And as that meet-up wrapped up, it about wrapped up the rest of February as well.
For the most part, it was basically just Deadpool, the return of Marvel and its new resurgence, Wonder Drew and Drew's birthday, and then there's settling bits of 'When Harry Met Sally...' at about the last minute.
Not exactly the lovely and romantic offerings that fit the theme of the season.
At the very least, some of them can be. If one wants them to be.
It's not just about Deadpool's redness and that personalized gift to his girlfriend, the last-minute inclusion of When Harry Met Sally... quite especially.
Which are about all that are of note... in Alexander's opinion.
Other matters must have happened, as a matter of fact, yet not really that noteworthy to note about.
For him, looking back on those other inconsequentials was really just a step backwards, so... to change things up, a look forward would be quite welcome.
Hence, on a Saturday, at the very brink of the next month, Alexander inadvertently asked. "How is my schedule like for this month of March, Miss Consigliere?"
Who happens to be the very somebody who very much takes notes of these sorts of things.
His secretary slash assistant, however, felt that something was out of the blue for him to inquire about updates on his schedule like this.
Could it be because of that mis-timed appointment with Courteney that he just had?
Of course, as out of place as this and that was, she still did what she was hired to do.
"If you're looking into some specifics for tomorrow..." Quick to flip through an invite, she informed. "...you've actually been invited to Miss Cybill Sheperd's wedding with a Dr. Oppenheim. And it's just around the neighborhood."
"Yeah, that's a no on that." Alexander stated. "If that Barbie-esque actress were to marry the very Doctor Oppenheimer, I would probably go. Since that's not the case, I won't."
"Besides, what's up with this out-of-nowhere invite anyways?" He literally had no intersection with any Sheperd that he could remember. Perhaps his grandfather?
Miss Consigliere had a different conjecture, however. "Apparently and from what I could surmise, this may have to do with her Moonlighting co-star, Mr. Bruce Willis. Improving relations to you with regards to that film project and since the venue is very close by to your base of operations."
"That makes sense." He assented to that.
With TV actor Willis now trying to also moonlight on the bigger screens, he's got to do what he's got to do.
"Too bad, even if it is that close by, I would rather take a trip to Canada than go to some contentious party." Alexander stated and stated again. "Which actually brings me to wonder whether that expansion and opening in that faraway place is still happening or not."
"It still is..." Miss Consigliere confirmed yet she looked constrained. "It's just that if you want to go as you just said you would, it's going to be very difficult for me to get a plane and get you there on time... so..."
Alexander only blinked at that and appeased. "That was just me making conversation and making a jest though."
The secretary's exotic and beautiful brow mildly twitched at that.
"It's best to not interfere and leave the coffee man to work on his own devices with that twin-tailed mermaid for now." He reaffirmed since that partnered duo is still fairly progressing as they should. "For now, let's also just move on to whatever else should I be concerned about."
This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
To that, she obliged. "Well, aside from the usual responsibilities that you go through at the headquarters, there's actually a lot that you have to catch up to in school. Some of them couldn't be pushed back anymore and it's imperative that you make do with the lot of them."
She herself found this to be of utmost concern. Making excuses and being harangued by teachers was never any good of an experience.
Even Alexander sighed at this predicament. It's really not that he was too cool for school, it's more on the fact that he's set aside too much that it became a tad daunting at this point.
Nonetheless, he's also got to do what he's got to do.
To set it aside and have his secretary continue to telltale of what the rest of his schedule entails.
-------
On the other hand, she already did what she could, and since he asked to continue on, she continued on.
She'll have to worry about his schooling for later as she professionally reported. "On a separate update, this is the month where it's supposedly an anniversary for Creed Home Video, and belated as it may be from its 360 million dollar close-off from the theaters, Top Gun would finally be available to the shelves of video stores."
"Consequently, Studio Ghibli's Laputa would be following suit as well, in spite of only hovering over 3 million in ticket sales here in America." Something which honestly concerned Miss Consigliere as she voiced. "I'm sure that that 'Castle in the Sky' is integral in some other plan you have, little boss. But with how it is, is it really worth it to move up that castle game from the October release that it was originally intended for?"
"The castles in their titles aren't exactly what's driving me to go for what I'm going for." He corrected. "It's actually on account of what could fit in that 13th slot, so it should be fine."
Admittedly, this was just him being him, plagued with some sort of theming again.
Since making that Golgo 13 game was out of the question, same with that Romanic numeral of an XIII video game.
One is a long-running manga staple in Japan while he wasn't too sure of the state of the other. It's graphic and novel-ly far in Belgium, from what he knew.
So, why not just go with what's not so 13 but sort of fits?
"And I found it best to get it out there earlier to prevent any further complications that could pop up." After all, he may have swiped it but who's to say otherwise that it won't be swiped back?
To make sure, Alexander figuratively prodded. "Assuming that the distribution is already going on and those GameKeys will arrive to where they should?"
"It's happening as we speak." Which was a good update from her part. And to expand on it, she added. "Distributing alongside the others ones that you've given the go-ahead to be in stall and in store."
Taking this chance, she snuck in her own prodding as well. "This reminds me that this is what would take up the majority of your time for next week. Given that it's two major projects coming to an end."
"I guess that it's finally happening, huh." Alexander inadvertently commented as it really is quite the milestone in the making.
And given that it's within arm's reach, he really tasked his assistant to re-drill all that he's planned for when the time comes.
Like what of the concerns he's raised about the mass adoption of box turtles? And the concerns that parents may have raised with regard to the innuendo of Dragonballs for that matter.
How about the proximity of this game's release to that game's release?
What are the specifics of that greenlit advertisement that Mr. Advertiser requested for?
What came about of that specialized gaming cabinet that he ordered? Would they be ready and available on time?
It's perhaps the most important events and send-offs that he'll be focusing on for the next couple of days...
And he's really prepping to be prepared for what he's preparing for.
-------
Of course, those aren't the only schedules and updates that Miss Consigliere had given him a refresher course about.
There's also the re-scheduling and updating of other matters of comeuppance that was coming soon.
Like the Academy Awards that was coming up soon enough.
Which he obviously can't be bothered to go to.
Those nominations for Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Effects, and Best Original Song could be won or handed to others for all he cares.
Then there's that proposed exchange from the meeked Hasbro, who has eventually proposed a course of untanglement for the overdue entanglement that they've had.
Something that Alexander decidedly delegated for someone at Marvel to work out on.
Still, with that 'transform-y' trademark being a point of contention, he was quite keen to keep an eye on the proceedings.
And as a segway from Marvel, Miss Consigliere didn't forget to inform him that Marvel Productions has finally reacquainted themselves with the necessity of wearing caps.
Better phrased to the necessity of utilizing CAPS, actually.
This meant that he was inevitably about to visit that new yet old animation studio.
To also get a much more in-depth update of the overly yellow cartoon that he's assigned them on.
-------
Overall, after and compared to this February, there's really a lot more to take note of...
Perhaps that's why Alexander is decidedly looking forward... to March and onward.
Not that he'll ever awkwardly yell... onward March!
