Gaia wasn't out of her ball at the moment since even if the rest of my team shouldn't have been in town because of their size , she literally couldn't be without destroying her surroundings for the same reason. That didn't mean that Rex couldn't smell her coming from miles away and get ready to put the moves on her. Truthfully speaking I wouldn't allow just any old Garchomp try and mate with Gaia since her genetics were very valuable and her mating with an unworthy partner would only lessen the talent of the child.-
Rex though was nearly champion tier in power and skill at level one hundred and forty three and a royal variant to boot. As a result he was a perfectly suitable partner for Gaia if she had any interest in it. The woman lead me to Rex's habitat which unsurprisingly was a rocky area with a large cave that he likely made his nest in. When I let Gaia out of her ball Rex looked love struck as he gazed at her which made me chuckle. Gaia had witnessed the whole event from her ball and as a result gave the him a once over before turning her nose up at him and ignoring him.-
I wasn't surprised at all as this was standard practice with both the Garchomp and Tyranitar lines in that the females played hard to get since they were always in demand but chose their own availability. Still this spoke well for Rex's chances since it meant she was at least somewhat open to the idea. If she outright rejected him Gaia would have been much more direct in that she would probably have threatened him to back off. -
This worlds forums were so much more useful than the ones on earth tended to be as they had the personal knowledge of thousands of trainers in nearly every subject imaginable. It was how I knew about all this stuff beyond what was covered in the games. I regularly browsed the forums to learn as much about pokemon as I could , in a manner of speaking I could be considered half a pokemon professor with the sheer breadth of knowledge I had at this point. I didn't doubt for a moment that actual professors had far more than I did but that didn't mean I was going to downplay my own knowledge.-
While Gaia was getting the moves put on her the rest of us ended up in the Eevees environment that was just a small grove of trees with and nest under the roots of one of them. The little furballs were so excited to show us where they lived that not even Hades seemed to have the heart to point out it was actually very plain. Not to say the vicious bastard wasn't making problems of it's own. I had to stop the thing from making an enemy of every pokemon we passed by putting it in it's ball.-
Unlike wild pokemon the pokemon at this rehabilitation reserve were nervous and defensively threatened us as we passed by which Hades took personally. After the first time Hades moved to violence after being threatened I recalled it into it's ball and put it in stasis to keep it from forcefully leaving the ball. "I had always assumed the hostility of the species was merely a stereotype." the woman said concerned after seeing Hades act like that. "Afraid not , all that resentment and hatred from the ones who died doesn't just get washed away by the species getting born."-
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
"When not triggered Hades is not much different than any other pokemon in that it has it's own admittedly quirky personality. But when it is exposed to hostility even that made defensively it can turn cruel and murderous in an instant. I imagine that as time goes on the species gets better at controlling those impulses but Hades was created very recently and hasn't gotten there yet." I explained honestly. "It's rather tragic to know that some pokemon are born with trauma of their own." she said sadly and I couldn't agree more.-
It was hard not to pity the species after seeing interacting so closely with Hades for the past few weeks. It was perhaps not the most peaceful or cheerful creature around but it wasn't only doom and gloom either. Hades could be gentle as with the little one or the Eevees and mischievous when it played pranks on us. In the same vein Hades could also be fiercely protectively if something threatened one of us. I imagine that most Spiritomb were similar in that they were more than their natures. At the same time however I was acutely aware at all times that Hades was a very dangerous creature for others.-
While it was clear my team and I had nothing to fear from it the same was not true for others. Hades had so far never NOT shown hostility towards anyone not part of my not so merry band of misfit children. I was working on that but it was counter to it's nature and as such a very slow process. I would also like to point out that I am very much aware at how cracked my team and I were compared to the norm of this world.-
Literally each of us was cream of cream of the crop , like the one percent of the one percent of top talents. Gaia had two variants and a spark of Groudon divinity , Vulcan was a legendary , Hades was a variant legendary literally born at elite level power , Tank was a defensive bug type , Rune was a triple variant regional starter , Yani was a shiny variant with an extreme level of talent , the little one was was an anomaly of it's own class and I had no less than five abilities and was likely to get many more in time from the system.-
You could literally go through a list of every champion level trainer ever and not find more than four with a more impressive resume. The fact that there were four was just proof that I still had quite some distance to cover before I could even begin to try and claim the peak for my own. So in a funny way my group fit Hades perfectly. Anyway I ended up camping with the Eevees that cuddle huddled us to sleep after dinner. It was nice to be honest , a bit like taking a breather halfway through a stressful day at work.-
We stayed for about a four days before leaving for Fortree that was the next gym on the list. Rex had successfully mated with Gaia during that period and had an egg that I sent to Birch after checking it. According to the system it was a Queen royal variant larvitar but I had no need for such a thing on my team. Gaia was also totally fine giving the egg to birch since Tyranitar usually aren't very attached to their children to begin with. To clarify it took a very short amount of time for pokemon to produce an egg but the real gestation came after the egg was laid taking between four and twelve months to hatch depending on the species.
