The Departure, Anxiety and The Fabled Scarlet Express (part 2)

When the three of them walked out of their Manor (Thendral Mazhihai) it was already 07: 47 am in the morning. Thomas decided they had to grab a quick breakfast on the way as the three of them hadn't eaten their breakfast yet.

Thomas had to rush back from whatever meeting he was attending in the company. Nathan heard on the way he mentioned it has something to do with some unexpected issues in their newly invested company In muggle London.

Though Nathan was intrigued he wasn't in the mood to ask anything about it. They have been investing in the muggle side of the business since last year and half. A tentative and dangerous step from Thomas point of view; It was Nathan who suggested such an Idea in fact he has been insisting this idea for about nearly three continuous years.

Due to his age these seemingly fanciful ideas were shot down again and again by Thomas. but Nathan was persistent little by little and managed to convince the stubborn old man to reconsider this so-called 'reckless plan' once again. According to Thomas, this was completely an unnecessary gamble but seeing Nathan's insistence Thomas finally agreed to give it a try under few conditions of his own.

After all Nathan was the heir to the family he didn't see any reason to decline such a proposal. Even if he had some doubts about the muggle's side of the business and their stability. He nonetheless agreed to it because whatever the outcome is this could be a very valuable lesson for the young Nathan from his point of view.

If he wins this will give him necessary courage and confidence to face whatever life throws at him in his life. Help Nathan take some bold decisions to make him forge his path or follow the footsteps of his grandfather and great-grandfather to live a successful long life.

If this thing turns out to be a wrong move it's all the more better this will surely humble Nathan and make him realize the consequences of his every careless actions in their life. Perhaps even help him develop unique intuition belonging to a successful business man in the following years and above all things 'caution'.

Thomas had to admit Nathans' persistence and passion has really amazed him to a certain degree. He wants the kid to understand the cruel reality about the people and society. Although he didn't want to let the kid face those things this soon he wanted to remind Nathan he can't always be with him and depended on him.

Fortunately for Thomas, such a valuable lesson doesn't cost much. Thomas was willing to spend this small price even if they lost some money it didn't amount to anything compared to their accumulated wealth over the centuries.

Thomas had to admit, he was awed by the kid's foresight in the end. 'Could it be this kid is a business genius? ' it's true even he at one point eying the possible potential of the business and ingenuity of the muggles but he didn't dare to take any gamble before he grasped the situation.

He for some reason remembered one of his arguments with Williams about the muggles to this date he marveled at the old man's foresight.

"You didn't believe me, did you? Alright sooner or later you will see it with your own eyes the muggles aren't to be underestimated. " Williams had a serious expression when he lectured young looking Thomas back In one of their arguments.

" I can't believe you think this highly of them, how can you compare us with those muggles we are certainly 'gifted' in more than one way and more noble " Thomas angrily retorted even his puffy cheeks trembled from his anger.

Williams sagely nodded his head as he faintly repeated " More noble! I see…That's correct, there's no denying that we are 'gifted' in more ways than them but…" Williams hedged "That still doesn't give us any ground to be complacent or ignorant in front of them or muggle borns " Williams had an somber expression on his face.

" Don't buy those bigoted people's words and opinions to your heart Thomas. As a father and elder to you have I ever looked down on any of them. This is not what I want to teach you and I only want what's best there for my children. " Williams pleaded as he gently patted the sulky looking Thomas on the back

" Nature is always meticulous and careful in balancing things, in the vast universe you keep that in your mind. I believe our advantage in being gifted compromised by the sheer number their population as it was always higher than us "

" Believe it or not we this that's what gave them protection from some deranged wizards of our kind. Our small population made it impossible for them to find us or start another trail like few centuries before"

"Don't you notice they were more innovative than our people? Do you remember how you praised that muggle born classmate for some invention..one time when you came back from school. They are keeping up with us with all those inventions while we are being stagnant."

