After Jin left Meracle’s house, he went to the hospital where the casino boss’ family were in with the Belphegor mask on. The money Jin had was used to bribe the securities to ignore what he was doing and allow entry to the closed hospital. When he entered, they showed him the way to the patients ward and where each patients were.
Jin entered the casino boss’ wife’s ward. He went inside to check up if the disease was still remaining inside her body. When he went to get her blood tested, everything was green. The disease was completely cured inside. ‘Thank goodness. Here I thought I messed up’
When he went back to check up on her, he found out that she was awake. “Were you the one who cured me?” she asked.
Jin nodded.
“. . . Can you cure my sons and daughters as well?” She weakly asked.
He wrote on a piece of paper and handed it to her that reads, “…. There are no guarantees. But I will try” and left her ward.
As promised, he cured the casino boss’ wife. But for the children, he needed some insurances. Of course he can cure her children. The underworld can get rough and some people might not keep their promises after a certain point.
Which was why he made a drug that can make the disease stay dormant for a good forty eight hours with an extra surprise if the disease is not cured in time. He injected the drug inside their body to momentarily subside the disease so it looked like they were cured. When he was done with his business inside the hospital, he went to the underworld casino.
2:00 am
Jin arrived there around two o clock in the morning tired and worn out. He really didn’t want to fight anyone inside the casino. But he will if needed.
Once inside, there was only one person waiting for Jin and was sitting at a table with food and wine prepared.
“You came early. I’ve been waiting Belphegor” the casino boss smiled. “Come. Sit” He invited as he drank some water.
Belphegor/Jin did not know what the casino boss was planning. But he stood in front of the casino boss without accepting to sit.
“. . . Sorry. Forgot that even in the underworld, trust is hard to come by” the casino boss weakly smiled.
“I’m here to tell you that your wife and children has been treated as promised.” Belphegor said coldly with the voice changer on. “Now, it is your turn”
“T-that fast?” The casino boss couldn’t believe it. Belphegor really did keep his promise. He picks up a tall glass of water to cool himself off.
“First, hand over the informations that I requested. Technically, today is the third day since it is morning. Then I’ll start curing you” Belphegor said.
“Of- Of course!” The casino boss’ eyes shined as he eagerly handed over to him a black suitcase. He opened it to show Belphegor that there was a bunch of papers inside. Data upon data on hundreds of people that Belpehgor asked for. But most of all, an external hard drive and a small laptop was inside. The casino boss even confirmed the external hard drive to Belphegor. ‘I hope he’ll be pleased.’
“Good. Now, bring me over a gun. I’ll return the gun once I’m done.” Belphegor said.
Without any hesitation, the casino boss brought over a gun for Belphegor.
Once the gun was in his hand, Belphegor walked outside of the casino and stood at the entrance. *BANG*BANG*BANG*BANG* Four rounds were fired and four ear piercing screams rang aloud. Four figures screaming because they were shot in the leg.
He came back inside and said, “Having people to ambush me is not a good way to greet a person. I’ve shot them in the legs as a warning. So I’m starting to reconsider my offer to you”
“W-wait! Those were not to ambush you!” The casino boss tried to explain. They were to protect Belphegor along the way should anyone tried to injure him.
“Regardless, I do keep promises. When I do cure you, I want you to quit being a casino boss.” Belphegor said to him. This made the casino boss wince.
“B-But I’ve been working like this for twenty long years! How can I change my career now!?” the casino boss complained.
“. . . Your medical records… It showed that you’ve had this disease for a long time already. Though the signs you’ve shown are not severe, the medical records clearly tells that you only have a few years left to live. Ten years at best” Bephegor begins to say.
“B-but you can cure me right?” the casino boss felt desperate.
“*Sigh* Your disease already progressed so far, but by pure luck, no, more like pure will. You’ve worked to earn money to find a cure for your disease but so many doctors already failed in the past. Due to your strong will, you did not show signs of the disease progressing. But I’m sure food lost their smell and tastes to you right? Even water started to taste better because you can at least feel it going down and quenching your thirsts. Your sight is not getting bad because of old age, but because the disease is already progressing so far. The glasses you wear? Maybe four times as stronger than the average person needed. Your hearing also beings to fail you am I right?” Belphegor pointed out. “It may already be too late for you if you keep living like this. The stress also helps the disease to progress even faster.”
