----------------------------------------

Soaring Dragon Continent

Qiu Zhen shakes his head as another one of the four Sky Serpent disciples loses. They weren’t even good for one match, some disciples they are. Out of the four of them, only one had managed to beat their opponent. They other two lost horribly.

One got beat in one move while the other one has a broken leg. The ones they fought didn’t even seem tough in Qiu Zhen’s eyes. Then again, none of these people seem tough in Qiu Zhen’s eyes.

“Hey, what is that thing doing on your head?” A womanly voice asked.

Qiu Zhen turned his attention to the woman wearing a deep blue robe. She was pretty cute, and she showed off her cleavage. Qiu Zhen pointed towards his head where little Mo was. “This, it’s sleeping… probably...” He replied back to her.

He was somewhat surprised by her sudden question. Before this, no one even asked him about little Mo. Not even when he went onto the stage for his match, did anything bat an eye at the little thing. This could be considered one of the first people to ask Qiu Zhen what it was doing on her head.

Qiu Zhen glances over to another arena while he watches two disciples fight it out. ‘I wonder how Gan Fang is doing.’ He asks himself.

She tilted her head. “I can see that, but why do you have it? It’s not even a demonic beast.”

Qiu Zhen shrugged. He just found the thing cute after being around the annoying guy at first. Now that it stays around him, he doesn’t even mind it.

----

‘Finally, it’s my turn.’ Gan Fang told himself as he stepped up on the stage.

After waiting for all the other disciples to have their match, he can finally step on the stage for the first time. Just waiting for a match was long, he wondered how many they would actually get through today. In his group, there are still around half that haven’t had a match yet.

He looked at his opponent who was was this slim woman. She had shiny black hair that dropped down past her shoulders. She was wearing this golden robe with red lining.

“You’ve got this sister Shi Mei!” Someone from the crowd below the arena yelled.

“Yeah, crush that guy!”

“Hey you, if you touch sister Shi Mei, I’ll kill you!”

The crowd was filled with young men talking about Shi Mei. Some of them sent threats towards Gan Fang, but he ignored them. They wouldn’t actually do anything to him. If they did, he had a way to solve it. The only way he couldn’t solve it, is if it was someone at the middle or late stage Mystic realm.

Currently he broke through and became an early staged Mystic realm cultivator. There is a huge difference between the Dao realm and the Mystic realm. Not only does it add a hundred years to your lifespan, your strength is also doubled. The comprehension of any martial skill that is grade three or lower is higher. Therefore Mystic realm cultivators can cultivate any martial skill grade three or lower to a high level in a short amount of time.

Gan Fang isn’t like Qiu Zhen who could beat someone four levels higher than himself. He is a normal person, only average. If his opponent was at the middle stage or higher, Gan Fang would have given up.

Once someone breaks into the Mystic realm, there are five levels in each stage. When one reaches the middle stage, it gets insanely hard to break through the next level. If one were to break through the middle stage and go into the late stage, then they would have to break through the next levels. It’s common for most people to never break through and become a Paragon.

Anyone can tell by the number of Paragon grade cultivators on the Soaring Dragon continent. There are less than a thousand Paragon grade cultivators.

“Sweetie, how about I let you hang out with me after this. That is if you walk off the area now.” A sweet voice said to Gan Fang.

Gan Fang shook his head. “No, i’m not interested in you.”

“Y-you!”

“Damnit! Let me get him, i’ll beat that fuckers ass!”

“How dare you decline sister Shi Mei’s offer! Her beauty is peerless and she pitied you enough to offer you a chance to hang out with her? Yet you go and decline such an offer? You must be blind to not see the beauty in front of you, or are you saying she isn’t worthy of you? Huh? HUH!?”

Gan Fang probed Shi Mei for her cultivation checked to see what level she was at. He was surprised, she was actually at the Mystic realm as well. He smiled, now he can test himself against someone around the same strength as him.

There was an old man floating in the air who was supervising this match. He glanced at the two young people below him. “Begin.” He calmly said.

“Since brother declined my offer, please don’t get mad at sister for harming you. However if you would grace this sister with your name, she would greatly appreciate it.” Shi Mei said to Gan Fang.

She seemed nice, but it could always be a facade, Gan Fang didn’t trust her. If he gave her his name and he won, she would probably do something to him later on. ‘Eh, i’ll stay in my room later anyways, worst case i’ll just stay with master.’ He told himself. He figured he would give her his name, if he declined they would think he was giving her no face at all.

“This brothers name is Gan Fang.” He said to her as he produced his staff from his ring.

“Eh?”

“EH!? Gan?”

“What!? Didn’t they all die during the war? How can there be a survivor!?”

The crowd was stunned, the Gan clan was all dead. There wasn’t even a child left, so how could Gan Fang live. Sure, there are other people with the surname Gan, however they are mortals. Anyone in the world of cultivation with the surname Gan had to be apart of the Gan clan. Someone like that still lived, this was world shaking news! The Gan clan actually had a survivor, that means he’s bound to try and get revenge for the death of his clan members. If he is still alive, that means that there must be more survivors as well!

The Gan clan, one of the seven clans that people feared. One of the clans that participated in the war only to be exterminated. There was a person left, not to mention it was a male. If he grew up and reached the peak of the Paragon realm, he could raise his clan back to greatness. Not only that, but by him being a male he can have countless women. The number of children he will have will be countless!

