How could one miss an obvious plot when it is blatantly grinning at you?
Alexander could only sigh at how many complications the old man would go through to see him be... expression-able.
This is what one gets for having a weird grandpa or maybe what one gets when one is abnormal in itself.
Anyways, dwelling on that wouldn't do much good to Alexander, he just had to do the voice acting job and move on from it.
After this first season recording, he had his way to think of reasons to renegade on the next Goku gig. They could just find the proper and long-term replacement by then.
With that "reward" at the end of a challenge, Alexander focused-ly perked up as he could to remember Seasoned Hayao's VA prompts, read the script, and lend his voice to this animation project of his.

With little boss Alex taking a deep breath, everyone keeping their eyes glued to the recording room took a deep breath as well.
Alexander Creed had grown into something pervading within s span of a year and more. The outside world marveled at what the man's creations have achieved and pretty much lauded the creator as well.
It was only the inner employees of the Creeds that knew much privvier information. Nonetheless, it still made them admire the little boy for his incredulity and incredibility.
Of course, people in this 'sound' compartment also knew of their little boss' coolness to the point of coldness and his expressionless indifference.
His rare smile is an ominous rarity on its own and those who heard from the legal team about the little boss's emanating anger had already compounded a lot of imageries in their mind.
Gossip traveled fast but every gossip about little boss Creed traveled much faster in Creed companies. Like gossip that is construed as it would pass on from one person to the next, the gossip about their little boss had pretty much imprinted an idea in the employee's mind: Little boss showing emotions is big news!
Newbie Courteney Cox, who has just gotten her semblance of being a Creed employee, was caught up in everyone's rapt attention as well.
She had already acquainted herself with the shockingly young Alexander Creed but she was still shocked at how much influence he could have on the bunch of dub-processing and overseeing adults in the room.
Being the source that is empowering everything in Creed does have its quirks and perks.
Meanwhile, the spectating TMNT VAs were more or less the same in having their eyes locked on the Goku VA. They still had no clue as to why this sound processing team was drawn into a little boy but the production crew must have a reason for doing so.
As such, they scrutinized the boy in the room and near the specialized microphone as well. Voice acting and dubbing in this animation crew seemed like an all-new experience and they just wanted to go with the flow... lest they feel left behind.
Even Old Sullivan felt like his old heart was stuck to his throat from all the built-up anticipation. He really didn't mean any harm but just want to see what his cute grandson had been before the incident.
He was a little baby toddler who is cute, bubbly, and always smiling from expectation to see his visiting grandpa.
The transformative mourning and the fast development of character had pretty much sealed Alex to the current him. However, there were still ways to turn back time and Old Creed just wanted to relish in the melancholy of it.

Acting or voice acting may be fake but it can still embody the good old times.

Eventually, the subject of their expecting and prying eyes did start. None of them expected a simple VA session start would lead to such build-up but they at least put their full attention to everything.
Nonetheless, what they observe was still a sight on its own.
Everyone could tell that the boy in the stands had a much colder countenance. It wasn't outright shown but it could be felt.
Just as how elderly men emit a wise and experience aura, the depressed express languidness and decrepitness, the boss unconsciously seems un-offendable to their employees(at least not directly to their faces), an actor and actress would radiate bits of enviable fame and countless other examples where a person's character seems to stand out from the rest.
Not everyone has this intangible trait but anyone who does is sure to be a notable person. This aura, charm, or charisma was just something that they had whether they be the emperor, the king, the elderly, an actor, the talented, the NEET, and many more.
What stands out to the boy was that cold indifference that seems natural and unnatural on its own. A lot could be explored more on that but what made things intriguing is how that cold indifference was wiped out with ease.
The cold-y feel that they mostly saw from their little boss or grandson or VA co-worker was gone. It was replaced by something much mellow, zen, and naive.
The boy in front of the mic was the same boy from before but there was just something that could be intangibly felt from him.
Keeping every spectator's weird spectating eyes out of his mind, Alexander just wanted to get on with it and get it done. After all, being oogled over like a zoo animal was not a good feeling.
Others relish in attention but he was not. This was the start though and he could only hope that things would be normalized soon. These folks should get used to every "new" thing he would do at some point.
Acting is said to be infectious and you just need to focus on it for things to be called upon.
His cold countenance has already turned into Goku's young and martial-y naivete. He was unaware of how that aura shift has already turned people's perceptions and just continued as he should.
The first issue of Creed version Dragonball is about Goku chopping wood, adventuring in his home's forest area, catching fish, and embodying martial arts. Many parts of Dragonball episode 1 survey around that, so Alexander just had to visualize all that to make it work.
His enhanced mind churned and the squarish and real feel of the recording room was out of his sight. His thoughts reformed it into the animated world of Dragonball but retained the script for him to read from.
The Goku of his mind martial punched, so he appropriated his voice as well. His imagined Goku chopped wood, so his voice seemed to chop wood as well.
Of course, while he had removed himself from his recording reality, Seasoned Hayao and his dubbing constituents were guiding and correcting him as they should.
Alexander's imagined animated world could not be seen by others but with the musical accompaniment of the sound team, it became much more immersive for him.
The stream where the giant fish swam and the tree-filled hills where Goku traversed seemed much more natural for Alexander to get lost on.
If Seasoned Hayao asked him to re-record a certain line, Alexander simply obliged while his imagined world replayed to fit the timing.
Although his imagination wouldn't be the one that is finalized in the 'animation' compartment, Alexander hoped that his Creed Animation's finished product would be as amazing as it is.
Just like he had his many modes ranging from comic booking, and toy-making, to business mode, Alexander was full-on VA mode now and would continue as long as Director Miyazaki asked him to.
He was reluctant to take part in VA but that didn't mean he would half-ass things.
-----
Nonetheless, the spectators and even the professional Hayao Miyazaki were just shocked to see an entirely different Alexander from the one they knew.
They've been recording and dubbing for about 2 hours now but the boy in the recording room was way too Goku-esque and unreal with his emanated aura.
Although the boy was a true voice acting noob and had many re-takes, he hadn't broken from the Goku character and pressed on.
For the knowledgeable Creed employees, it was hard to tell which was real: the cold and detached little boss or the martial-y naive boy who seems to have brought the drawn Goku to a "voiced" life.
Courteney was misunderstood as a method actress of Bulma but seeing a real-life embodiment of being sunk deep into a character was something else.
As for Old Creed, he remembered his grandson messing around with Doc Brown-y Lloyd and seldom with method-crazy Stoltz McFly while on the BttF set. He had to give those two some bonuses for giving him the key to unlocking his grandson's emotions from his "emotion-less" state!
Uncaring for their disturbed thoughts, Alexander was still in his VA-mode and Goku-zone.