The casino boss couldn’t deny it. The food he ate everyday started to lose their smell and taste to him. Everything really lost their taste to him. The water he’d been constantly drinking did make him feel better because he can feel it. His eyes really were bad and was only going downhill. Even his hearing started to fail him not too long ago.
“*Sigh* Which is why you need a different life style as well. I suggest you change your career fast if you want to live with your family for a few years longer. As I’ve said, I can cure you. Just not a guarantee cure like your family. Even so, even if this cure does not work, it can at best extend your life for a good five years with subsided symptoms and at most fifteen years before the disease takes over you and kill you.” Belphegor explains to him.
“. . . Five good years huh… I guess it won’t be that bad. I haven’t been a good father to my children nor my wife in a long time.” The casino boss looked down on his wrinkled hands. “. . . I’ll do it. But can I have any more children after this?”
“. . . You are already lucky enough to have children that lasted this long. You want more to suffer? I won’t cure anymore if that is what you are thinking” Belphegor glared at him.
“I-I understand. It was just a joke sir. Don’t take it too seriously” The casino boss’ neck was sweaty once Belphegor glared at him.
“Good. I’ll make this short and simple for you.” Belphegor nodded. He opens a silver suitcase and pulls out a big syringe with a liter of a strange solution. “Open your mouth”
“Eh? E-excuse me sir?” The casino boss’ eyes widen.
“Your process is a little different from your wife and children. First, I have to make you drink this entire solution. It will cause your disease to stay in a dormant state for a period and make your entire body feel numb. Once a certain amount of time has passed, I will inject this syringe in three spots. Two in your shoulders, and one in your neck.” Belphegor explains.
“B-But that syringe…. It’s too big….” The casino boss wanted to wail.
“. . . It is this or the more painful and less successful way. The less successful way is for me to give you a pill that will cause you to writhe in pain. Then, for the next two hours, you will be forced to drink this other solution in intervals of ten minutes.” Belphegor said as he pulls out another bottle. Smaller but a hell lot darker. “This will amplify your pain and ups the chances of curing you. Oh, let me tell you what it does, it knocks out elephants with pain and helps purify your blood and liver. Sure chloroform would work to make you sleep, but this is better. Why? Because when I cut you up, it will be much more painful and you might wake up with the chloroform off or not working at all. So pain cures pain. Afterwards, I will inject not three but six shots into your liver, heart and male genitals” Belphegor wickedly said to him. It sounded more like a threat.
“I-I’ll take the less painful way if possible…” the casino boss whimpered as the process began.
Unexpectedly, it didn’t hurt and was over with quickly. Belphegor quickly took his leave after he was finished treating the casino boss.
He then went back to the hospital to treat the rest of the casino boss’ children.
“Wa-wait...” the casino boss’ wife said to him. “Thank you. C-can I ask you for your name?”
“. . . Tell your husband, that his luck is good. All of his children is cured and so was his wife. My job is done here.” Belphegor said to her and finally left.
The time was still four o clock in the morning. He spent a night and a few hours in the morning doing nothing but taking care of patients. It was wearing him out. He took off his mask in a safe place and took a fresh breath of air.
‘*Inhale*Exhale*. . . Time to visit mammon today… ugh…’ Jin groaned. ‘Didn’t get enough rest at all…. My body is starting to hurt. Especially my legs…’ he wanted to just fall in the middle of the streets to sleep. But if he did, people would start robbing him left and right of his money and other possessions.
Jin’s body was still slightly worn out and swayed side to side as he walked forward. “I think I need to take a break somewhere first. I can visit her some other time today...”
So instead of going to Mammon’s place, he went to the park near Meracle’s house to get a few hours of rest by doing qi training.
‘This might be a good spot!’ and Jin sat down with closed eyes to do a light qi exercise to help condition his body.
But in the middle of the qi exercise, memories flashed through his mind. Forgotten pieces of his days as Belphegor came back even more complete.