" It's because of our mentality, you had to admit many of us were disdainful of these inventions. I'd say this wasn't exactly an encouraging mentality we should have. if they keep going on like this do you realize one day they would have developed much better civilization than us are we ever could " Williams eyes glazed over them as he spoke.

"What do you think will happen after that Hmm? Are those wards going to hide us from the generations to come? " He kept asking questions, completely ignoring the pale-faced boy. " We are taking the wrong route in this wake up Thomas wake up sigh .....ignorance is truly a blessing, " Williams shook his head with a grim look.

He was at that time a hot blooded youth who graduated from one of the top nine international magical schools with high grades. In less than a year later he joined under the tutelage of a well known potioneer of considerable fame. Intoxicated by his success in study and as a budding potioneer he was also giddy by the respect and fame amongst his friends and fellow wizards.

He felt his life was so great, he was going to take off from there. Well to be frank it wasn't far from the truth. It could be said people reached out to him left and right. He saw recognition and awe from the people. Fame finally started to get in his head at one point.

Pure blood families also reached out to him and praised his achievements, wanting to be friends with him because of his success Thomas also noticed despite not being a British they still acknowledge as one of them because he was a pure blood he also thought pure blood people were special.

At that time he didn't listen to his 'father's ' words. It takes some time to realize how he was just on the brink of getting dragged into a whirlpool of vanity and ignorance. Those fake smiles and pleasantries even now still made him extremely uncomfortable. He was thankful his father didn't let him sink in that disgusting swamp.

Thomas knew muggle business wasn't stable, whatever this 'technology' they were talking about he still had some doubts. He was the very embodiment of patience as a lot of new inventions and groundbreaking things have to develop. He wouldn't mind investing in them . He was also happy that Nathan didn't underestimate the muggles following his great- grandfather's view on them; he wanted the boy if possible to remain that way.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

Thomas was exhilarated after seeing the investments somehow went for the stable and profitable business without any problems. In the year and half the profit was more than he ever expected from some starter business this made Thomas believe that Nathan's luck and mind were very Sharp in things like business so he allowed the brat for a couple more similar investments slowly testing and guiding him if that was necessary.

Of course poor Nathan has to convince him why he thought this was a profitable business. But was it any surprise Nathan's mindset was completely different from what Thomas believed him about this spontaneous business to him it was a one time thing.

For now Nathan was simply content with what he had. Because he was by no means a business genius or had Godly intuitive understanding towards it as Thomas believed him to be. Rather all of this could be categorized as his meager future knowledge guiding him to where to invest.

Nathan in his previous life was a nobody, school dropout, aside from escaping that hellhole to live a normal life he had no goal. If he was an academic genius there was no way he would drop out from school and definitely discover his buried talent or anything.

So he had a very basic amount of knowledge in fields like technology and Business were it not for his smart phone he wouldn't even develop a habit of studying novels. In fact it was his way of numbing himself from reality at least this kept him away from drugs.

Nathan could be impulsive and idiotic at times but He was never one to gamble with his family fortune and resources. All he invested in was things he had some basic knowledge about. Surprisingly he couldn't find a single famous company of his previous life; this made him wonder whether or not they really exist in this world and timeline. So he was discreetly searching whether both worlds had the same kind of developments or not.

He saw some car companies in his previous companies didn't hesitate to invest in them then it was a company about camera and film roll he already heard idea about digital camera he boldly invested in the bold ideas and he also learned there was finally developing something like mobile phone knowing this will be success he invested happily Nathan was careful in how he taking steps in business.

But unfortunately for Nathan as he grew a lot of his old memories became chaotic and fuzzy and hard to recall most things aside from the plot of Harry Potter and some characters. Which he had to recall multiple times in all these few years to not to forget he definitely wasn't willing to become a clueless mob he would reach for whatever advantage he could gain.

And even with these arrangements he was afraid he might have forgotten quite a few things. This made him understand one thing foremost: he might really forget his previous life completely one day.

