Clones and chat

There was a slight catch however with cloning pokemon in that it only worked on organic pokemon which meant that I couldn't clone the Heatran or most steel , rock or ground type pokemon as their bodies were comprised of inorganic materials. A good deal of ghost type pokemon were also impossible to clone as well for this reason. In addition to the price that cloning and resurrecting pokemon costs it wasn't as widely used as one might think such technology would be. Human cloning was highly banned though as that had a whole bunch of problems normally.-

It had happened of course but the tech wasn't designed for that and as a result the clones rarely survived for long. For me personally though cloning was a perfect way to add some choice pokemon to my team even if the originals didn't want to join me. For example I could get another legendary dog or even bird so long as I could get a feather or hair from one of them. That was where the "within reason" clause popped up though as I wasn't allowed to go after say a godly pokemon like Rayquaza to try and get a clone of the thing for myself.-

Apparently someone had tried that at some point with a feather from the original Ho-Ho and the legendary showed up and turned the entire lab and several miles of land around it into glass even though they failed to create a true clone of it. Moral of the story was not to fuck with the true godly pokemon in any manner and you should usually be fine. I also knew about Mew two that was either being created at this exact moment or had already been created and broke out of Giovanni's lab but was being covered up by the man.-

The sheer size of his balls had to be incredible to choose THAT godly pokemon out of all of them to clone. The original Mew was many things but merciful to those that wrong her was not one of them if the many horror stories about her revenge were to go by. I'm not talking normal "you die" sort of punishments either but shit that even made me shiver at the thought of like when she turned a guy into a tree who was constantly growing slowly over the next two centuries with the entire process being extremely agonizing.-

It was only after a bunch of people begged for mercy that Mew allowed that person to die. Yeah Mew was fucking hardcore and made it clear you don't mess with her. Needless to say I was totally not going to fuck around with the godly legendries and find out as a result. The lesser legendries though were fair game if I found any I wanted. If you were wondering why gym leaders or elite four members didn't do that as well then the answer was simply that it wasn't so easy to get a viable piece of DNA from a legendary as they don't tend to leave them just laying about.-

It did happen of course but the chances of a person finding and/or understanding what it was were abysmal. I was different than everyone else on the planet though as I had the system and would undoubtedly end up under the spotlight of the godly legendries at some point in the future. Encountering the others should be par for the course at that point in time in my opinion. Anyways I got three free clones or resurrections from the deal with Mr. Stone that I would definitely be using in the future.-

In addition to that I also got about fifty million poke as well so I was looking damn good financially. With that all but taken care of I spent the next couple days relaxing in Mauville as I waited for Watson to get back to me and as I finished healing up. I missed the reward for my exercise quest but I suppose that was to be expected. Still thanks to me near constantly draining my energy reserve to accelerate my own healing I finally returned to peak health.-

I had some seriously nasty looking scars though that earned me even more looks than normal. I ignored those and simply lazed about in the beach area east of Mauville with my team. Nothing living that close to the city was stupid enough to voice a complaint about us being there and the other trainers gave me a wide berth. "You know I had sort of expected you to be training when I heard you were here , not just relaxing in the sun." I heard a female voice say as footsteps approached me.-

"Nothing wrong with taking it easy for a few days I'll have you know!" I shot back playfully as I opened my eyes to see May looking down at me. She rolled her eyes "Whatever you say Alex , still hard to imagine you are almost an elite trainer already." she said as she set a towel down nearby and sat down. "I trained like a madman , which I probably am in hindsight , and I even almost died so I think it would be weird if i wasn't pretty damn strong right?" I said and she sighed. "You make it sound like the rest of us are slacking off but you're probably right." she said with a shrug.-

"You are a trainer to help your dad with his research so while you probably train your team well enough training isn't the be all end all for you but for me it's both the journey and the goal. I want to leave a legend behind that no one will ever be able to top and you don't fulfill an ambition like that without paying in a sea of flesh , blood , sweat and tears. In my case that is quite literal." I said pointing at my eye patch.-

She had this look of pity that made me scoff "I am doing fine without my eye so you can save that pity of yours for someone that needs it." I scolded her and she looked away embarrassed. "Does it hurt at all?" she ended up asking tentatively a few moments later. I shrugged "Not really painful no , A bit off putting in the morning when I open my eyes only to be reminded that one of them is missing but otherwise I barely even notice the change in perception anymore." I said honestly.-

"That sounds horrible so how are you so calm about it?" she asked with a concerned look. "It sucks a bit but the way I see it , pun very much intended , dwelling on it doesn't exactly do me any good so why should I? Losing a single eye is barely more than an inconvenience to deal with compared to say losing one of my limbs. Can you imagine trying to make potions with a single hand because I can and it sounds like a pain in the ass." I joked.