Cold sweats rolled down his back as more memories kept on coming back to him. There were more memories than the first time they came back and much more fluidly. He still had to piece some of them together to make some sense. But they most of them were still memories of him as Belphegor when he was young except one. That one memory was not of him being Belphegor. But of an old man with white hair.
‘You’ve done all you can. So take a good rest’ The old voice resounded inside his head. ‘*Bonk*Bonk*Bonk*’ The old man hits him three times, making Jin reopen his eyes and held his head in pain while rolling on the grassy land. “Owww!!!” Jin wailed. “Why the hell does it hurt?”
The memory stops there and could no further be remembered. “The hell was that? Was that even a part of my memory?” Jin mutters as the pain finally stopped.
Jin laid flat on his back while looking up at the starry sky. “*Sigh* Why is it that there is so much drama going on right now? Not only do I have to worry about my own problems of trying to be a saint, I have to worry about getting a few people’s lives in order. Loser’s debt left to girlfriend. That sucks because she lives in my old house! Avoiding marriage? What does that have to do with me? Mean as hell older sister and aunt on my ass… ugh… But I still got pulled in it. Going down the streets naked wearing a sign all my life. Now that is going to be one of the highlights of an underworld ruler’s life. *Tch* Why can’t I live in peace? Argh!!!!!”
Jin closed his eyes and the weariness took over his body. The cool breeze only made him sleepier. Jin fell fast asleep under the starry sky without knowing it.
The angel of light, who was watching over him smiled. “Those who work hard don’t get breaks often Jin. You should know this by now.”
The angel of light walked right over to Jin’s body, places his hand on his stomach and reconditions Jin’s body using his own qi. Jin’s body started to glow faintly with light. ‘Hm? Cyan’s qi? His qi is sealed with so many seals… But it is not going to hold him forever… Hm? A crack? Oh… so that was what I felt… But it is leaking a little. I’ll repair it’ the angel of light thought.
The angel of light poured a little more qi into his body to repair the seals. ‘There! That should be good enough. The crack is no longer that big but still leaking small but unnoticeable energy. Guess I should leave now… Whoa!’
The angel of light fell down because he’d used too much qi on repair the seals. The toll was slightly more than he’d expected. ‘Ugh. Sh*t… *Huff*Huff* Wasn’t able to heal Jin because it took much more energy to repair the seal huh… Well, not that bad.’ He thought to himself as he looked up to the stars.
“Oh? What are the two of you doing here?” A police officer came up to ask.
“. . . Looking up at the stars officer. Is that a crime?” the angel of light jokingly said.
“No. But I see some suspicious suitcases. Mind if I take a look?” the police officer said with a smile.
“Ah, those aren’t mine. Those are his. Just wait till he wakes up to ask him” The angel of light said.
“Well, since he is asleep. I’ll take these back to the stations to check them out. Tell him for me when he wakes up. Alright?” the police officer said as he reaches for one of the suitcases.
When he did grab one, Jin instinctively grabbed the police officer’s hand with one hand to stop the police officer.
‘What!? So he was awake!” The police officer exclaims while trying to pull himself away.
“Nope. Just his own instincts officer. No one can get out of his grip once he does that. Ha ha ha!” the angel of light laughs loudly.
“Well. Get him up! If he has enough strength to grab my arm, he sure have enough strength to wake up!” the police officer started to use his other hand to pry open Jin’s grip.
Seeing the poor police officer, the angel of light waved his hand behind his back to loosen Jin’s grip. Once done, the police officer pulled himself free. He was about to go back to grab the suitcases until he remembered that strong grip. “Sir. Can you get those suitcases for me?”
“Nope.” The angel of light answers plainly.
“Sir. I am still asking nicely. Get those for me” the police officer felt disrespected by the plain answer.
“I am also being nice officer. Just let things be.” The angel of light ignored the officer.
“Well now. I guess I’ll have to write you down now don’t I?” The officer pulls out a yellow pad. “For obstruction of justice… blah blah blah…”
“. . .” The angel of light was slightly amused. “Obstruction of justice?”
“Mhm Now tell me your name so I can bring the two of you later to the police station” the officer points to the old man and Jin.
