"Must be a pretty rare rock if you are so confident." May said with a look of interest. "You know that fossil your dad has sitting in his lab?" I asked and she had a look of understanding. "That might work but what if Mr. Stone doesn't believe you?" May asked worriedly. "I have a different fossil I plan to sell to him actually but good Idea to see if he wants to buy the Magikarp one too." I said with a genuine smile. It had honestly not dawned on me that I could offer the Magikarp fossil as well to finally get some good out of it.-
"What do you mean you have another fossil!? Aren't those like super rare or something!?" she exclaimed in disbelief. "Fossils are actually pretty common , interesting fossils like those two however are pretty rare. I actually intended to resurrect the one I have for my team in the future but I ended up filling that typing with a better pokemon so I don't need the fossil anymore." I explained with a shrug. "What pokemon is the fossil from?" May asked curiously. "It's a variant Anorith fossil I found on Mt. grey before we met." I said honestly.-
"Oh dads going to be steamed when he hears you kept something like that from him." May teased with a giggle. "It never came up in conversation." I said with a shrug. "In any case I'm a bit jealous that you have pokemon good enough to not need a fossil pokemon. I haven't found any pokemon that looked like a good fit for my team yet so it's just Iggy and me at the moment." She said with a helpless look. "I'm sure you'll find something eventually , Are you aiming to be a generalist or a specialist?" I asked to see if I could give any advice.-
"I am going to be a generalist since I don't think I could really give it my all if I only trained one type of pokemon after all." she said honestly. "Hmmm , in that case you will need to figure out what roles your pokemon will have on your team and then plan around types after that. In my teams case I have a status staller in the form of Tank. Gaia is damage sponge with some dealing ability as well. Vulcan is pure offense and Rune is also looking like a attacker as well but it's too soon to tell for certain."-
"After that I am only looking to patch up my teams rather large weakness to water and grass type moves and I should be pretty much set. In your case I'd say the next pokemon your should look into is a fire or water type , maybe a ghost type if you think you can handle it." I explained helpfully. She looked thoughtful at that and I used this lapse in conversation to ball my pokemon other than Tank.-
"Well if there is nothing else I have an appointment with the president of Devon to get to." I said before I started to leave the training area. "Wait!" May called out and I looked over my shoulder at her with a raised eyebrow. "When is your gym challenge?" she asked curiously. "In two days at noon." I said before asking for her own. "Three days from now at four pm." she answered. "A pity then I'll be leaving after my challenge since I will probably need some time to get to Dewford." I said honestly and she had an understanding look even though she deflated a bit.-

"I'll watch the recording and give you a call to let you know what I think , goodbye for now though." I said as I walked away with a wave. Finding the Devon headquarters wasn't hard at all considering it was the tallest building in the city and was interestingly enough set at the far side of the city as well just like in the game. It was a strangely stone like tower with a shiny brown rocky looking metal outside and Red clay colored rugs on the inside. The walls were also designed to mimic stone as well giving the building a very earthy feel.-
I got a few looks by the people coming and going from the building but I ignored them to approach the woman manning the front desk. "Welcome to the Devon pokemon company what can I help you with today?" the woman asked professionally without even a hint of obvious interest. I was actually pretty impressed with that since I looked like a very tall male model walking around in nothing but shorts and a bag slung over my back with my spear. It didn't matter weather or not a woman was actually interested in me for most to blush at my appearance.-
I reached into the pocket of my shorts and take out the folded paper from the center I put there earlier. "I am here about this job." I said calmly while handing the paper over. The woman unfolds it and reads it over before picking up a pokenav on the desk in front of her and calling a number on it. "Yes sir , the job you posted in the pokecenter , the same sir , I understand sir." I only caught her side of the conversation but I could roughly guess how it went from her speech.-
The woman then hung up the call and reached into a drawer in front of her and pulled out a i.d badge labeled {presidential visitor} and held it out for me to take. "The president has agreed to see you since he is free at the moment , this badge will let the security know to allow you into his office once you finish taking the elevator over there to the top floor." she explained as I took the badge and attached it to my belt. "Thank you for the assistance." I said before heading over to the elevator and pressing the call button.-
The elevator took only a brief moment to arrive and I was not surprised at all to see that the layout was pretty much identical to the ones I used on earth. Looking over the labeled buttons i pressed the one labeled {P.O} and felt the metal box start moving upwards. Five minutes later the doors opened and two burly looking men at either side of the door looked me over before nodding to say I could enter the office. "My aren't you a strong looking fellow!" I heard as I entered the room from the elevator and saw the source of the voice.-
It was an older gentle man with short but wild silver hair sitting behind an unnecessarily large desk in a fancy three piece suit. The office itself clearly reflected it's owners tastes as there were many display cases with stones in them while the walls and ground both had earthen tones to them. "Come come , I'm told you might have a rare stone to show me and I simply must know if it's true." Mr. Stone said with a warm smile while waving me over to his desk.
