Currently, both Jin and Darius is being interviewed by Meracle’s mother in a different room with only two chairs on each side and one table in the middle with the table having three drawers to hold a lot of things. It was the splitting image of an interrogation room that would only be thought to be seen in movies. Jin and Darius sat on one side while the mother sat on the other side.
Leah Cross, a woman with sunny blonde hair and light complexion was around forty but looked like she was in her late twenties. Faint lines of wrinkles around her faces were visible but that was not surprising. She gave birth to many children and raised a lot of them to be grown adults.
“Allow me to introduce myself first. I’m Leah Cross. Mother of eight and the person you two are trying to persuade. I don’t need for the two of you to reintroduce yourselves because I don’t care what names the two of you use. Why? Because I will blow your heads off if I find out that one of my daughters are crying and your grave stones will not have names. By the way, Meracle’s old boyfriend Johnson or something. I blew a bullet in his right shoulder when I last saw him which was about…. two days ago asking me where Meracle lives.
Among many things, the two of you mysterious street walkers have to get my consent before you are allowed to date, marry, inappropriately touch, or even f*ck them. Meaning, get through me, you get to my daughters.” She sternly states. “I’ll tell you now that I am not an easy person to persuade.” She then gave Darius a quick glance and return to the normal stern attitude.
Jin had an amused look on his face. ‘Oh? He already got a head start? … Not that I care. My only goals is to bring Meracle back to her family being a little closer and prove that I am a better boyfriend. Beating Darius…. Not my problem. Don’t care what happens to Ophelia. But I need to get her attention.’ He went into his first duffle bag and pulled out a wine bottle. “Can I ask for your trust with this thirty year old bottle of Blue Tears?”
Leah looked slightly annoyed. “You expect that to work on me? … Boy, in this world you can’t get everything you want with just money. I’m going to make sure of that. Also, didn’t I tell you to leave some wine for me?”
Jin went into his second duffle bag and pulled out an old locked wooden box and laid it on the table. He undid the locks and pulls out an amber bottle with a green label that reads, “Green Flash of the Sun” and showed Meracle’s mother the bottle. “Then how about a forty year old wine bottle of Green Flash to get your attention?”
“!!!” Leah’s expression did not change on the outside, but inside she was thoroughly shocked. A forty year old aged wine bottle was hard to find because wine tastes better with age. In addition for being a forty year old aged wine, the bottle name was “Green Flash of the Sun” which was also made by a famous wine maker who saw the sun flashing green twice. “I thought you only carried one wine bag. Why do you have a forty year old wine? N-Never mind that! Put that bottle away and stop trying to bribe me!”
Jin looked at the wine bottle in his hand and smiled. “Eheh… I carry a lot of surprises Ms. Cross. I just don’t want to show all of it yet. But… hearing that you said money cannot buy everything in this world, and I have to agree, I’d have to retract my offer and put away this bottle for now~” Jin laid the green flask back into its wooden box. Picking it up and unzipping his bag, and tucks away the precious wine.
Leah tried her best to keep the calm face. ‘It’s fine. Just a wine bottle that is forty years old. Also precious as well. On the market, it cost a few hundred thousand D which I can buy after a few years…. Maybe decades… but even then it will be ten years at most…’ Leah bit the bottom of her lip in bitterness as the wine bottle goes back slowly into the bag. “Well then, I guess I should start the test…”
Leah Cross face turned serious and pulled out a note book.
The two males faces looked confused.
“What’s that for Miss Cross?” Jin asked.
“Oh? this? This is to record the two of you.” Leah said. “I want to know everything about the two of you and it must be documented on paper.”
She started to mumble a few words before turning to the two men. “Alright. Let’s start with you…. Jin, what is your full name, age, occupation and birth date.”
“I’m not going to tell all that to you.” Jin answered plainly. ‘I really don’t have a reason to tell her
The moment Jin refused to answer, Leah instantly got irritated. “Hm? Why not? I’m Meracle’s mother. Why can’t you tell me your full name, age, occupation and birthdate?”
“hmmmmm. Because I don’t want to? Heh heh” Jin put on a smile to ease the tension. Unfortunately, it didn’t work and it only got her madder.
Why was it that Meracle’s mother wanted Jin’s personal information? It was because she heard from the aunt that even the network that she had could not even find out who Jin was.
Thus she wanted to unveil the mystery behind Jin’s true identity. She wanted to know who Jin was, who he is currently, and who he was going to be should he marry her daughter. “If I do approve of you, and we are going to be family soon, I don’t want any secrets between us. This goes for you Darius.”