“Abel…” The angel of light mutters.
“Abel... Something. Whut. Tell me your last name you know” The police officer looked discontent.
“Able to f*ck off?” the angel of light snorted.
The police officer’s face turned slightly green with anger. “. . . Now. I’ll let you off with that one old man just because you are old. Now tell me your name or I will have to arrest the both of you.”
The angel of light turned red from being called an old man. The angel of light got up, took his stick/cane and strode up to the police officer. “You dare have the balls to do it?”
“W-what. Wanna fight? Even though I am a police officer, I will fight back. Don’t blame me if I shoot” the police officer warned.
“*Humph!*” the angel of light snorted and swung his cane downward on the police officer’s head. *Bonk!*
“!!! FOR ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER. YOU-“ the police officer said as he ready himself to get his gun.
“*Pfft* Like that sh*t works on me” the angel of light snorted once more and continues to throw barrages of blows at the police officer.
“You!!!!- St- Hey!- Wai- Dammit!!!” the police officer cried. He was not even given the chance to get his gun. Every time, he reached for it, the stick smacked his hands away, poked the air in his stomach out, and resumed smacking the officer’s face.
The angel of light’s stick flickered like flashes of light. The speed could not be seen easily by the naked eye and was always in the officer’s blind spot so it was hard to read and defend. “Are you going to run now officer? Or do I have to beat it into you?” the angel of light said.
“Argh!!! You did it now!” The police officer roared. He pulled out his baton to do battle with an old man.
A coldness flashed in those old eyes. “*Sigh* Disrespectful cocky bastard! Now, I’ll teach you how to respect your elders!” The angel of light brandished his stick like a blade and released a bloodlust beyond compare.
The police officer nearly fainted when he felt the bloodlust. But he was brought back to reality when the angel of light started to hit him.
“Fore head, neck, temple, left arm, stomach, right shoulder, crotch, chest, wind pipe, thighs, left eye, abdomen, nose, calves, toe!” The angel of light was just messing with the police officer. He started to name the spots that he was going to hit and stopped right at the toe, smashing it till it swelled up. “Going to leave now or should I break your bones?”
The officer ran off in fear screaming and limping in pain. “I-I-I’ll b-be back!”
“Ugh… Angel of light… Beating a human with a stick… This will definitely go on my records of most shameful fights…” he groaned. The angel of light then rearranged the suitcases neatly around Jin and sat right back down next to him. “. . . Sh*t… beating up a child… Not a good feeling you know? But… might as well kill the prick while I’m at it. But then… still human and still needs to learn. So I’ll just erase his memories when morning comes.”
But ten minutes later, the two were surrounded by two vehicles. Many police officers came out with batons readied. The angel of light recognized the one he recently beaten up.
“Aww sh*t… not you again” The angel of light sighed. The angel of light gave light beatings to them just to scare them away. But the more he scares, the more they multiply.
The angel of light had to continuously repeat this same action until a total of forty eight vehicles made its way to the park just to catch the two people. Again, their lines repeats, “You two are under arrest for obstruction of justice, assaulting a police, and-”
Except this time, the police officers’ faces fell once they saw the angel of light glowing in a red color and sudden craters appeared around him.
*Boom*Boom*Boom*Boom*Boom*Boom* The very earth cracked under the pressure of anger.
“F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF F*CK OFF” The angel of light roared in a fit of rage.
Rays from the starry night sky came crashing down like waterfalls and destroyed each and every single vehicle around the angel of light, melting them to heaps.
“Will you f*ck off or do I have to kill you all?” The angel of light angrily clenches his fists. All of the police officers ran screaming like the one before. Only difference is, the angel of light chose to chase them down and erase all their memories of the past twenty four hours. Afterwards, he threw them into a garbage dump and sent it to the hospital all in a short amount of time.

