Soaring Dragon Continent, Sky Serpent School
Qiu Zhen was seated in front of his master listening to him ramble on about what he expects of him with his new status. Fang Wei is glad that his disciple’s future is bright, with such a disciple he feels like he could die at peace.
When Qiu Zhen met with the headmaster of the school, the headmaster was surprised to find that Qiu Zhen was so young. Only fourteen years old and at the first dao realm with the strength to beat someone six levels above his own. In all his years he has never seen someone with such strength. The first thing the headmaster did was ask Qiu Zhen if he wanted to be taken as his disciple, but Qiu Zhen declined.
Once he declined the other elders in the room felt like he gave up a great offer, but they were also ecstatic because they could make him their disciple now. However Qiu Zhen also declined them, only to tell them that Fang Wei was his master. This gave them great surprise and many of the elders gave envious looks at Fang Wei.
It must be known that with Qiu Zhen’s talent, his future is sure to be great. When he reaches the immortal realm his name will be known throughout the heavens, and everyone will want to know who his master is. With Fang Wei as his master, or anyone for that matter, their fame will also climb the scales as well.
Not to mention the Sky Serpent School’s fame will soar along with such a disciple. With Qiu Zhen’s strength and talent he’ll make the Sky Serpent school the overlord of the Fu kingdom. This will not only secure their spot as the number one school in the kingdom, it will also let them have access to countless genius’ just waiting to be picked.
The headmaster has given Qiu Zhen permission to live in any one of the areas as he chooses, and a pass to the fourth floor of the martial skill building which is only accessible to core disciples. Not only that he has given Qiu Zhen three Dao Elixirs to help his cultivation, and told Qiu Zhen that whatever he needs just ask for it.
Elixirs are different from cultivation pills, pills you can make but elixirs are found. When one finds a stream or pool of qi energy that is heavily condensed it is usually a small amount. However if you collect enough over the years, the it’ll become bigger. An elixir is the raw and most purest form of qi there is, but it is very rare. An elixir can increase cultivation three times more than a pill can, therefore it is worth much more. The price for even the lowest of elixirs can amount to millions of gold, and that is only for one, but the headmaster has given him three.
In his head, Qiu Zhen was thinking of showing the headmaster all the items he wanted Fang Wei to get for him, but he decided not to do it. He can’t be too shameless.
With all this happening Qiu Zhen’s fame within the inner disciples has soared to new heights. All the factions are looking at him, and want to pull him in, while many others have decided it's best to be friendly with him. Before this Qiu Zhen was hardly known, if he was known it was because few people seen his match with Ye Fa before. However, now that he has killed Ye Fa in front of all the inner disciples, his fame is more than tenfold what it use to be.
Ye Fa was ranked in the top hundred, however that spot is now owned by Qiu Zhen. If one wasn’t from the school they wouldn’t believe that a first Dao realm disciple had to strength to be placed in the top hundred. They wouldn’t even have the strength to be placed in the thousands.
Now that Qiu Zhen’s name was known, and so was his face he had numerous people coming to look for him. Some of the female disciples slipped him notes, or approached him whenever he appeared. It wasn’t that Qiu Zhen didn’t like all the attention, it was he was attracting too much attention and things were getting annoying. He couldn’t even take a walk out his house without someone coming up to him, and he feared that these people were looking into his background.

He was correct about that, many of the disciples from major clans and even minor ones started to look into him. However what they found wasn’t what they thought, all the information on Qiu Zhen is highly limited. It’s not that they were forbidden access to that information, it’s just that no one knew about him before he appeared at the school. Therefore many of the clans were highly suspicious and started investigating even more into his background, they must know everything about him.
What Qiu Zhen feared the most was this news spreading across all of the kingdoms and making its way to Chang Chi. If Chang Chi knew about Qiu Zhen who knew what would happen to him. If this information made it’s way to other clans, they might give him a choice to marry into their family, but if he declined then he would die.
With all of this happening Qiu Zhen decided he should just stay at his master's place until things dile down. With the Dao Elixirs, Qiu Zhen didn’t make another breakthrough, even if he could absorb all of the qi within it. To go from the one level to the other gets harder and harder as you get higher in your cultivation. If a disciple managed to even go up two levels in a year would be considered good, even with pills.
However one thing was certain, Qiu Zhen was not happy at all, in fact he was extremely bored. He knows that peace and quiet is a good thing, however he needs some action, he needs something to stir his excitement.
“Master, this disciple wants to know if there is a place I can hunt demon beast?”
“There is a place, however if you wait a few months you can go there.”
“Why can’t I go now?”
“Because it only opens every three months.”
‘Maybe I should go play with the Death Blood faction, haven’t heard from them in a while.’ Qiu Zhen got up from his meditative position and walked towards the door, opening it an elder appeared.
Qiu Zhen bowed to the elder, while Fang Wei stopped meditating and came over. The elder passed Fang Wei a piece of paper, which looked very luxurious. Qiu Zhen was kind of curious so he walked over to Fang Wei and wanted to see the letter for himself.
“Master, who’s that letter from?”
After Fang Wei finished reading the letter it didn’t burn but turned into a golden token, and Fang Wei nodded at the other elder. “Oh, Qiu Zhen it seems we have to change our schedule around some.”
Qiu Zhen seemed confused, he didn’t understand what his master was talking about. “What are you talking about?”
Fang Wei grinned, “We were invited by Emperor Chang to the first major event in history. It seems he wants to scout out all the gems of the younger generation.”
Qiu Zhen was stunned, he didn’t think that Chang Chi would send his master a personal invitation. “Master, how do you know the emperor?”
Seeing that his disciple thought he knew emperor Chang personally, Fang Wei couldn’t help but laugh. “Hahaha, I don’t know him, this invitation was sent to all the elders and headmasters of all the first rate schools. Seem’s something big is going to happen later this year.”
“Seem’s like fun, let me know how it goes.” Qiu Zhen wasn’t interested in going, he didn’t want to look at Chang Chi unless he was going to kill him, so he started walking off.
Fang Wei frowned when he noticed that Qiu Zhen wasn’t interested, so he grabbed him by his collar. “You have to go too, it’s not just the elders and headmaster. Each one of us gets to choose one or two of our own disciples to participate in the event. Besides, I want to check out the others to see how far you would rank with them.”
A thought flashed through Qiu Zhen’s mine before he smiled, “Ok, it seems it might be fun.”
“Look you can be a good disciple, you have until the end of the year to increase your cultivation. If they are gathering all the gems of the young generation, then things might get out of hand so you need to be prepared.”
