Balance and plans

I set these heavy thoughts aside and worked to capitalize on the benefit that this plate offered Tank. As a bug type he naturally had a very short lifespan but in exchange was able to grow much faster than any other typing. It was the exact opposite of a type such as ghost that effectively lived forever unless they were killed off and thus grew rather slowly. Thanks to being able to utilize aura Tank had the unique benefit of being able to extremely accurately understand the boosted state the plate gave him.-

Due to this over the next three days that we focused on this his level sharply jumped to one twenty four from the one seventeen it was since we got to Sinnoh. That might only be seven levels but at the elite level this was a massive amount of progress to make in such a short period of time. My theory was also confirmed as once Tank replicated the level of power his bug type energy had using the plate without it the plate being added stacked an extra twenty percent on top.-

After four cycles of adjusting and replicating this Tanks bug type moves were scarily potent for his level. Not quite what a flat one fifty champion pokemon might be able to produce but close enough that being able to tell the difference would be difficult. There was a downside to this however in the form of energy imbalance. While the bug typing was the most prominent in the Butterfree species they were also flying type as well. Since i didn't have the sky plate however Tanks typings were now heavily skewed towards the bug typing and it was suspicious since his flying type moves while strong for his level weren't on the same level as his bug ones.-

While I could explain it away as me focusing on only his bug type at the moment that excuse will quickly fizzle away under intense enough scrutiny. Higher up trainers weren't stupid and any who had trained a dual type pokemon up to that level will very quickly find that theres something very wrong with how lopsided Tank was. With that in mind I had little choice but to have him stop using the plate and start focusing on raising his flying type energy to the same level as his bug.-

Thankfully after experiencing the effects of the insect plate Tank was able to sorta recreate that effect with his flying type energy as he kept adjusting it's "frequency" till it showed an improvement in power. The rest of my pokemon were a bit jealous of him but understood that there was literally no way to even things out for them without the other plates. Besides Tanks training I wasn't slacking either as I practiced my hand to hand and writing skills to slow but constant progress. Well when I say slow I mean for me specifically as for anyone without the system given knowledge I had it was ridiculously quickly.-

Hand to hand was the faster of the two skills in growth however as I sparred with my pokemon to accelerate my progress. While they were severely holding back I could just barely hold my own against my pokemon. If anyone were to see my training it would raise a lot of alarms as I was matching a pokemon and there was no laws in place for such a thing. Pokemon had many laws to control the destruction they could cause but no one had ever had that same kinda power so there was no laws to restrict me which was a serious issue.-

Not that I had any intention of showing this kind of power to anyone else as that would be fucking retarded but the point stands. Still by the end of the week when I chose to leave Jubilife for Oreburgh my hand to hand mastery had gone from novice to adept mastery while my writing mastery was still novice though I felt it was approaching journeyman. I had decided that I would wait till I raised this skill to adept mastery before attempting to practice the Unknown runes so it would take so long for it to be usable.-

Oh I had plans in mind with those runes that would change everything if I pulled it off. For starters I was going to "enchant" my already mystical spear to make it even more special and powerful. I was thinking something along the lines of sun fire or maybe tap into the steel aspect of the Heatran essence it had taken in. whatever I eventually ended up with my spear was going to end up being a VERY dangerous artifact when I was done with it.-

I also planned to create that pair of conduit weapon gloves I had been saving the life ore for all this time as my aura and control had finally reached master mastery. The sheer importance of this achievement wasn't lost on me as I was likely the only master of aura amongst the human race alive right now. Perhaps once I reach champion level with my pokemon and thus relative safety I might create a school to train those I deem fit in the skill but for now I was going to turn my attention to finding a master smith and tailor to create those conduit weapon gloves I wanted.-

This meant Oreburgh was my next destination after I left Jubilife. My team was balled the morning of my departure and I set out for the eastern exit to the city that held the road to Oreburgh. There was a mountain and a cave between the two cities along with some forests. I had no intention of going into the cave originally as it would stop me from using most of my team due to the cramped nature of the place but the system had other ideas.-