The angel of light came back to the park and restored the environment to how it originally looked and left. “*Che* I should leave before any more problems arise”
Jin slept through the entire thing. Not because he didn’t wake up by the sounds. But he didn’t want to wake up. He woke up by the time the angel of light beat down the police officer. He saw the angry angel of light and immediately shut his eyes tight. Once he left, only then did Jin open his eyes. “. . . I’m only human… I should really avoid anyone from the heavens if they are as scary as him” Jin weakly smiled and got back up. ‘Time to visit Meracle… Ugh… I think it got a cramp’
Jin went off to check on Meracle in the morning to see how she was doing out of concern. Jin felt bad for making Meracle feel bad. But some things people need to realize early before it is too late. Later, Lucian and Jin had small talk. Jin hid some things from Lucian about the other people he’d met. If he did reveal it, there was an eighty percent that Lucian would erase his memories. He didn’t want that. So he left things out as is and only said the memories were in fragments and were pieced together in which cases are some of the memories.
Jin soon ran to begin his day as well. He couldn’t watch over Meracle the entire time. The thing he was more concerned with was Mirana. She was more mysterious than he’d initially thought. 'I need to find out more about her…’ Jin thought as he moves swiftly to Mammon’s place.
Mammon’s place…. 10:00 am.
Mammon only recently opened her business in the morning. “*Sigh* I got up too early” Mammon complained to herself.
“Sister Lin? Everything is ready. Should we open now?” Farrah came out to ask. Lin was the name Mammon went by during the day. Keeping her identity as Mammon a secret was important to her business during the day. Why? Mainly due to the fact that many people wants to hunt down underworld rulers for many reasons.
“Mmm. He is coming today as well. So we want to make sure everything is in order.” Mammon nodded. “Also, don’t forget to pack the ‘goods’ into the ‘luggage’ and ready them in my room”
“Done and done. When do you think he’ll come Sister Lin?” Farrah asked.
“Hmmm. He always comes at the most random time. So no matter what, you would want to be prepared to meet him. Heh… The last time I was not prepared, he…” Mammon was about to tell Farrah something that had happened in the past until she could feel someone’s shadow on her back. Farrah stood stiff as well.
“I what Lin?” Jin came to whisper in her ears.
“Kya!!! B-B-B-B” The word couldn’t come out of her mouth. Mammon was too scared.
“Call me Houyi or Jin. Whichever you prefer Lin.” Jin sweetly smiled.
“!!! Is one of the two your real names?” Mammon whispers.
“Hmmm. Can’t remember anymore. I go by so many names that it no longer counts Lin.” He lied. Jin turns his head to Farrah to ask, “Hey there Farrah. How is it so far? Like it here?”
*Woosh* Farrah ran at break neck speed and jumped on him with full force. *Doom* Farrah was squeezing the life out of him with a great bear hug. Her strength had improved in just a few days.
“Ughh Farah… Can’t breathe…” Jin was suffocating under all the mass that was placed on his face. His arms flails on the ground and slapped it repeatedly to show resignation. “Farrah… Though you really do smell good and cute and all… I still need to get my things”
Remembering that Belphegor/Jin came to get his things, she got off of him and apologizes. “Sorry master. I was a little too excited.”
Mammon had a sour look on her face. ‘He never lets me do that to him…’
“Drop the master thing. Just call me Jin or Houyi from now on. Either one works.” Jin got up to fix himself. “Also, do you have what I need?”
Mammon gave a slight smirk and nodded. She snapped her fingers as a signal to Farrah to get the suitcase of information for Jin.
“Let me take shelter in your room for a while Lin. My back and legs are killing me today” Jin/Belphegor joked.
“Heh… killing. Funny that you should say that… Jin. Alright. Just go in. No one is here yet.” Mammon shook her head. She really had a hard time believing that the person in front of her is Belphegor. He was too relaxed and laid back to be Belphegor. ‘Maybe I’ll open a little late today…’ She thought as she kept the business sign on the side that reads, “Not open yet!”
Jin walked right into Mammon’s room and sat down.
“Here you go… Jin” Farrah gave him the suitcase designated for him and laid it on the table in front of him. Jin opens the suitcase and scanned through the files.
This was an amazing scene to Farrah because to her, Jin was practically reading page a minute. Each page contained at least three thousand words and Jin was just speed reading through it. She didn’t want to interrupt him and only sat right next to him.
Mammon came in and signaled for Farrah to come out. Obeying Mammon, Farrah came out per her orders.
