Vi woke the next morning before either of the boys. She looked over at Hadrian and sighed. She’d been right. His blood adoption was completely gone now. His hair was darker and longer than before. She ran her fingers through it. It was softer than acromantula silk. She sighed softly. It was time to get up. Her father was likely to be here soon making a fuss. She slipped from bed and made her way to the bathroom to shower. Just as she was getting ready to strip and step beneath the spray, she found herself suddenly pinned to the wall.
“You wouldn’t be thinking of leaving this room, now would you?” Hadrian’s deep voice was even deeper than the night before and rough with sleep.
“You dare question me, dhampir?” She growled swiftly switching their positions.
Hadrian bit back a moan at her words.
“Now to answer your question, no I wasn’t leaving because I want to,” she sighed releasing him. “My father is likely going to cause quite the stir when he learns just who my mates are. And there are secrets yet to be revealed.”
Hadrian looked at her quizzically.
“Have you not looked in the mirror this morning?” She asked.
Hadrian shook his head. To which Vi replied with a waving motion of her hand indicating that he should. Hadrian stepped from the her side and went to the mirror. By his sharp intake of breath, Vi figured he’d noticed the difference in his appearance. He returned to her swiftly.
“You knew my appearance was going to change didn’t you?” He whispered.
“I had my suspicions that you had been blood adopted as a baby but until the common room last night when your eyes flashed in response to mine, it was brief but coupled with the information I gleaned from both you and Snape, I was able to know for sure.” She paused, unsure how to tell him the rest. “Hadrian, your father isn’t James Potter. Your father is Professor Snape.”
