Chapter 9 - Wandering Around Raixom Academy

Dam Son walked through the exit of Caromine Institute with his heavy sapphire suitcase dragging leisurely behind him. “Whew, that orientation was really helpful in getting me accustomed to things, but there is still so much I’ve yet to learn about this academy.”

“Indeed.” Papyrus replied with a fold of his pages. “Remember what that sexy teacher said about the products being cheaper here? Why don’t we go to one of the marketplaces to check out their stuff? Who knows, you might be able to get me that Letters Ink that we talked about.”

“That’s a brilliant idea, Papyrus. I can explore on my way there. This place is so vast and beautiful. I want to take all of it in.”

Dam Son started running along the expansive streets of Raixom Academy. It was safe to say that this place was likened to a compact city rather than a normal school solely designated for learning. Many activities and events were taking place all around, even at night this academy never sleeps. Need I remind you that this was also a third-rate leering institution in Vocabular? So imagine the superior academies. I reckon Dam Son’s would have been blown apart if he went there.

After running around for an hour, Dam Son’s legs started depleting in stamina. He stopped at the side of the street where he panted like an exhausted animal. “Wow, that marketplace is really far away. Not to mention the Tower of Residence. I can barely perceive its height from here. It will take me 4 more hours to reach there on foot, I think.”

“That is why you should have chartered a Book Vehicle but no, you got all excited and decided to run all the way there.” Papyrus smacked Dam Son’s head and asked him. “Have you learnt your lesson yet?”

“What lesson are you talking about, Papyrus? I ran because I wanted to increase my stamina. Every little bit of movement is a part of my training.”

“Oh, yeah?” Papyrus eyed Dam Son suspiciously. “Then continue running along then. I've calculated that by tomorrow you will reach your destination at your current pace.”

“Shut up, I can do this. Suit help me out here.” At that key moment, Dam Son remembered something important. Though he was wearing the Avatar of a Dark-Human, he was originally a levitating Sword & Suitcase being kept together by a one of a kind gemstone. This quality was only unique to him.

“That’s right! How could I forget such an important detail? My Avatar might not be able to do it at the moment but my blue counterpart can, right Suit?” Dam Son’s sapphire suitcase rolled around in response.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“Huh?” Papyrus was at a loss as to what Dam Son was communicating about with his sapphire suitcase, it later understood that Suit wasn’t such a simple object.

“Suit lift us up!” Dam Son tossed his sapphire suitcase onto the floor then sat on it. Second later, Suit started levitating at Dam Son’s will. “Alright, it worked! Take us to the market, Suit!”

The sapphire suitcase sped up its velocity, Papyrus had to enter incognito mode where it completely vanished so as to not get carried off by the violent wind trails.

“We made it!” Coming to a halt over a bustling market complex, Dam Son hopped off his sapphire suitcase and landed below. “Come down Suit. Papyrus you can come out too. We’ve already stopped moving fast.”

“Then make way for me to manifest.” Papyrus gradually revealed its presence with the intent of glory.

“Stop showing off would you?” Dam Son grabbed Papyrus’s fold then carried it off further in the market. “This place has a wide array of things. It’s puzzling my mind what to choose.”

“Go over there, newborn. I think that might be a Papyrus Maintenance Store.”

“Okay.” On his way to the Papyrus Maintenance Store, Dam Son ran into a chubby person who he previously battled in the admission matches. “Huh, isn’t that Demi-Human girl…?”

Dam Son began waving to a chubby participant in the distance that he recognized, moreover, forced his way through the crowd while calling out, “Hey! Pretty girl! Over here!”

“Huh, you?” Balloona who was being accompanied by her friends, shrieked behind them when she recognized Dam Son dashing towards her while saying ‘pretty girl’ in a conspicuous voice for everyone to take notice of.

“Balloona do you know that loud boy?”

“He looks familiar.”

“Wait, isn’t he that rat you spoke about who defeated you at the first round of the admission matches?”

“Hey, pretty girl, remember me? I’m the one you fought against before. Huh, why are you hiding behind that person?”

“Why do you think, Dark-Human.” One of Balloona’s friends spoke up for her. “She is obviously embarrassed by you. You can’t just go around in public shouting out ‘Pretty girl! Pretty girl!’ like a crazy person.”

“Oh, really?” While scratching the side of his head appearing to be confused, Dam Son stared at Balloona who was still hiding behind her friend’s sleeve. He smiled and said, “Sorry for offending you. I just couldn’t remember your name. Hey, are you hearing me?” He tried getting a better view of Balloona by peeking over the bold girl’s shoulders.

“Hey, back off!” One of the ladies pushed Dam Son away. “Are you a pervert or something? Geez, so disgusting. Come on Balloona, we’re getting out of here.”

“Hum.” Balloona assented to her friend’s wishes. She snuck a glance at Dam Son as she left. She was interested in Dam Son’s quality but due to the embarrassment of being in the company of her arrogant friends, she couldn’t show it. ‘I hope he doesn’t resent me for what happened.’

“Huh? Why did that girl push me down?” Dam Son was bewildered. “Did I do something wrong just now, Papyrus?”

“Don’t ask me. Understanding a maiden’s heart is a complex thing even for me to decipher. Pick yourself up. A lot of nosy people are starting to stare.”

“Hiup.” Right after standing up, Dam Son accidentally bumped into an elderly man who was carrying an empty cart; causing the fragile bottle of wine that he had in his hand to fall onto the ground.
