“Ahf! We finally made it to the top.” Exhaustion was painted all over Dam Son’s Dark-Human Avatar. The moment he set foot on the peak of the mountain, he dropped himself flat onto the ground. His impact affected the durability of the bottles of liquor he was carrying.
Seeing this prompted an outburst from the elder’s lip. “Oi, brat be careful with my wine!” he ran towards the cart apace and prevent two bottles from falling over. “If you’re tired why don’t you take the load off? Tsk, young brat these days. They have no physical stamina. They’re too dependent on Magical Scripts to do their bidding, as a result, they became this damn weak. Tsk, tsk, tsk.”
The elder took the burden off Dam Son’s back and carried the packed cart of liquor towards a small hut nearby.
Present on the flat mountain peak was only a tattered temple abode, storage hut, rough rocks and vegetation, moreover, few chirping animals. There wasn’t much grandeur to be seen here aside from the high view of the academy.
The swindling elder opened the door of his storage hut then brought the cart inside. There were some broken wine bottles all over the floor. He used his feet to sweep them in the corner. “Uwah, this place is a mess. Spiders are starting to take over. I won’t share any of my liquor with you 8-
The elder pushed forwards a single finger. Shortly, all the webs spread about in the hut began twirling around his finger. They looked similar to thing threads of weaving clouds. The fat spiders on the webs were trying to sling to safety but they got wheeled into compression as well.
“This should be all of them, bastards.” Finished weaving the webs which now resembled a white cotton candy, the elder placed it into his mouth and ate it. “Ah, nutritious. Now to wash it all down.” To get rid of the web residue clogging his throat, he grabbed a bottle from the cart. All he did was hold the base of the bottle steady in his palm, yet the contents inside came out in a swirling fashion and entered his opened mouth.
‘Gulp! Gulp!’
“What was that?” Dam Son was slouching at the door’s entrance with his eyes opened in amazement. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”
“Huh?” The elder glared at Dam Son from the corner of his eyes. ‘I forgot that this brat was still here. I should hurry and chase him away so I can enjoy my drink.’
“Ahem.” The elder came to the door and placed his hand on Dam Son’s head. “Young lad, you’ve already repaid your debt for knocking me over in the streets earlier. Don’t you have classes to attend or friends to meet? Best be on your way now. Go! Go!” He was chasing Dam Son away as if he was a stray chicken.
“Hey, wait a moment.” Dam Son refused to be chased away so easily. He stamped his feet into the ground, making it more difficult for the elder to shove him down the thousand flight of steps.
“This stubborn brat. Why do you refuse to leave? You’re not taking back my liquor so beat it.”
“No! I’m not interested in taking back the wine I gave you.”
“Then what.” The elder stopped pushing Dam Son and listened to his reasons.
“Ahm, I’m just curious about what you did back there with the webs and the wine. Was that some sort of trick accomplished by hidden scripts?”

“What nonsense are you talking about?”
“You know. That thing you did with your finger. How did you attract those webs?”
“Oh, that?” The elder just figured out what Dam Son was referring to. “That is nothing to be so amazed about. It was a simple thing accomplished by the basic manipulation of Natural Verb Force.”
“Natural Verb Force?” It was the first time this information was getting registered in Dam Son’s Wisdom Stone. “What is that, a unique script?”
“Script? Of course not. Do you take this old master for a simpleton? Go now. It’s getting late and I don’t want to miss my drinking hours.” He started pushing Dam Son down the mountain again.
“Wait! Wait! I want to know more about that Natural Verb Force thing. You see, I just enrolled in this academy and don’t know much. Please instruct me, mister!”
“I’m not your educator. Go to classes. That is where you will learn crap.”
“Wait! Wait!! Please tell me more about that force thing. Why are you being so stingy when I bought you all of those bottles of wine? Because of you, I have no more Q-currency left. The least you can do is give me something useful in return.”
‘This damn brat does make a valid point. All that wine he bought can sustain me for 2 days.’ The elder withdrew his grasp from Dam Son’s body. “If I tell you, will you leave right after?”
“Yes! Yes!” Dam Son nodded while answering audibly. “If you teach me I’ll leave right away.”
“So be it then. Watch and listen carefully for I’m only going to show you once. Give me your hand.”
“Ok.” Dam Son willingly gave his hand over to the swindling elder. “Like this?”
“Loosen your hand a bit more, brat.” After giving Dam Son’s arms a few slaps, the elder position his left palm underneath Dam Son’s right hand then began his brief lecture. “Visualize increments of the wind building up inside of you. Let it flow from your feet to the very tip of your fingers. I will use some of my internal energy to guide you in sensing the unique sensation.”
Dam Son felt a spiral of chopping wind flowing through the tip of his palm, travelling to the rest of his body. The elder started using his own Natural Verb Force to speed up the sensing process for Dam Son.
“Brat, have you ever utilized a Word Fu Script before?” Dam Son nodded. “Then reminisce about that feeling. The energy that is executed upon assimilating with a script’s attributes is very similar to Natural Verb Force. The only difference is that this force comes from within you, not by external influence. This is the basis on which the ancient Word Masters started their journey.
By comprehending Natural Verb Force, it will strengthen your foundation beyond your expectation. Word Masters nowadays are mostly dependent upon scripts to power up themselves. But without proper mastery over Natural Verb Force, it will only cripple your potential. Try and sense the energy that I’m pouring into you. Let it guide the opening of your Creative Word Compilation and become your own.”
The swindling elder’s palm was dancing with Dam Son’s hand. Their fluid motion gradually generated a dark mass of forming wind.
“I think I feel something.” Dam Son followed the elder’s guidance in understanding Natural Verb Force. After some minutes of mimicking the elder’s flowing motion, a twirling embodiment of visible V’s began oscillating above Dam Son’s palm. “This is…?”
“Natural Verb Force.” The elder finished while looking slightly astonished. ‘This damn brat actually learnt how to manifest his Natural Verb Force already? It took me several years before I discovered this sensation. I was only teaching him a tiny tip of sensing internal Letter-Force so that he could hurry up a leave my mountain. I never imagined him to learn and adapt so quickly. This year’s batch of students must possess lots of raw talent.’
Now that he did what he promised. The elder withdrew his grasp from Dam Son’s hand. Immediately after doing so, the swirling dark mass of V’s vanished into thin air. “Go now and never come back here. If you want to get better, do it repetitiously until you can control Natural Verb Force on your own. To maximize your practice efficiency, refrain from any form of script assimilation. Now go!”
The elder kicked Dam Son along with his sapphire suitcase down the lengthy stairway carved into the mountain pass. He then dusted off his palms as if he had just gotten rid of a pesky cockroach. “Why do I have the weirdest feeling that I will be seeing that potential brat again? I should have never shown him where I live.”
Looking up to the sky, the elder realized that it had gotten late. “Oh shoot! I hope my bottles haven’t gotten lonely.” The swindling elder went back into his storage hut to sample the multiple bottles of cheap wine.
