The fiery rock monster no longer terrorised Raixom Academy’s central hub due to the combined efforts of 4 valiant students. Later that night, Dam Son along with the rest of his classmates were all released from Raixom Academy Campus Station after being subjected to a series of questioning. The head of the guards was an intimidating individual who knew how to squeeze the correct answers from those he interrogated. This being Vor Eyes' first offence, they allowed him to walk with a proper warning.
“Guys, you’re finally out.” Coming outside, Dam Son and the others who were previously held captive saw Sugar Bun and Trish waiting for them at the entrance. “What took you all so long?”
“Cut the chitchat Trish. We’re heading back.” Cinder Burn led the way for her crew. Together, the Leaf Widows journeyed to the Tower of Residence.
Sugar Bun went over to Xuan Li and asked, “So, how did it go inside?”
“Tsk, they asked us a bunch of annoying questions. It’s a good thing you didn’t join us earlier, turtle. I’m feeling sleepy, catch you guys tomorrow.”
“Hey, wait up!” After saying goodnight to Dam Son, Sugar Bun chased after Xuan Li’s shadow. “Would you stop walking so damn fast?”
“Try and keep up slow turtle.” Xuan Li kept on walking briskly with his hands tucked into his pants pockets.
Together with Dam Son outside Raixom Academy Campus Station, Vor Eyes offered his sincere gratitude. “I am sorry for lashing out at you earlier. I know you tried your best to save the core.” Bowing slightly, he continued, “Thanks again for saving my life.”
“No problem.” Dam Son wasn’t offended by Vor Eyes’ earlier remark, thus he easily forgave him. “I still can’t believe that you built that powerful monster. Your Wordsmith abilities must be at the expert level.”
“Not yet.” Vor Eyes’ blush truly made him seem effeminate at that moment. “My skills aren’t that great. My failed invention can attest to that.”
“So what were you trying to create anyway?” Dam Son became curious.
“What I was trying to build is an autonomous creature with individual consciousness. I see now the error in my invention. As soon as I rebuild my lab, I will get straight to rectifying my mistakes and finding new solutions.”
“Well, I don’t know much about that Wordsmith stuff but you being able to create such a powerful monster shows just how knowledgeable you are.”
“Oh, thank you.” Dam Son’s compliment formed another brilliant blush on Vor Eyes’ countenance. Speaking softly, he said, “If you want, I can refine Raw Mundane Letters for you free of charge as a thank you for saving my life.”
“I would love that, better yet, I want to know how to do it myself.”

“Oh, then I can definitely teach you how. It isn’t that difficult if you have the proper mindset. Here is my contact.” Vor Eyes exchanged Guide details with Dam Son. “When you’re ready, stop by my lab. I should be able to get it up a running again within 2 days.”
“Alright, I’ll do that. See you around.” Finished speaking to his new friend, Dam Son tossed out his levitating sapphire suitcase, got on then flew off in the direction of the Tower of Residence.
“He seems like a nice person.” Vor Eyes directed his feet in the opposite direction to where the explosion occurred earlier. “When my brother finds out about what happened, he’s going to be so pissed.”
A few minutes later, Vor Eyes arrived at the chaotic scene. He began fishing through the rubble, trying to salvage supplies that could be useful. While there, a cloaked man snuck up behind him unannounced. “Why is this place in ruins?”
“Huh?” Vor Eyes was startled by the displeased voice that suddenly spoke to him. Turning around, he recognized who it was. “Brother, what are you doing here? You came back a lot early than expected.”
“I received a call from someone who said they spotted you along with some other kids being escorted into the Campus Station. I came to assess what was going on. Why is my lab in ruin, was this due to another one of your failed experiments?”
“You hit the nail right on the head, big brother.” Vor Eyes tried to assuage his brother’s seriousness with laughter. “I’m sorry that the lab got destroyed. I was going to rebuild it before you get back.”
“Forget about it. This area is too exposed anyway. We’ll go somewhere with a little more seclusion.”
“Why do you have to be so sneaky all the time big brother? You never show your face in public, you usually come around during night times and what’s with that dark getup? You should consider giving your skin a bit more air.” Vor Eyes wasn’t aware that his brother was a part of a shady organization.
“That’s enough out of you, Vor. You’re coming with me to the new lab.”
“Fine! I’m only changing locations because it isn’t safe here for me to do my experiments. And this new place better not be too far away from civilization. Some friends of mine will be coming over soon for my assistance.”
“Friends? Since when do you have friends?” Vor Eyes’ brother was surprised by this utterance. “Forget about it. Do you have everything?”
“I do.”
“Then, let’s be on our way.” Vor Eyes’ brother flipped a Blue Kismet Coin which generated a small portal. Together, they went through it until they vanished out of sight.
……
A day later, Dam Son received an early invite on his Papyrus from Vor Eyes. He asked Sugar Bun and Xuan Li if they wanted to come with but they blatantly refused his offer because they didn’t want to get caught up in another one of Vor Eyes’ failed experiments, thus Dam Son went alone.
The new lab wasn’t that far away from the Tower of Residence, therefore, Dam Son arrived there in no time at all. Not many establishments were close by, so if another eruption was to occur, it wouldn’t cause such a great uproar as last night.
“Dam Son, you came!” Vor Eyes waited for Dam Son outside the lab’s entrance. Glancing behind him he asked, “Where are the others?”
“They had something else to do. I’m here though.”
“Great, I’m so glad you came. Come in let me show you around.”
On the tour, Dam Son became amazed by the interior décor, “Wow, you built this intricate place overnight, your skills as a Wordsmith are truly amazing.”
“Thank you but I didn’t build this lab overnight. It’s my brother’s place. He allowed me to use it when he’s not around.”
“Oh, is your brother an expert Wordsmith as well?”
“He’s one of the best but that isn’t his main mastery. Enough about him, didn’t you come here today for me to teach you how to refine Raw Mundane Letters?”
“I did.”
“Then follow me to my workstation. Prepare to be even more amazed. Dabbling with Raw Mundane Letters is the greatest feeling for a Wordsmith.” Vor Eyes led Dam Son to his workstation with glee gracing his countenance.
