“Oi Jin. You are going to be sent to the netherworld faster if you keep that up ha ha!” Lucians appears laughing right next to me.
“Ah… it’s fine. Seems like they are all in a good mood anyhow. But I do have to say, they all have their own way of showing their affection heh heh” I was certainly surprised at the last girl’s action. It was really unexpected.
‘… He still cannot feel the frigid qi inside his body? Was it too natural?’ Lucian smirked at the thought.
Just then, Lucian felt a huge energy from above. The energy above belongs to those who resides in the upper planes and to heaven above. The energy above felt alive as if it was searching for something.
‘*Tch* Damn. They got here faster than I thought. He wanted to keep things as discreet as possible. He intended to use the frigid qi to camouflage Jin within the soon to be chilly environment. In the morning, the temperature tends to be around the fifty to sixty degrees Fahrenheit. As the day progresses, it would soon reach seventy eight at most. Coupled with the fact that Lucian trained Jin to conceal his real qi to the utmost naturally. Qi can be said to be energy of life. The very source of life. Humans and living beings have natural qi inside continuously circulating throughout their bodies and thus cannot be completely suppressed. It can only weak to the point of being unnoticeable.
Though qi isn’t limited to living beings, it is mostly energy in the world and the world is filled with many different types of energies. The frigid qi was truly meant for Jin to blend in like a cold winter’s breeze.
‘Damn shitty higher plane being… Maybe a being from the third higher plane as well… Pseudo vessel… Also the strength of a messenger of light… Just our luck. Argh…. don’t notice Jin… Don’t make me go out for your ass…’ Lucian prayed. If he really had to go out, then he would. He could eliminate the higher plane being in a half a breath. But that would risk exposing Jin.
Pseudo vessels are just like human vessels or living vessels but more inorganic. Thus it was easier to control without a second conscious inside and was less of a burden than it was borrowing a person’s body.
But then the higher plane being was moving around at break neck speed all of a sudden. Two great energies were battling it out in the skies above. One suddenly sent out a burst of energy and formed a small domain within the skies above. Burst of energies rebounded within the domain like echoes in an empty labyrinth but could not escape. The aftershocks could not escape the domain either.
“What the?’ Lucian eyed the domain and smirked. He recognized the second energy because it felt really familiar and he seen it before. The second energy could be described as calm and more mature than the first that was prideful and full of youthful arrogance.
When Jin left the house, Lucian quietly follows him while looking at the sky. The figure was clear now it was no longer being obstructed by anything. The first figure looked like an angel with a spear of light described in the books of the old testaments with wings and all even though he had the strength of a messenger of light. But this was only a disguise for the higher plane being. The second angel, the real angel of light, only wore a satin white cloak and modest clothes and used only his hands to beat the first figure down. ‘Heh… Thanks old man… glad to see that there are some people who wants Jin to be a paragon of light.’ Lucian was glad that he helped out Jin and could handle things by himself.
But that was what Lucian thought. The old man who acted as Jin’s guardian looked like he was about to win. But forty nine higher plane beings appeared out of nowhere and started to siege the old man who had the power of an angel of light. Each had the equivalent strength of the first higher plane being.
‘Eh… He is still fine…’ Lucian thought to himself. An angel of light can handle fifty messengers of light with no problems. But the feeling of danger twitched inside Lucian’s chest and that instinct was correct.
‘Eh!? What the hell? Are they really using it!?’ Lucian’s heart quivered when he saw the items they held in their hands. The situation was already bad. What was worse was that they carried items that can momentarily boost their strength to the level of an angel of light for a good two minutes.
No matter how strong a person is, being far outnumbered and out strategized is not a good factor in winning an unfair battle. But now the old angel of light had to face fifty messengers of light with the strength of an angel of light.
The old man was instantly pinned down by just fifty angels of light. The forty stabbed him from every possible angles with spears of light. The old man bled out qi profusely and spat out three mouthfuls worth of blood. They then pulled out all forty spears of light and let the last ten to continuously stab and slash the old man to near death and he could still move and fended them off. They fought for hours until the old man was trembling from fatigue.
“As expected, a real angel of light has high endurance! But it shall not matter in the next few seconds old man!” One of the fifty higher plane beings roared. ‘Sh*t! I forgot that for an angel to intervene on earth, they have to take an earthly vessel. If he dies, then the angel could die as well!!!' Lucian forgotten a simple fact that he’d known for a long time. Heaven does not allow normal interventions on material planes because everything on the material planes could be screwed with just the appearance of a being of a higher plane. Thus, the higher planes beings needed vessels to limit their interference in the material planes.

