The Beginning-Hadrian

The Beginning-Hadrian

Hadrian couldn’t be bothered to listen to the welcome speech Dumbledore was giving. It was the same every year. But then, then he deviated from the normal tone and schtick to call someone forth. After a lengthy pause, and him calling the name several more times the doors to the Great Hall were flung open; and with significant force. Hadrian turned his full attention to the entrance. There in the doorway stood a girl about his age. Her hair was a deep, rich indigo in color but was shot through with streaks of greens and other shades of blue. Her face suggested Asian ancestry but it was hard to say much more than that. She was tall and moved down the aisle between the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw tables with a dangerously feline grace. She didn’t say a word to Dumbledore, just picked up the sorting hat. She stared at the hat for a long moment before she donned it. There was a deafening silence for a very long moment. Then, without warning the sorting hat shouted “SLYTHERIN!”.