But Nathan only does this out of necessity. He knew having an excessive amount of money was necessary and came in handy in this world. It might even be crucial to his family survival in the upcoming form and his preparation if things didn't go as it should have in the plot.

So he didn't hesitate to reach out for such money making opportunities despite the fact that he thought it was a hassle. Fortunately, Thomas learned how wizards do their business for centuries. They long established a stabilized business though there is a new invention revolutionary idea they are far lower compared to the muggles.

There is no way the economy of the wizarding world will face any hard blow, at least not in five to six years at least. Not to mention it was goblins who were in control of the economy in the wizarding world in literal sense. When it comes to money they will do their utmost to work for mutual profit.

You had been surprised, it was through goblins he learned about the technological development of muggle side and investing in them. Like hawks they have every potential money making ideas, invention, business in their fingertips. It was through them he realized there was Already an embryonic form of the internet in the USA, as well 1G, development in computer and coding, weapons etc.

He had to say the canon didn't do any justice for the greedy little b******* As their nation was comparable to some great nations in the system , he had a chance to observe them up close when he visited Diagon Alley for school supplies. He had to admit he thoroughly enjoyed the trip to his heart content.

Nathan was glad he at least had his grandpa and Lizzy to share his excitement and happiness. He could only imagine how much it would be unbearable to Harry next year. At least he will have Hagrid at that time for his first trip. Nathan could only blame Dumbbells for this Tomfoolery.

Both Thomas and Lizzy come with him during the whole trip they bought his school supplies, an annoying pet and cool looking wand then they tasted the famous ice cream parlor Florean Fortescue in the magickal marketplace.

Nathan couldn't help but laugh at those memories when he remembered the time Thomas scolded Lizzy for eating too much ice cream that early. If Lizzy was a muggle she would have a sweet tooth by now with her over indulgence in sweets and ice cream.

Though he could be seen secretly drinking hot chocolate even he wasn't this much of a freak when it came to sweets. Nathan was really worried all those glucose might bring her problems but she didn't even become a little bit fatter, truly a miracle.

Nathan meets up with another famous character in the Diagon alley. He had to say Ollivander was a really creepy man. He always thought he was a Legilimency talent or something but he couldn't detect any mental probe from the old man so far.

But he had another theory that could make much more sense after seeing him in person. He could be a seer or had seer blood in him like Grindelwald that would explain many mysteries about the creepy man.

Another extraordinary thing about Ollie was that he has an exceptional memory almost comparable to Nathan's perfect recall ability aside from his previous life memory he remembers every single thing since he woke up here.

Nathan suspects it was work of a higher level being who is also for some reason trying to erase his previous life memory from his head. If not, there's no way in hell he would forget anything even if it's minute or complicated. Now Ollie here also never forgets what he sold so far Nathan heard Thomas exaggeratedly stating that Ollie even remembers the entirety of whomever he sold wands in all these years.

" Welcome... To my small store Gentlemen and.... Beautiful Miss " fortunately he didn't appear behind their back like in the movie rather he walked out from one of those dusty selves when the bell on the door rang.

Ollivander was a tall thin man with white hair and slight wrinkles on his skin wearing a greenish baggy old clothes. Both of his eyes were silver and his skin was pale white. His voice and stare are eerie; his tone had a creepy raspiness to them.

Nathan could tell something about him that made Lizzy uncomfortable even his grandpa had to force a smile on his face. " Thomas Reed it's nice to meet you again...I did expect you to meet you and your grandson one of these days " his eyes shifted to Lizzy and Nathan " Times fly doesn't it? It only seems like a few weeks ago David came for his first wand now it's his son's turn this sooner " he commented, not least bothered by the awkwardness in the room.

" Is your wand working fine? Rowan nine inches dragon heartstrings isn't it? " Wanamaker was also capable of shifting the topic on whim, and he was kind of the person who doesn't care about what others thought about them" "Yes," Thomas stiffly nodded.