Thus living vessels and pseudo vessels are used to go down in the world below in order to keep a watch over the world. Should a being of the higher planes out stay the time limit or trespasses the boundaries by the laws of the world, he or she could be brought back and punished. But at second worst, their souls would be damaged and reformed without any karma or memories or blessings and would have to earn it back by many reincarnations. This was a higher plane beings’ and heaven inhabitants’ deaths. Be it one from the higher plane or even from heaven or hell. But the worst is when a higher being is killed by another higher plane being. When he or she is killed and turned into damaged souls that leaks energy and that very energy flows back into the world but at worst consumed by the killer if not left decimated and never to be reformed. It would go back into the origin until it is needed to be used again.
The old man above thought that he was dead the spears of light slashed his left arm and opened a giant cut revealing the inner organs. One of the beings lunges forward and aimed at the old man’s head. But the spear did not reach but stopped just two inches away from the old man’s forehead. The fifty higher plane beings were no longer moving. Their body were frozen in the domain like statues affected by inertia. The whole domain that the old man was in turned blue and froze everything except him in it.
“I’m alive?” The old man surely thought he was dead. He looked around to see what could have possibly happened to cause this domain to transform into a frozen wonder land just now. But he could not see anything. There were no signs of a person helping the old man. “Who is this man? He could freeze everything within the domain I created in an instant! They had the power of an angel of light and thus it was harder to freeze these beings in place!” The old man muttered.
*Snap* and just like that, the sound of a finger snap resounded in the air and all fifty beings died within their pseudo vessels. The pseudo vessels crumbled and unveiled the higher plane beings’ souls. Fifty souls in total and each had the strength of a messenger of light. But because they no longer have a vessel and died within the vessels, those souls died as well and their souls decimated. But just then, hands of white darkness trapped those damaged souls and converted them into pure energy. The hands of white darkness quickly slaps both the front and the back of the old man and also wrapped itself around the bleeding wounds to heal the old man. Those hands quickly disappeared as soon as they came and did not leave a trace.
The old man was astonished at the mysterious savior and clasped his hands in respect and bowed out of gratitude. He was unsure of what culture this mysterious savior belonged to but he knew that a lot of religions had one thing in common and that was respect by bowing. “I thank you for saving my life as well as this old man’s life. Should fate ever dictates for us to meet again, I’ll be sure to repay the favor” the old man said respectfully and left with a quick flicker of light.
“*Sigh* Damn old man. If you do things, make sure you have a plan a, 2, and delta and all the way to the last alphabet and numbers in every language and scripts. You can’t protect Jin with that half ass power the heavens gave you. Nonetheless I am grateful for your protection over Jin all these years. So let us call this even.” Lucian said from a distance where Jin could not hear him. Lucian kept patrol of the area just in case if such higher plane beings were still around. He did not want the slightest danger to affect Jin’s growth no matter how small. Lucian sighed at the tiring work. ‘This is a crucial moment for Jin. I hope you higher plane bastards are going to let us go…’ He whimpers inwardly. But to further conceal Jin, he even created a small domain around Jin to keep his qi from leaking out or to ever be found. ‘There. That should do it.’ Lucian thought. The use of qi really burnt out a lot of his energy and he felt exhausted. But he could not stop now.
Lucian continues to go around and guarded Jin carefully with all his effort. When he was sure that there was no one that could be a possible danger, Lucian returned into Jin’s mind and took a good long rest without saying a thing to the other shadowy figures. Ren nor Ban even want to bother the guy because they knew how hard he worked so they let him rest for a while. This time, it was Ban who took the reins of guardian and watches over Jin diligently.
Jin did not even notice the event that had just occurred. He was going around using the volunteer system and was more busy trying to avoid the women that the store owners were trying to introduces to him. There were many women hitting on him on this day than he had ever been hit on in his entire life. It was just that Jin was not interested in them. All this made his volunteer work harder and he had to work much faster. But luckily, he was repaid well with all his efforts until it was one hour after noon. Jin finally finish keeping his promise and now was trying to search for a real job than just volunteering. He knew that he could not continue to do this forever. Thus he must find himself a job at some point.
