Alexander Creed: Re-Life
Chapter 82: Agenda's Shift

Chapter 82: Agenda's Shift

If Creed Comics had been having phenomenal sales since its existence, then the advent of Volume Books truly gave it the identity to make phenomenal profits.

That is not to say that they didn't profit before, it was just that they were doing it better now.

In the niche market of single-issue sales, Creed titles were already a ludicrous business in the industry. When that single-issue ludicrosity is transferred to high-price Volume Books, then the effect is already within expectations.

Although the first-day sales record wasn't anything phenomenal, it already set the stage for what's about to come.

Creed single issues were limited after all but Volume Books didn't have that restriction so the sales were incremental with time.

As the storylines and arcs of TMNT and Dragonball would continue onwards, it would also continue to accumulate traction over the years which would also make the 1st Volumes be the ones with the most sales.

1984 kids, teens, and parents familiar with those popular Creed titles are already buying as they can. When the kids, teens, and parents of the succeeding years are taken into account, the terrifying sales implications could already be predicted.

Unlike traditional American trade paperbacks and comic storylines that would become obsolete due to its incoherence, Volume Books had traces of the Japanese manga archetype to always be relevant as the story goes on for years.

Essentially, every Volume Book that the Creed would release on the market was a seed that would always draw in money as long as someone was interested.

If Creed Comics was an idle game like Cookie Clicker, TMNT and Dragonball Volume Books were the 'bot' cookie-makers that would give a seemingly endless amount of cookies and is quite dependent on time.

To upgrade such 'cookie-making bots', all that had to be done was add more quality volumes and make the stories relevant.

This was why Intellectual Properties were sought after and why a lot are clamoring to have their own. One could be an idle tycoon if they could handle one IP properly.

Unfortunately, a lot could only weep as Alexander's self-appointed title as Franchise Plunderer is no joke.

Besides he wouldn't have to worry for a while about handling the many franchises he has already, Creed Comics has him somewhat covered and secured on the management part.

Although it was still in comic books factor of the franchise formula, its six-month run from March to current August was nothing short of spectacular.

All that Alexander has to concern himself now was expanding the number of comic book franchises he has at had hand or expanding outwards to other franchise sectors.

It was too bad that Creed Toys and Creed Animations could not be rushed, so he just had to currently settle with establishing RoboCop and Predator first.

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Although the industry is still reeling with Creed Comics' consecutive market-changing movement, it probably wouldn't hurt to slip in a few more.

The Cybertronian Chronicles previously had priority due to its time-sensitive swiping issue with Hasbro and Takara.

Now that a few issue releases had been done and a stock of many succeeding issues are ready to be processed, it was time for the cyborg and alien hunter to be doctored to Alexander's whim.

------

It was a good thing that he already had a preliminary outline of all the things he might or might not do with the two properties.

This time, Alexander had to flesh out a lot of kinks and mostly add things up from other related and possible pop culture references.

Unlike all the other plundered properties he had worked on, RoboCop and Predator had the weakest staying power after all.

Although the two did have some relative success to boast about, it seems to pale in comparison compared to the success of the others.

Dragonball was the staple and inspiration of battle manga and a legend in its industry. It is the industry leader before the big shonen trio made up by One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach came into the picture.

TMNT is an unexpected hit that sold many toys and is iconic to many. It had unexpectedly successful films and rebooted series that are hits in their rights.

ThunderCats was an 80s mega-cartoon and toy-seller that could go toe to toe with nostalgia giants such He-Man and Voltron. Although it did have its rough spots moving forward from the 80s, there was no denying that it had nostalgic appeal.

Transformers was a mega-toy churning franchise, blockbuster film series, and had a lot of successful cartoons that trump ThunderCats, He-Man, and Voltron. Many couldn't resist the appeal of one toy that can do many things- such as transform, be a robot, and be a toy car.

The early RoboCop trilogy always came off as a semi-successful series of B movies while its animated run was middling in ratings. It even had a game that pitted it with T-800 but all the aforementioned others had better ones.

Even the Predator's greatest success should be that one movie with Schwarzenegger's presence. The rest of its solo movies didn't really just stick. Perhaps the only thing that made appealing was its success in 'Versus' movies and comics but its popularity ends there.

From those comparisons, Alexander had his work cut out for him as he plans to make these two low-level franchises reach the heights of the high-level others.

Of course, RoboCop being a hybrid of Iron Man, Judge Dredd, and any popular cop story that Alexander's improved memory could remember would have the cyborg's story reach the potential that he failed to previously achieve

As for the Predator and the Yautjas, Alexander had a special designation and release trick for them to not be shackled with just being foils for the likes of buff Arnold, Superman, Batman, and the xenomorphs.

All in all, he finally had a detailed and much grander outline of their stories which should cover their franchise reaching great heights.

Of course, the natural course that Alexander usually goes through with them is to go into an extremely productive comic-booking madness but before he could do all that, life just has to come with unexpected schedule changes.

------

The schedule changer came as Alexander is set to go home with the Jovovich ladies.

Miss Galina and Milla were also already used to his quiet quirks and perfunctory answer to questions so they were much at ease.

Of course, this wasn't the usual ride as Miss Galina dished out some baffling news that she was told to pass on. "Alex, Mr. Creed told me to tell you that you need to take a 'little boss' break for a couple of days."

"What's the reason for it?" He asked with the usual lack of enthusiasm for things that disturb his rhythm.

"He just said that you have to inspect what you have screenwritten." Galina said somewhat verbatim but asked. "What does that mean by the way?"

"It has something to do with Hollywood, Miss Galina." Alexander simply answered as he knew that comics had to wait. Of course, he also noticed how his babysitter's eyes had shone from his revelation.

Thus, film stuff suddenly became on their agendas.
