuming that's where they're loading stuff into vehicles. There are two people guarding the entrance and both are armed. I'll take care of those two first before I move inside and start clearing the area.'

Making sure my stealth suit and mask were still on, I walk over the edge of the roof on the side that was right above the entrance. I look down and see the two men have their hands in their pockets, gripping the gun.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Slowly floating myself down, I activate my Perspective Minimum to get a good look at where their vagus nerve is. Having gotten a good look, I float myself right behind them and simultaneously chop both of them with enough force to make them pass out. Before they hit the ground I catch them with my tk so they don't make any noise.

'Whew. I'm glad I didn't crush their cervical spine. That was cool too. Just a karate chop to their vagus nerve like in the movies. Awesome.'

After moving both bodies to hide them from anyone approaching the building, I make sure no one is in the entrance area before I enter. The inside of the warehouse is very much like a stereotypical warehouse. A small office for an entrance area with a hall with more offices and a door that leads to the actual warehouse area.

Taking a look around the office area I didn't spot anyone, so I moved to the door leading to the warehouse area. There was no one near the door so I was able to open it and close it without worrying about someone seeing the door move.

'Let me get on top of the storage racks so I can get a better layout of the area.'

Flying to the top of a rack near me, I was able to see the layout of the warehouse. There were ten rows of storage racks near the office area and towards the back, there was an open space where trucks could reverse and drop or load merchandise. Currently, there were two big trucks being loaded by three men on each truck with two more keeping watch, though not well.

'Tch. No matter who I try to take out, one of them will notice. If I turn off the lights, I'll be able to do this easily.' I thought before ramping up the power on my EMP to shut off all power in the warehouse and switching to night vision.

CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK

"Кто выключил свет?" said one of the men in Russian.

'Russians, huh? I thought that was only a trope in movies and tv shows. Uhh, never mind.' I thought remembering what world I was in.

"Иди проверь автоматические выключатели." said the same man before two of them started walking away.

'I don't know Russian, but I'm assuming they're going to go check the circuit breakers. That reminds me, I need to learn Japanese before I go over there. Maybe I can buy All-Speak. Thoughts for later.'

Seeing the two men go away from the rest of the group, I floated above them and repeated what I did to the two men from earlier. Slowly putting them down on the ground, I decided to have some fun.

"Что так долго?" said the same one from earlier, sounding a little impatient.

Sneaking up behind him ala Batman, I put him in a chokehold and rapidly applied pressure to his carotid to make him pass out while I dragged him away.

"What was that?" asked one of them in a very heavy Russian accent.

With five left, I decided to scare them even more. Getting behind another of the men, I decided to make some noise by letting the body hit the ground after I knocked him out.

"What the hell was that?!" screamed another before I dragged him away into the darkness.

"Over there! Shoot!" said one of them before the three started shooting in the direction I had dragged their friend away. By that point, however, I was already floating behind them.

"Boo." I said before slinking away.

Seeing them panic was kind of funny, but I had had enough fun. Dropping down behind the three of them I rapidly knocked them out before they could react. With no one else to worry about, I turned down the strength of my EMP to allow for the lights to come back on. Seeing toughened criminals passed out with fear on their faces was funnier than I thought.

'I think I'll let the SVU handle the interrogation. I've done more than enough already, can't let them get all the rewards with none of the work.'

I went over to pick up one of the men's phones before I repaired it with my nanites. Then I called the non-emergency number of the police before being asked to be transferred to SVU saying I had some information about a case for them.

"Hello." answered a female voice which I recognized as Detective Benson. Quickly creating a voice modulator in my mask, I answered.

"Detective Benson. Abandoned Warehouse 99, NYC Pier. You'll find some men that have answers to a case." I told her in a modulated voice.

"Who is this?" she asked.

"Abandoned Warehouse 99, NYC Pier." I said before hanging up and crushing the phone.

'Hmm, might as well take a look around and see what they were packing up. A little curiosity never hurt anyone.' I thought before going into the back of one of the trucks and opening a box. Only to see something very interesting.

A few gold coins.
