It was frankly annoying that my most used aspect of aura was effectively unavailable until my body could get used to having this denser energy reinforcing it. That was bound to take me at least two weeks if not longer to barely accomplish so I could only sigh and go about my business while I waited. For now I needed to head over to the next major settlement in the region and scout out the area as well as get a contact there. In this case I was referring to the criminal infested town of Pyrite.-
I ended up taking Vulcan and Tank along with Hades and Rune when I left the next morning after resting. 'Gaia's storm has grown since yesterday.' I noticed idly from Runes back as we flew above the storm towards Pyrite. I was fairly certain that the longer Gaia stayed in the desert the more power over it she would have since that was her legendary domain after all. It was easy enough to see how too with aura as her energy was slowly seeping into every grain of sand as time went on which I theorized might turn the storm semi-permanent if enough time passed.-
If we were anywhere where this could throw off the ecological balance I'd stop her from doing it but this region didn't have any ecology to speak of. In addition my Hub was really far from any of the towns so the storm didn't effect them at all. Even if the storm ended up becoming a permanent fixture it would change nothing at all as far as the locals were concerned as nobody came out here really. Beyond the sandstorm I marveled at how far you could see in this region once more as the flat sands stretched out in all directions with tiny distorted shapes barely being visible from so far up in the distance.-
These shapes were of course the towns of Pyrite and Phenac but many miles away from where I was and only visible due to how flat the region was. Unnaturally flat even, something that gave me pause as I only now realized it. Deserts WEREN'T flat normally, far from it in fact. In a vast desert like this one the landscape should resemble the sea on a stormy day with many high hills of sands created by the wind carrying them there over time.-
Yet despite this fact this region was almost entirely flat without any sand dunes at all as though a giant had taken a level to the entire area. It was a wrongness on such a scale that you would never notice it without being both highly aware of what a normal desert looked like as well as having a birds eye view of a wide area of the desert. Even I had failed to realize the issue until now as I was so focused on my quest and exploration of the regions settlements that it slipped my mind to actually look at the landscape.-
It was only because I had paid attention to Gaia's storm that I had realized the issue. 'What could cause this though? The sand as far as I can tell the sand is nothing special and there is plenty of wind in the desert so why haven't dunes formed over the years? Also if the sand isn't getting pushed around so much for whatever reason why isn't the ground made of mostly stone?' I pondered with a frown. It was concerning just how many details weren't adding up now that I had noticed this big issue with the landscape.-

The entire trip to Pyrite town on Runes back I spent trying to understand this mystery. It was pretty damn obvious that a godly legendary was involved but I had to figure out which one and why they would do something like this. My own experiences had proven that these pokemon were not simply powerful beasts but genuinely intelligent beings with the wisdom of a great many years of life. Perhaps it was possible that at some point when the world and by extension the legendries were young and their minds hadn't been tempered by time that they would do something like this.-
But the question then becomes why hadn't they fixed it then? Details about this situation weren't adding up and I didn't like it. "Dwelling on the nature of things rarely plays out well in the end young man." An old female voice said dragging me out of my thoughts after we landed at the edge of the town. Looking over at the source of the voice I found a small elderly woman with round lensed glasses and pink hair tied up in a large side buns.-
"Did you say something?" I asked confused. She just smiled and motioned for me to follow her as she walked into a small building that had a large sign above the door that read [Madam Fateen's Fortunes]. I recalled Rune and Tank and followed after the woman curious about what she had to say. I didn't doubt that she was psychic at all since I could see the ability in her aura but even amongst psychics precognition or divination was a very rare gift. It was also a rather controversial one as it brought up the question of whether free will existed or not if one truly saw the future.-
The fact of the matter was that precog was rarely clear so testing any theory on it's functionality was next to impossible. People had certainly tried but the results were inconclusive as the timeframe of a future vision could span moments or even centuries ahead. The inside of the building was both extravagant and simple at the same time oddly enough. See there was incense burning and many curtains of red and gold color as well as a expensive looking rug and wooden table with a crystal ball on it.-
The woman took a seat on the plush chair behind the table and motioned to the opposite chair which I sat in calmly. "I have been expecting you for quite some time now young man and I know why you are here." she said with a smile. "I must admit that meeting a genuine psychic in this region was unexpected but not unpleasant. You wouldn't happen to be able to just save me some time and tell me whats up with the region would you?" I asked with a friendly smile. "I'm afraid my gifts are rather limited to recent times and thus I cannot help you find your answers."-
"I do however know of a being that may, if luck favors you, be able to point you in the right direction. It guards over the forest to the north and may be found at an old shrine to it. My sight ends there." she said calmly. "A shrine? Perhaps someone in Agate village may know what you are referencing. If there is anything you want for this information please don't hold back, it's the least I can do with how valuable it is for me." I said seriously but she shook her head. "Your actions to come are enough to satisfy me, though I wouldn't say no to a delicious meal oho." she said with a small laugh at the end.
