Was busying leveling in ELOA, which meant I didn't post a chapter however i'll make it up!

Soaring Dragon Continent, ------

A young man dressed in white robes walked through a building that was heavily guarded. The guards saluted him as he walked past and the maids bowed to him as he continued on his way. It seemed as if he didn’t pay attention to those around him, and his eyes were focused on what was ahead.

A middle aged man with rough black hair and a scar over his left eye was seated upon a chair. He has gotten news that he would be getting a visitor today, so he prepared his home to welcome this person. When his eyes landed on the young man who was approaching, this man had a faint smile on his face, he was pleased to see him.

By the middle aged man's side were two men who were around two meters in height, wearing tan robes. Their faces were covered with a cloth, only revealing their eyes. If one were to look at them they wouldn’t feel anything, these two men seemed different. They didn’t have the slightest bit of aura released, and they never moved. One could say they were placed there to be guards, but that cannot be the case.

The young man approached the middle aged man who was seated on his chair and kneeled to him. “Father, something has happened.”

When the middle aged man seen that the young man didn’t seem to bear good news his body turned cold. “Speak Ye Che, what's going on?”

Correct, the young man who walked into the building was non other than Ye Che. After Ye Fa’s death and confronting Qiu Zhen, Ye Che decided it was time he had to make a trip to see his father. The place where he is currently is the Ye clan, and Ye Che’s father is the patriarch. Since he is his father's son, naturally he is given the status of young master, but he knows that he won’t take over the clan. The reason being is that his brothers talent is better than his, the only person who he is better than is his younger sister. Therefore in front of his father, Ye Che has to show respect, but if he went anywhere else in the clan he can do whatever he wants. Who would tell on the son of the patriarch?

Ye Che lifted his head and with a calm voice said, “Ye Fa is dead!”

“Oh? How did he die, and where is the body of his killer?”

To Ye Che’s father losing one or two members wasn’t a big lose, but he still needs to have the head of anyone who troubles his clan members. If a member of the Ye clan dies, then so does the killer, no matter what.

“He was… killed in a life and death match.” Ye Che wasn’t going to cut around the bushes, he told his father exactly what happened.

“And the killers body?”

“At the school….”

“Why didn’t you bring it back, we need to take proper measures against this type of problem. If one harms the Ye clan members, they will have a fate worse than death!”

Ye Che knew he shouldn’t tell his father that the person who killed Ye Fa is still living, and he’s living well. However, to lie in front of his father, the patriarch, was not a wise decision to make. “He is still living.”

Ye Che didn’t hold anything back, he told his father straight up that Ye Fa’s killer was still living. Knowing his father's temper Ye Che might get hit a few times, but he can take it, however he can’t continue to let Qiu Zhen live.

Ye Che’s father raised his eyebrow slightly, “You, came back here bearing news of a clansmen death, but do not bring home to killer… The fuck outta here!”

Ye Che’s father's voice was raised, causing the building to slightly tremble. His son who is outstanding, couldn’t even kill one person to get revenge for his clansmen, how could he not be disappointed.

“Tell me, is this person some super being? Can he one shot you, does he control what you do?”

“No!”

Ye Che sighed, his father wouldn’t even let him explain the whole situation, but even if he did, it still wasn’t good. “He isn’t stronger than me at all, if me and him were to fight i’m confident I can behead him in one move. However, when I approached, the elders backed him up instead. Sadly I couldn’t do anything, and I fear if ‘I’ do something then they’ll kill me. Which is why I am tell you instead.”

The patriarch put his hand on his temple, he felt a headache coming along. A person who was not stronger than his son, but had the protection of the elders couldn’t be such a simple person. He couldn’t help but ask, “What's his name, and cultivation?”

Ye Che had a strong feeling that this question was going to appear soon, and he didn’t want to answer it. If his father knew the person who killed Ye Fa was only at the first Dao realm, what kind of punishment would his father give him?

“His name is Qiu Zhen, however I’ve never heard of the surname Qiu before, and before this it seemed that he also ranked first in the entrance exam. He isn’t from any major clan, nor minor clan, when my personel asked around, it seems that he is a rogue cultivator. His cultivation is only at the first Dao re-”

Ye Che was sent flying, his father couldn’t take it anymore and had to release something. The news of Ye Fa’s killer was just too saddening to hear, no major clan, or clan at all. Only a lowly rogue cultivator, and when he heard first Dao, he knew what was next so he hit Ye Che with his energy.

Ye Che flew until he crashed into a stone pillar, blood slightly dripped down his mouth but other than that he seemed fine. His white robes had a little dust on it, but when he got up, he didn’t stumble at all.

“Fuck me, you couldn’t even handle a rogue cultivator and one with low cultivation at that! What the hell are you good for then?”

Ye Che didn’t approach his father instead he stayed in the same spot only looking at him. “As i’ve said, the elders protected him. Since he is able to kill Ye Fa, then his real strength is comparable if not above Ye Fa’s. If he is able to fight and kill someone six levels ahead of his own, it’s no surprise the elders want to protect him.”

“Then tell me, what should we do? If this brat is as strong as you say, if he connects you and Ye Chen together I fear what will happen to him. You better not let one hair on his head get touched, you hear?”

Ye Che was slightly shocked, his own father cared for someone else’s child more than himself. Ye Che really didn’t like Ye Chen, but he had to follow orders. Ye Che smiled before saying, “It’s already too late, Ye Chen has lost one whole arm, I fear his cultivation will be slower.”

The sides of the chair started cracking under the pressure that the patriarch was releasing. “What! Tell me, is it the same brat?”

Ye Che nodded. Ye Che’s father made a promise for his son to protect his saviors son, but now that he is harmed how can he face him. His only to correct such a thing is for him to kill Qiu Zhen.

“However, fear not as long as ‘we’ do not get involved everything shall turn out ok. In two months all inner disciples are going to participate in the hunt. As long as Qiu Zhen dies then, there should be no problems, as long as we have no connection to his death.”

Ye Che’s father glanced at the two men next to him. “You heard him, two months, this brat has two more months to live. You better take care of it.”

After he was done speaking to the two men next to him, the men who seemed like statues a moment ago disappeared. They didn’t release any aura, and many wouldn’t notice them ever approaching, but the speed they left at was truly terrifying.

Ye Che’s father shot a glare at Ye Che, “You gave me nothing but bad news, it seems your sister is doing better than you. If only you could be more like your brother.”

Ye Che snorted coldly, “Hpmh! She would never be able to catch up to me even if she had two lives!”

“Say that again when you meet her, her cultivation has soared in these few years. She is doing well at the Heaven Shattering Dragon school, however she has no competition anymore. I think it’s time she spread her wings, besides Lu Dong will want to go with her.”
