"How do you know all of this?" Steven asked seriously. "I know because unlike most people I actually spent the effort needed to understand the legends and myths of the region I am currently in. There was even a forum about the subject on the pokenet." I said and the two men looked embarrassed at not figuring this out themselves. "Mythology and legends aren't usually a part of training or researching." Birch said trying to defend them. I wasn't having any of it though as I firmly believed that with pokemon so powerful they can be considered gods actually existing the least everyone could do would be to understand as much about them as possible.-
Honestly it would take all of maybe an hour to go over the myths and legends so that if in the very slim chance one were to encounter said legendary pokemon they didn't get themselves killed while pissing it off. *cough Maxie cough*. "You say that but there is a giant prehistoric pokemon leaving a trail of destruction behind it that none of you knew how to stop that says otherwise." I chastised and Birch sighed in defeat while Steven also looked shamed.-
"Now that I have made my point clear and am certain you will actually try and understand the things in charge of our world we should probably get going." I said a I pulled the I.V out of my arm and grunted as I stepped off the bed. "Alex you are in no condition to walk much less handle this situation!" Birch said in a panic as he tried to stop me. I looked him dead in the eyes "We don't have time for this and you know it." I said sternly and he stared me down for a good minute before sighing and moving aside.-
"For the record I don't like this." he said and I nodded "I don't expect you to but I am clearly the only one who has any idea where to go or at the very least is acting on that knowledge." I said and Began to strip off the hospital gown and put on my shorts that were nearby. I winced at the pain that came from moving but pressed on with gritted teeth. It was clear that the shockwave had caused internal damage all over my body that my healing ability was barely alleviating as I burned through my energy pool.-
Once I got my stuff back in place I looked at Birch again "Where are my pokeballs and team?" I asked. "The balls should be in your bag and your team was outside last I checked." he said honestly. I checked my bag and sure enough the balls were all there and Tank was still within his. I attached the balls the my belt like they should be and headed out of the room. "Either of you have a way to get to Pacifidlog and then from there across the sea some distance?" I asked on the way and both Steven and Birch looked confused.-
"Why would we need that?" Steven asked curiously. "Well from what I understand the place that Rayquaza tends to hang out is located slightly north east of that town on a small island. A place called Sky pillar." I said honestly. "You mean the mirage island?" Birch asked confused and I shook my head. "Nah Sky pillar is another island that is just out of sight of the town from what I know." I said and they both looked surprised to hear this.-
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"Why haven't we heard of it then?" Birch asked confused. "Can't say for certain but it's possible that there are people who have gone to some lengths to make sure the island never got recorded past the legends and myths so that nobody went poking Rayquaza for no good reason. A good idea to be sure considering the current situation with Groudon and likely Kyogre as well soon enough." I said casually. Neither of the men looked comfortable with the idea of a hidden faction keeping such secrets but they also couldn't argue that it had worked out until now.-
With the vast majority of people unaware of the locations of the legendries only a few might stumble across them and if they don't go blabbing about it to everyone that number was perfectly acceptable. After all most people don't go around with the mindset of doing something as ill advised as pissing off a legendary. Hell even in the cases of Aqua and Magma they actually had a goal in mind , a stupid one but a goal none the less. That actually reminded me about team Galactic that wanted to remake the whole cosmos and was destined to epically fail.-
Like seriously did they expect that Arceus would just let them even if they didn't get stopped by the games protag? If anything I suspected that Cyrus would get all the way to chaining Dialga and Palkia and MAYBE Giratina before the creator pokemon would decide to make an appearance and null and void that shit immediately. The best part is that I can even see Cyrus trying the chain Arceus as well only for the creator to shrug it off since it would be rather stupid if the thing was actually affected by it's own creation.-
Shaking my head to clear away these distracting thoughts we finally reached the exit to the pokecenter we were in. Stepping out I was immediately hit with hot and humid air and I guessed immediately that I was in Lavaridge. Looking around I spotted my team chilling in the shade of Gaia who was sitting next to the pokecenter chewing on a huge chunk of iron. 'Flannery must have given it to her.' i thought as I whistled and my team looked over at me. The ground shook a bit as they all got up and bound over to me. -
They all started to fuss over my health but I raised a hand to silence them "I'll be fine but we have a job to do. Groudon is causing a lot of suffering so we are going to put a stop to it." I said firmly and I got collective agreement. Recalling all of them I turned to the two men following me "So how are we doing this?" I asked and Birch immediately looked at Steven. "I have a Scarmory that we can ride for a fast method of travel to Pacifidlog and this sky pillar you mentioned." he said as he released the mon in question.-
I quirked an eyebrow when I saw it as the Scarmory was larger than normal but not a variant and it's level was at one sixty three which put it firmly at champion tier if my understanding was correct. "Sil here will be get us where we need to go but fair warning she is a bit temperamental so the ride might be a bit rough." Steven warned and I made eye contact with the pokemon and flared my aura. Immediately the steel type stood a little straighter as if to present a better image which surprised Steven but made me smirk. "I think it'll be the smoothest ride you've ever had." I said with a chuckle.