“Leave Belphegor to his own Farrah. He is usually like this” Mammon smiled.
“I… Don’t get it. How is he able to read so fast? Even I take time to read such long files” Farrah said.
“Silly Farrah. That is just him being slow. You should see him in the old days. He would speed through files like those like a machine.” Mammon had a happy look on her face.
“Huh!? Is he the fastest reader or something?” Farrah continued to ask.
“Hmmm… In this day and age, the fastest reader can read 12,000 words per minute with a seventy percent comprehension. But that super human died a long time ago. The person with the highest comprehension with a score close to that only had a score of 11,000 words per minute with a high ninety-five percent comprehension. The average speed readers can only read 4,000 words per minute with comprehension of fifty five and above in this day and age. It is already hard enough to get a comprehension above fifty five. But Belphegor is beyond the average. Can you guess Belphegor’s reading? I’ll give you a hint. It is higher than eight thousand words and fifty five percent.” Mammon grinned.
“Ummm… Ten thousand words per minute? With a comprehension of seventy five percent?” Farrah answered nervously.
“*Bzzt* Wrong! He can read 10,900 words per minute with a comprehension percent of eighty percent. He only lost by a few hundred words but he can remember everything on the paper. Meaning, he can just flash the scrap of paper in front of his eyes and he already read it and understood eighty percent of it. He is near the top but isn’t there yet.” Mammon said with a lot of pride.
“Wow… But how come he doesn’t do it now?” Farrah asked out of curiosity. “Also, why didn’t he aim to be the top at speed reading?”
“Because Farrah, from the looks of things, Jin’s abilities are more or less 2nd or 3rd rate. He could never have time to master a single skill because ‘it took too much time’ or so he told me. But combined, Jin would be one of the top all-rounder being the most versatile person living on this planet. Although he is like a degraded masterpiece somewhat. But after six long years, his skills really degraded. Back then, he was coldblooded and… well… like ice. But look at him now, he has a much warmer atmosphere around him and more relaxed. It is obvious that he slowed down a lot. I do mean a lot” Mammon slightly exaggerated. “The evidence is in plain sight. He is clearly a much warmer person. Exactly like a marshmallow. Not that I don’t like it. I absolutely love it actually. Just don’t roast him.”
“Then, Sister Lin, what was he like six years ago?” Farrah was overly curious now.
“Hmmmm. I guess it won’t hurt to tell you a bit.” Mammon brought Farrah over to a table to retell a bit about Belphegor. “Six years ago, B- wait… sorry. Jin and I worked together once. He… was a special case in partnership. Why? Because he would always be so distant and secretive that most people couldn’t trust him. But back then, he didn’t need trust. Always cold and cool.
At one point, Jin was captured by a few crime lords and I had to bail him even though he did not trust me that much. But he was an invaluable partner to me at the time. How could I let him die?
His ass was in the deep frying pan. So, what did I do? Since you work in this line of business now as well Farrah, you might know that blackmailing and dealing secrets is a common thing. So, I used those secrets against those crime lords to black mail them. Not the smartest thing to do, but… hey, he was my partner and I had to do what I needed to get his butt out of the fire.
You should’ve seen us Farrah. We were beating people left and right. Well, Belphegor was mostly. I was just back up and fired the rail gun.
It was also funny how he once asked to shoot the rail gun at him. At first, I thought he was crazy but it turns out to help him escape. The man was purely insane I tell you. But that insanity.. it feels sensational once you witness it yourself.
The best part when working with him was how much of a human he was while being a monster. He has always done things within the limits of his abilities and sometimes a little bit beyond. Which is why he was able to cripple only one of the underworld network.”
“!!! That’s amazing!” Farrah praised.
Hearing such praises, Mammon continued to tell Farrah bits and pieces of … modified stories.
Back inside Mammon’s room…
Jin was lost in thoughts while reading through the files, remembering each file word by word. At the same time, he used the files from the casino boss’ suitcases to cross reference. Hours flew by until it was two o clock in the afternoon. By now, Mammon already opened her business. But Jin was still reading the information in his hand. Eventually, he came by one piece of file.
