Token problems

All in all Watson was in for an especially nasty surprise in the upcoming challenge as my team was now WAY stronger than I had expected them to be by the time it rolled around. Then again we fought with our full power in order to survive so perhaps it was only fair that the rewards be plentiful. Speaking of rewards I finally remembered the quest I got for finding this cave and got to see the rewards I was going to get. Rewards: 2x exp tickets , 2x item tickets , 3x exp tickets , evolution token.-

Pretty much five exp tickets , a couple of items and an unknown thing from completing the final optional(A/N: Was it really?) objective to survive against the Heatran. I wasn't sure if the reward was supposed to be whatever the hell an evolution token was or if the reward had been upgraded since we killed the thing. I asked the system what an evolution token was and the answer I got left me speechless at how stupid valuable it was. The system even went so far as to directly state that it was a special item and that I should not expect to get another one anytime soon due to them being extraordinary rewards for exceeding the systems expectations.-

Anyways the evolution token allowed me to evolve a single thing of my choice with it. I used the word "thing" for a reason here as it didn't just apply to pokemon but items , skills , abilities , moves , innate abilities variations and concepts , ANY single thing. Now you have to understand that this meant that I could effectively upgrade something crazy like say my lifespan to let me live for a long ass time or even features on my pokemon to create what could only be considered entirely new variations.-

The sheer value of something like this should make it abundantly clear how highly the system thought of us killing the Heatran. Honestly speaking I couldn't blame it either as only a hare brained plan like that one had even the tiniest chance of success and more likely than not I would have been forced to run away with my tail between my legs to survive. That Heatran was decimating us with almost no real effort on it's part after all , we were totally outmatched to put it simply.-

This however led to a very big problem however in that I had TOO MANY choices for what I could use the token on. Good ones too , I could evolve my bodies ability to heal , evolve my aura skill to the adept stage of mastery , hell I could evolve my actual aura to a higher tier so I had more and better energy to use at a time. There was a lot of choices and I honestly couldn't decide what I wanted to use the token on. I of course told my team about the effects of the token and they all unanimously agreed that I should use it to try and fix my eye but I had to chastise them for being wasteful.-

My lost eye was at most an inconvenience since I relied on my aura to perceive my surrounds in addition to my normal senses so I was by no means crippled by losing an eye. As a result using the token just to fix the damage done was flat out wasteful compared to the potential uses the token had. Once I shot down that option my whole team got stuck with the same problem I had as they couldn't choose any one thing that would be the best to use the token on.-

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Helplessly I decided to leave it up to fate and moved on to tear the two item tickets in half so I can see what I got from them. Moomoo milk and a full restore ended up being my prizes which I was perfectly okay with since the milk will be good for the baby Feebas while I used the full restore on Rune to fix the rest of the damage he had at surface level and a good bit of the internal stuff as well.-

At the very least he was now able to defend himself when we started to head back to Mauville. That didn't mean that everyone was now good to go however as I was still very much fucked up at the moment. Broken ribs , throbbing burn scars and nearly half my muscles being shredded from that spear throw I did. I could walk and use my left arm a bit but I was otherwise helpless at the moment. Balling Gaia and Yani I flopped onto Vulcans back "Lets get out of here." I said tiredly and it began to jog through the cave.-

Rune followed along while making sure nothing attacked us and soon enough I felt the much cooler air of the outside which itched something fierce on my burns. "Head to Mauville , I still need treatment for my injuries." I commanded before letting my exhaustion win out finally and slipping back into unconsciousness. I was heavily injured and while my body was still working to fix itself while I was awake it was wasting energy that way so it had been trying to get me to go to sleep for awhile now. In hindsight I probably should have told Vulcan or Rune to wake me up when we got near the city but I hadn't.-

Instead they both apparently chose to interpret my orders as "Go straight to the pokecenter to get help." As you may have guessed they caused a huge commotion as they walked straight into the city and made their way to the pokecenter while threatening anyone who tried to stop them. Thankfully the league was willing to drop the matter of the broken laws given the state the Joys retrieved me from Vulcan in. It was waved off as "extraordinary circumstances" and totally forgiven.-

That didn't mean when I woke up I didn't get absolutely grilled by a Jenny trying to figure out what the hell happened. Even Watson was involved in the case as I was both on the list and almost an ace trainer yet came in on the back of my pokemon half dead. Shit like that tends to cause people to get concerned to say the least. I was mostly honest with them too as I said I found the cave by luck and ran afoul of an elite level Heatran which we killed at the cost of a bunch of injuries.-

The story was outlandish and crazy but my injuries and the clearly recently obtained scars of my team told them that I wasn't lying. I even took out the parts I harvested from the corpse as proof which was evidence beyond refute. I also got told that my eye was totally beyond saving since the nerves had been seared to such a degree that normal healing was totally impossible. I had expected that answer though so it didn't bother me any. Watson was even nice enough to get a piece of the Heatrans skull shaped into an eyepatch for me.