The old man floating in the air eyes flashed for a moment. He seemed to recall something that the emperor told him. His facial expression didn’t change even when he heard the news, but he closed his eyes. He sent a mental message to Chang Chi.

Shi Mei bowed to Gan Fang. “This sister is called Shi Mei. Brother Gan Fang, I highly advise you to get off the arena. It’s not too late.” She warned him.

Gan Fang shook his head. “This brother can’t do that. Come, let’s see if you should have actually advised me.” He told her as he took a stance with his staff.

“Fine, but I warned you.” Shi Mei said in a calm voice as she produced a light blue long sword.

----

In his seat, Chang Chi raised his eyebrow. He glanced over to one of the arena’s on the ground and smiled. ‘So he appeared. Brat, you shouldn’t have been stupid enough to appear here. Don’t even think about leaving alive!’ Chang Chi said to himself.

He got up from his seat and walked out the door followed by two armored men. Once they were some distance away from his family, Chang Chi turned to them. “The Gan clan, do you remember it?” He asked the two men.

They both nodded. “Yes!”

“You know that if you kill the mother, the cub will come for revenge. Well, the cub has appeared and it needs to go before it can think of baring it’s fangs towards me.”

Chang Chi wouldn’t let Gan Fang leave here alive. It is better to pull the teeth of a beast while they are still young and weak.

The two men nodded. “We’ll take care of it, tonight.”

Chang Chi shook his head. “No, everyone must witness. I fear some people might plan a rebellion, it is better to put fear into their hearts now. Let them see what happens to those who try to bear their fangs. Also…”

Both men were shocked, their eyes almost popped out. “Sir, are you sure?”

Chang Chi nodded and walked back to his seat. “Of course, make sure no one knows…”

Both men seeing Chang Chi’s disappearing figure gulped. “D-do… we go through… with this?” One of the men asked.

“We have to, if we don’t… it’ll be our heads.”

----

Hours past and the matches for today were finally over. Everyone dueled at least once or twice cutting the number down by a huge gap. Tomorrow would be another set of matches to cut it down by even more.

Those that won two matches were mostly at the Mystic realm. However there were a few disciples that happened to win two matches while still at the Dao realm. Those ones who won could be considered lucky.

Qiu Zhen glanced at his side to Gan Fang who had a cheerful smile on his face. He heard from him a few minutes ago that he won over two Mystic realm disciples. It took him a few blows, but he managed to break through.

Currently there were only a few disciples of the Sky Serpent school that are continuing to duel tomorrow. Most of them managed to win one match, but another half lost horribly in the first match.

The ones that won one or two matches were currently sitting around chatting merrily while drinking and eating. They were mingling with some disciples from some other schools as well. Everyone was celebrating their victories.

Even Qiu Zhen takes a break now and again to just chill and hang out with others. He can’t always meditate, if he does that then he’ll be like those brainless idiots. One must relax from time to time in order to ease their stress. Not to mention you can find out all sorts of information!

“Pass the booze!” Gan Fang laughed as he held out his cup towards Qiu Zhen.

“No, let me.” Someone with an angelic voice said.

Gan Fang and Qiu Zhen both turned their head only to find a beautiful woman wearing a skin tight blue dress. She had long light blue hair that dropped over her shoulders and two silver earrings. Her two bosoms were sticking out, it seemed like they wanted to escape from the clothing.

Her violet colored eyes were glued on Gan Fang as she walked over seductively. She bent down and grabbed the bottle of booze that was on the table. When she bent over, Qiu Zhen smelt something nice in the air. She pushed a part of her hair past her ear as she poured Gan Fang a cup.

Qiu Zhen grinned as he looked at Gan Fang. He didn’t count how many times this guy drunk, but he could see that he wasn’t even drunk yet. However, his eyes were glued on that womans bosoms. Clearly, he was attracted to them. In this sort of environment and with the cheery mood going on, anyone would be attracted to them.

“May I sit?” She asked him.

Gan Fang nodded his head. The woman sat down next to Gan Fang and smiled as she poured herself a cup of booze. Shortly after two more women came over to them.

“You’re Qiu Zhen correct? I just loved the way you moved up there!” One of the women told Qiu Zhen as she sat beside him.

She was also highly attractive, and her looks wasn’t lower than the woman next to Gan Fang. There was another one who was sitting between Gan Fang and Qiu Zhen, she was happily chatting with the other woman who was holding onto Gan Fang’s arm.

“I am. Who are you?” Qiu Zhen asked.

He wasn’t tempted by this woman, he already had Yan Xiang in his heart. As Chang Mu he told her to find someone else, but he is Qiu Zhen. As long as he comforts her and gains strength, he is sure that he will be able to win her heart again. First he needs her to be able to let go of Chang Mu. Once she does that, he’ll make his move.

The woman next to Qiu Zhen started giggling. “You don’t know me? I’m Mei Jiao.” She softly said while leaning closer to Qiu Zhen’s ear.

Qiu Zhen grabbed his cup of booze on the table and put it to his lips hoping to drink something. Only it was empty. He reached for the bottle of booze on the table, but Mei Jiao moved first.

“Here, i’ll fill it up for you.” She offered as she started pouring him a drink.

“Many thanks sister.” Qiu Zhen said as he took a sip.

“Aww, sister? I was… no, nevermind…” She softly said.

When the booze went down Qiu Zhen’s throat, he felt an odd taste. He dropped his cup and looked at Gan Fang who was falling over and leaning on on the woman in the blue dress.

“You! What have you done?” He asked them.