The very file he was holding were on his own family. His eyes grew solemn as he reads through the papers and in a very slow and thorough manner.
Even though he’d requested documents on his entire family, there were no documentations on him. In the files on his hands, there was not a shred of information on him. Almost like he didn’t existed in the first place. Even in both suitcases, there were no files on him. But that was to be expected. He erased all information on himself a long time ago. He falsified his existence to be unknown. ‘No different from being an invisible man… Heh… I don’t need to be concern by this for now. I’ll read the rest later.’
Jin laid the files on his family down and picked up the next two files. The next files he was holding were about Meracle and her family. He quickly skims through the detailed files and found an interesting thing about Meracle’s father. But more importantly, her entire family and those around her. Jin skipped most of the files he did not needed to read like Meracle’s family for the time being and went on to more important reports on their surrounding people. Files like Jason, Wang Dong and other potential enemies that could be seen in the near future.
The report was overly detailed in both papers that it was almost exactly the same. Jin’s eyes became a bluish silver instead of golden yellow for a time being as it grew more serious while looking at the files. ‘These reports… Only fifty percent is true. Basic age, name, and similar things are true. But the information behind these people… Not… good…’
But the worst of it is on Jason and Wang Dong. The files were clearly modified and some parts hidden in the casino boss’ files he gathered for me. Some sounded absurd. ‘Wang Dong’s penis size 12 inches? Dafuq? Jason born in Nalir? That place doesn’t exist anywhere on the friggin planet even if I circle it twice! And Wang Dong’s age is only twelve? Jason can lift nine thousand pounds? Preposterous!’ Only Mammon’s files were more detailed and accurate. But the casino boss’ files were more wide spread in rumors and more possibilities. In addition, this would mean that both Jason and Wang Dong have powerful people behind them and supporting them. ‘*tch* Pain in my ass… Now, I might have to get rid of them…’
On Mammon’s files, it even showed who supported the two. Highly rich and dangerous people are common in the underworld. But the ones who supported Jason was simply a large community that was almost as big as a 1/10th of a city’s population which is roughly 50,000 people. But among them, those who would really come to his help would only be about a thousand. It was not that much of a surprise because Jason was extremely popular and had a great future due to past achievements like winning the high school football championship, all-star rounder, and he is a good actor as well!
As for Wang Dong, he had a small community but many times wealthier and more dangerous supporting him. ‘Argh…. One is a giant gang banger who has many support and the other is a friggin near crime lord boss level with smaller but stronger support. *Sigh* Why can’t I have a simple job in life…’
The thing about information is that a lot of information could be false while little could be true. Which is why cross reference and trusted information is needed. But all in all, every piece of information could only be true up to seventy percent with a ninety percent of that seventy false. The last thirty percent are for unknown variables such misinformation. Meaning, only seven percent can only be one hundred percent true.
Jin originally took Jason and Wang Dong a little serious. But now that he was re-reading the reports, he had to take them at least half serious now. If he didn’t, he might just die from a simple mistake. But, strangely, Wang Dong’s report was actually more on the nicer side. ‘Something is wrong here and I need to find out what.’
Now that he was thinking back to the day he met Wang Dong, a real evil person would not say such things if they were planning too deeply. It was either that the man was a complete idiot or had a bigger agenda and didn’t want Jin to interfere.
His fear was because of the large amount of people he was going to involve. Even if they did not know Jin, that would not mean that they would not go against him when their little siblings would be in trouble. ‘But let us see if blood is thicker than water’
Jin quickly packs away the suitcases and walked right out.
“Hm? Jin. Where are you-” Mammon was about to ask until she saw his eyes. They changed to a silver blue and radiated a weak and cold silver light.
Jin then calmly asks Mammon, “I’ll be leaving for a while. I left some suitcases inside your room. Take care of my things for me while I am away and don’t let anyone touch them. Even Farrah. Only you can touch them. Aside from that, no one. Understand?”
“Uh…. Sure…” Mammon agreed.