As if not noticing his behavior might be uncomfortable for the three of them, his eyes now stabilizing on Nathan after a full minute he turned away while murmuring something to himself with a subtle smile.

Nathan struggled to control the urge to probe this weirdo's mind there and then it was very hard not to do at that point. [What a weirdo? Did you notice it?.... There was something off about him I am sure of it] The system interjected as soon as Olivander went to retrieve some wand box from the back row for him to try.

« Did you find anything about him? What do you mean by 'off' I already know he was a weirdo. He was Dumbledore's friend of some sorts. What do you expect? Each and everyone of his friends were weird in one way or another »

[You mean they are talented in certain fields? Aren't you a weirdo as well? What a weird way to phrase words] the system mused.

Nathan didn't bat an eye when the system made fun of him. At this point of life he developed a certain kind of immunity towards its sarcasm; he even pitied it to a certain extent as the system only had him to converse.

[Do You think I was as fragile as you, if I want to I can indefinitely go silent but are you ready for that I'm afraid like the other day you might end up breaking down crying. Just admit that you need someone to guide you to your salvation. You need me even if you're not admitting it yourself, you troublesome brat]

A seething reply came immediately he instinctively flinched which was noted by Lizzy. Who eyed him with concern reached out and took his hand " Are you nervous? Don't be...In fact I was nervous to back then it will be over in less than half an hour "

He didn't have to reply as Ollivander returned with about a dozen boxes in both of his hands despite his old age, Ollivander quite easily balancing them in a chair "Here!"

It was only after that he even took out the magic tape to measure his body. After asking a few questions he was presented with a first wand in the bunch " Red wood, unicorn tail hair soft and comfortable " Nathan reached out and took that thing thankfully there was no connection.

He long wanted to try how wands felt like he wanted to know how rejection felt before eventually acquiring his destined first wand. 'I mean who wouldn't want to feel various types of wands' He deluded himself from those novelty feelings. The second reason is he definitely did not like the gaudy looking red wand one bit.

Before he flushed the wand the old man snatched it from his hand, not even looking at him. Muttering "It's obvious "and some other unintelligible things Nathan looks somewhat comical as his hand froze in the air.

Thankfully he was quick to react. He dropped his hand when Oli took out another wand " Ebony and dragon heartstrings great for defensive magic " he didn't immediately reach out instead carefully stared at Oli " What are you looking at go on? " Olivander is now urging him.

' If you dare to snatch it once again, I will accidentally poke your eyes out with the next wand, ' he thought to himself. He grabbed them firmly and took a step back from the old man flicking his wrist like he was holding a sword. *rattle crash*

A single box fell from the nearby rack instead of the whole rack or a few more boxes fell down. ' That's it? This thing is weak ' "OH!" with an exclamation Ollie reached out to take the box before eyeing me ' What.. Is he going to scold me? I remember Harry broke many things what a hypocrite fell-'

" Quite impulsive aren't you? Here try this one then Pine, Phoenix feather eight inches great for creative works " 'Was he serious? I thought it was some kind of calculation on his part or some secret teaching from his family. What the hell? '

[Nathan tried it ] he was even more surprised when the system urged him gulping down he shakily reached out and took that wand from Ollie ' Oh Boy... What's this! ' he felt for the first time a strange, thrilling energy flashing in his body, his wand buzzing then like fireworks, multicolored sparks burst out.

Nathan long forgot his strange desire to check out all the wands in this store 'That's something new... It's unbelievable as well ...How mysterious...very Intriguing ' Nathan turned out to be the old man as he turned his attention to his new wand.

The wand wasn't beautiful or light in color with a tinge of gray and beautiful lines, on the end of the hilt a pentagon drowned overall it's simple and elegant compared to the fanciful gaudy red wood wand.

Nathan completely ignored what the adults were talking about he, fell into his own world
