Dam Son sat on a participant’s bench near the stage to regain his depleted stamina. “Suit I’m thirsty.” As he spoke, a small Noun Script slipped out of the opening of Dam Son’s sapphire suitcase which transformed into a large bottle of fragrant water.
“Ahh! That hit the spot.” Dam Son wiped away some trickling droplets from his lips then exuded a low belch. Glancing around, Dam Son realized something. “Hey, Papyrus there aren’t that many participants left in Block-C.”
“Well, the administrators stop accepting new applicants a while back since it is getting closer to dusk. That’s why there are fewer people. Most of who you see here have already won more than one battle. Just one lost and all of their efforts will be wasted.”
“I disagree with you Papyrus, I’ve learnt so much from these previous bouts.”
“Of course, you would say that. You are a newborn after all.”
As Dam Son continued conversing with his floating Papyrus, the referee hopped on stage then called out the next combatants. “We’re nearing the end of our admission matches for the day. As such, all participants of Block-C will mostly face elimination. I advise that you bring your best leg forward. For the next match, Applicant-600 and Applicant-620 please come up.”
“Huh, Applicant-600?” Dam Son thought of something as he searched his eyes around the crowd of remaining participants. “Isn’t Applicant-600 that Demi-Human girl?” shortly after gazing around, Dam Son identified his imperious opponent climbing atop the stage. “That’s her! The Demi-Human with the mysterious gourd and whip of numbers.”
“It’s Cinder Burn! She’s finally getting her chance again after waiting so long. And look who she is up against. That Dark-Human with the stupid name.” The spectators started gossiping among themselves.
“He’s dead meat for sure. Cinder Burn is going to eat his rocky ass up.”
“I don’t know. That Dark-Human seems competent enough to hold his own in a match.”
“Stop talking gibberish! There is no way Cinder Burn is going to lose to that little maggot when her enrolment hangs in the balance. All she needs is one more victory to get into Raixom Academy.”
“I suppose you do have a point. Let’s just watch and see what happens.”
“Yes, yes. Let’s not assume too much too early. Wait until the match begins.”
Both participants made it on stage. While the spirited referee was reiterating the rules, Dam Son was meticulously analysing his formidable opponent.
“This Demi-Human girl is dangerous. Based on her previous matches, she ended them all with one strike. I bet she thinks she can do the same with me. Just that look of hauteur in her eyes says as much. One thing is for certain if I allow her to attack first then I’m done for. I will have to utilize everything at my disposal to defeat her swiftly.” He smirked.

“Huh?” Cinder Burn noticed a smile resting on Dam Son’s dried lips which prompted her to raise a brow in disgust. ‘Is that Dark-Human excited to face me? Fhm, pathetic whelp. I will destroy him spectacularly just like the others who came against me.’
In truth, Dam Son wasn’t smirking because he was excited but mostly because he was anxious. As proof of this, his hand which gripped the handle of his sapphire suitcase was shaking slightly.
The referee standing in the middle of the combatants glanced at them to see if they were ready then slashed his hand downwards. “Begin!”
Dam Son dashed forth like a raging tyrant. The referee who usually vanished right after he commenced the matches didn’t get the chance to disappear before Dam Son made his move. “Papyrus I’m going in!”
“Right!”
[Basic Word Fu Script: Smash] (Activated) -5(MAPL)
“Suit, go forward!” Instead of his created Avatar, Dam Son applied the Smash Script to his sapphire suitcase as he slapped it towards Cinder Burn’s character with vehement force.
“Tsk. Pathetic brat.” Cinder Burn thought that she could easily smack away Dam Son’s frontal assault with her pinkie. Hence why she didn’t motion to dodge the incoming sapphire suitcase any time soon. “An incompetent Word Fu pretending to be a Word Augmenter? How disgusting. I will teach him not to imitate a professional Word Augmenter… huh?”
Dam Son unleashed the bulky surface of his sapphire suitcase on Cinder Burn’s arrogant mien. Its heavy density coupled with the streaking blue effects of the Smash Script transformed Suit into a deadly force to be reckoned with.
“How?” Before she knew it, Cinder Burn got smashed several metres away. She was well past the boundaries of the stage. When she finally stopped moving was after she crashed into the judges’ panel. The onlookers were incredulous after witnessing this shocking scenery.
“We… We have a winner!” The referee came late with his announcement because he too was flabbergasted that Cinder Burn, the star prodigy of Block-C was obliterated so easily by an unknown entity.
“I… I won?” Even Dam Son disbelieved how powerful his strike had been at first. “I won! I really won! Amazing! Suit you’re a badass you know that? If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t have won so easily. Yea! Yea!” Dam Son was blazing on stage, letting everyone in the audience know of his unbridled excitement.
“How? How did this happen?” Cinder Burn who had just picked her dirty behind up from the ground refused to believe that she had lost to a rocky entity. “He must have cheated somehow. There is no way that someone of my calibre would be defeated so miserably. I demand a rematch! Do you hear me? I demand a rematch!” She started behaving like an angry lunatic while pointing her unsheathe Whip of Numbers at Dam Son.
“Calm down Applicant-600! The match is already over.” The judges had to hold back Cinder Burn from doing something reckless. “You can always try again in the admission matches tomorrow. If you continue behaving so disorderly we will have no other choice but to revoke your application. Do you hear me?”
“AAAH!” Cinder Burn let loose a violent shout at Dam Son before storming out of the Mystic Arena with her livid complex polluting the air.
“Huh? What’s her problem?” Dam Son didn’t understand why his defeated opponent was so upset until Papyrus educated him.
“That girl is what we commonly call a sore loser. She was so arrogant up till the point when you gave her a swift spanking.”
“Oh. So she’s upset about losing to me?”
“That’s right. You did great out there.” Papyrus gave Dam Son a shoulder bump of praise.
