Changes

I barely had time to stuff a stick between my teeth before the pain rocked my mind. It was worse than anything I had ever felt before. My body was quite literally breaking apart at a cellular level and it was horrible. I can not begin to describe to you what having each and every cell in your body including your nerves burst before reforming over and over again. All I remember is pain and blackness before it ended much later. A pitiful description I know but that was all I knew at this time.-

According to my pokemon though it went sorta the same as my previous improved body v1 with my skin completely falling off and being replaced only multiple times instead of just once. Then it was my bones that lost shape before filling back out and losing shape again. Next was my organs that I directly lost thirty percent of as my body rejected them. My musculature was after that as it writhed and morphed like worms under my skin. I lost all of my blood after that alongside my teeth as a new set grew out. I have no idea what happened after that as neither of my pokemon could see every cell of my body.-

I woke up nearly five hours later to a dreadful stench and ravenous hunger. "Ugh , why can it never be gentle?" I said with a groan as I sloughed off the thin layer of dried blood and skin wrapped around me. "HHHMMMMMMM!!" Gaia rumbled loudly as she crashed into me in happiness. I expected pain from such a thing but there was none at all , just pressure. It was odd to me so I ignored my giant rock monster for the moment and pulled up my status screen.-

To my surprise I found that I had exceeded the limit that training allowed humans to reach with decent genetics which was fifteen in the two stats related to my body. It was not by a small amount either as one of them was five points over while the other was three. I was quite firmly superhuman at the moment though only slightly. 'That explains why it didn't hurt to get smothered by Gaia at the least.' I thought while pushing the overjoyed boulder off of me.-

"Remove the rock blocking the entrance so we can clean this mess up." I said while standing up and stripping off my ruined shorts. Gaia did as I asked and I sighed in relief after seeing it was still raining. I hid what needed to be hidden behind my bag as I walked out into the rain naked and quickly vanished into the nearby forest to clean myself in the rain.-

Before I left I told Vulcan to scorch the whole cave clean so we didn't need to deal with that awful smell for very long. It was more than willing to do so and a bright glow lit up the area as it directly flamethrowered the inside of the cave wiping out every trace of the "left overs" from my transformation. I ended up using no less than half my soap and shampoo to get the foul dried stuff off of me entirely.-

Then I put on one of my spare pairs of shorts and returned to the cave that was burnt clean. I had to wait out in the rain for a few minutes as Gaia fixed the cave that had cracked in several places from the conflicting hot and cold it was exposed to from the flame thrower and rain. Once that was done I climbed up on Vulcan and promptly passed out from exhaustion. I must have slept for quite some time as when I finally woke up the next day the sun was higher than normal but not quite overhead.-

My absence must have concerned Birch and May as they were discussing whether to personally come take a look in the cave or not. My senses were a couple times sharper than before so i picked up on the conversation as I slid off of Vulcan that was long since awake but didn't want to disturb my rest. Now that I wasn't in a rush to clean up and had good light to see I noticed a few changes in my body. First was that I had gained another inch which put me at six five at the moment.-

The second was that my body was hard from the densely packed muscles under my thick bronze skin. Speaking of muscles the shape of my muscles had changed to be perfect in all regards. My back , legs , arms and stomach muscles were all strange looking to give me the best possible outcome with my current strength. My teeth were nearly the same if much harder and with my canines being sharper and longer. 'Hopefully they won't notice to much of a change.' I thought as I walked out of the cave and waved at them.-

They both looked relieved when they saw me approaching "It's good to see that you are alright Alex! Everyone heard the most dreadful sounds last night coming from the nearby forest as something was clearly killed and was worried when you hadn't shown up as early as before." Birch said relaxing. "I heard it too and it kept me awake longer than normal so I ended up sleeping in , sorry about that." I said with a smile. They just waved it off "Not like we could blame you , it was the most terrible scream I've ever heard. Was that common at the mountain?" May asked worriedly.-

I shook my head "When something is hunted out in the wilderness at least from my experience it's fairly quiet usually. In this case it was probably just being unusually cruel to the thing receiving it , it happens sometimes." I said referencing my own suffering without them noticing. They nodded in understanding "Well it's a bit later than normal but are you up to give Sly some training?" Birch asked with a smile. "Yep , feel free to release him so we can start." I said with a nod.