“Alright. Take care now.” He said and quickly walked off into the city. ‘Got to get some metal, a workshop, maybe a house, weapons, and… maybe a new bed… my back really hurts…’
Jin was walking down the street with tired eyes and empty hands and nothing in his pockets but a phone. He looked back at his phone and it reads, “2:15 pm”
As it turns out, he really might not be able to come back if he messed with strong powers. As he sees it, the powers he might be messing with are small fries. But they too had powerful backings with other small powers to become a bigger power. It was indeed an entire network Jin was messing with.
His brain really hurts when he thought of the number of people he was going to fight. Now, Jin’s first priority is to not make any more enemies. Just two could already bring hundreds of people on him.
‘My ass might be in danger… So I have to turn my head away from helping too many people’ He resolutely decided. He continued walking down the streets while making multiple plans on how to deal with the two without showing that he is strong. But most of all, how to end it all on a good note. ‘Oh right… gotta check up on that Diamond woman. Hmmm… Might as well go later on’
Jin felt tired after all that walking and thinking after a while and wanted to rest.
The first place he took a rest at is in a park where there were almost no one around. Only a few children.
‘This might be a good spot to sleep.’ He thought and laid down to close his eyes. Jin could not sleep for a foreboding feeling kept him awake. And that foreboding feeling was right.
There was a disturbance within the air as he could feel someone approaching towards him. Jin opens his eyes to see that a tall person wearing only a long coat went to him. ‘Ngh? What the?’ Jin was still sleepy and didn’t want to wake up.
But in front of him was a dark shadow sticking out. ‘Oh… it is just… wait… !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
Jin instantly rolled away as fast as he could. But the person kept on chasing him with his junk hanging out and shooting dark yellow streams at him. ‘The person looked drunk! Ngh… But it is a hazard…’ Jin groaned. The yellow stuff was just flying all over the place and was getting harder to avoid. ‘Need to do something… I got it.’
The person saw that his target was getting away. He didn’t like it when his target runs. But it was like a game to him so he chased Jin down without restraints.
‘Dear almighty heavens. He really has no fear of shame… Welp… let’s see if you really do have no shame’ Jin inwardly snorted and ran to an empty playground with no children. Jin ran up the slide and the man followed. ‘Alright… kid’s slide is ruined… monkey gym? He might not be able to chase me up there! He should be running out of … stuff soon!’
But Jin was wrong. The man was a master at holding in his bladder. He also knows how to control it as well. The man ran up to aim and shoot at him. ‘What the bloody? Ah!!!!!’ Jin continuously dodged until there was no yellow water coming from him. So the entire jungle gym was soaked in the putrid smell. The man looked sad because he was not able to hit his target. ‘Phew… He must’ve given up by now…’ Jin thought.
Again. Wrong. The old man started to stroke himself. ‘Oh what the *beep!?*’
Jin ran out of the playground and into the city with fear and was going fast down the streets. The man, who was chasing him, went all out to hit his target. The two blazed down the streets pushing through horrified pedestrians, angry cops, and crying children. “Let me shoot you!!!” The dirty man yelled. “Don’t come near me!!! Help!” Jin roared back while running. The two looked like a comedy duo. One screaming for help, one screaming at the one who screamed help. Except, it was not a comedy.
Jin eventually lost the guy when he took alleys after alleys and turns after turns.
Jin wearily walked down the streets. His legs hurted and almost cramped up by walking so far.
His feet wandered and eventually brought him to Rosa’s father’s company. ‘Eh? Why is she here?’
When he saw Rosa’s car and her coming out of it, he wanted to call out. But she had a serious look on her face that he didn’t call out to her. Instead, he lock picked her car and rested in the back seat all the way on the floor instead of the seat. He really wanted to avoid from being seen.
He took a good hour nap before being woken up by a thundering voice. Rosa was running out crying like lightning. ‘What the… Who could have a voice so loud?’
Jin was worried at first because she was crying. But his worries stopped when there were no real tears. ‘Oh… croc tears… should’ve known.’
“So, how is Meracle? She doing well?” Jin made his own presence known. He then had a small talk with Rosa and told Rosa that he was busy and needed an answer by. Afterwards, he left to continue with his business. ‘Ugh… Now back to work. Scraps of metals and weapons… And a bed… Maybe a house… Not a bad way to start the evening after a nap. Just … going to be a pain in my butt…’
