When Jin/Belphegor came out far enough, he called Lucian out. ‘Lucian… why?’
‘Because you were too nice. Mercy unto others is punishment unto yourself. If given the chance, they would take every advantage of you Jin. You should know this by now.’ Lucian calmly spoke.
‘… But what about their families?’ Jin sorrowfully thought.
‘… You are too soft. You can break arms, legs, rip flesh, blackmail, force command, and gouge out eyeballs and nerves all while acting cold…. But that is all an act. You can’t kill for the sake of saving another... *Sigh* Just so you know Jin, some of these people don’t give a cracker about their family. They can kill each other and their own kind without mercy. They can even abandon them for their own sake. Some people are twisted like that with their own dark philosophy and thus should not be judged with the same standards as everyone else’ Lucian explains. ‘You are far too good and human to be in this dark world. But that is what your world is now so you had no choice. If I had the power Jin, I would make this world a better place. But I too am human. I am dead as well. So I can’t change much. Forgive me if I was trying my best to protect you.’ Lucian said and then disappears.

Jin said nothing. Every word Lucian said was right and he knew it was. He just didn’t want to accept the truth for what it was. Jin looked up at the moonless sky covered by dark clouds without even a single star’s light. It was almost like a dark cloak enshrouding the world with hopelessness with a bleak future.
‘Forget it. I really have to thank him. But their deaths really makes me feel uneasy'