“Yeah Jin. Why don’t you want to? Can’t you trust your girlfriend’s mother?~” Darius, who was on the side, mocked him. “Don’t worry ma’am. Unlike him, I have confidence in telling you my personal information.”
“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” An evil laugh rang out. Jin was holding his stomach at what he was hearing.
“What’s so funny?” Leah sternly ask. She was witnessing a different side to Jin. A while ago, Jin was all prim and proper. But now, he sounded exactly like a mad man.
“Don’t want any secrets? Family? Trust!? My girlfriend’s mother asks for all of my secrets to be handed before I enter?” Jin fixed his posture and in a way, gave a strange yet noble demeanor as if he looked down on both Leah and Darius. “Alright then. I’ll give it to you.”
Jin got up, walked along the walls of the room, and continuously tapping on various spots of the walls. “*Tap*Tap*Tap*Tap”
“H-Hey!” Leah shouted out.
Jin came to a peculiar wall that made a strange sharp sound when he tapped it. “Oh ho? Is it this one?” He turns back to Meracle’s mother and smiled. “Indeed there should be no secrets Miss Cross. However, I rather not trust those who keeps secrets from me.”
Darius had a dumb look on his face. He could not understand what was going on. He was completely left out of the loop.
Leah Cross bit the bottom of her lip. “That still doesn’t change anything. I still have to give my approval of whether or not you are fit for my daughter.”
Jin’s smile disappeared and switched to an amused poker face. The face that he would use when it comes to business. ‘On the contrary Miss Cross, it does.’
Darius could feel a strange shiver going down his spine. The exact same feeling he felt when he first met Jin.
“Let’s begin shall we? Since you called me first, I’ll answer. My name is Jin Kai Zhao. Occupation: Doctor. Age: just got to adulthood. Date of birth? Unrelated.”
Jin’s answers made Meracle’s mother face twitch so violently that the faint wrinkles on her face became more visible. There was no way she could believe that Jin was a doctor. No matter how good he was, there was rarely a real doctor below the age of 21. Moreover, Jin answered that he just got to adult hood so he should be no older than twenty. A real doctor should have at least six to eight years of medical knowledge and earn himself or herself a degree before proclaiming to be a doctor.
“So you don’t like to tell everything huh? … Fine. I’ll get your date of birth from Meracle and all the other informations! Humph!” Leah snorted as she writes down on the note book. “Now you Darius!”
“Y-Yes ma’am! I’m Darius Oakley. Age: 25. Occupation: Bank manager. Date of birth: the eighth of Nindas in the year 6364”
“WOW! So young! And a bank manager? Impressive!” She exclaims as she writes down the Darius’ information.
“Heh… I guess I am young. I’m pretty honest as well heh heh.” Darius bragged. ‘Too bad he is too stupid to lie… But… I can’t help but to feel a little uneasy about my lie.’
Indeed Darius should be uneasy. Jin did not pay attention to the lie. If Jin wanted to blow Darius to smithereens right now just by exposing one lie, he would. But his intentions is to rid of Darius completely and should not be used for something so trivial.
Once Meracle’s mother was done writing, she looked at Darius with expectations in her eyes. “Alright. Next question. How did you meet Ophelia Darius?”
Darius scratched the back of his head and embarrassingly answered, “I met Ophelia drunk in a bar. She was… very violent once she was drunk.”
“*Pfft!*”Darius’ answer unexpectedly got Jin to snort a bit.
“… What’s so funny” Leah Frowned.
“Ah… Nothing…” Jin quickly fixed himself before he embarrass himself.
“… Well, That’s not a bad way to meet Ophelia.” She nodded her head and then turned to Jin. “Now, how did you meet my daughter Meracle?”
Although it didn’t show, Jin was overly nervous because he didn’t want to answer it. He stayed silent for a long time while thinking of the best way to answer.

“Well?” Leah urged Jin to speak.
‘How did I meet her exactly? All I remember is that she was the girl who liked to cosplay a lot… But how….’ Jin tried to recall the memories to the best of his abilities.
Leah turned her head and eyed the silent person she was asking. “What’s wrong?”
Leah’s words interrupted Jin’s train of thought and snapped him back to reality.
“… Nothing. I just did not want to admit that I met Meracle under the pouring rain while trying to steal her clothes. Shamefully…”
“… Did I hear right?” The corner of Leah’s mouth rose up and twitch in disgust.
“mhm. Dog was chasing me. Hid in a trash can naked. You already know that the police would use any excuse to extort money out of a person. Of course, nakedness could be interpreted as me being an exhibitionist. So, I had to find clothes.” Jin casually answered.
“Y-You met my daughter while trying to steal her clothes?”
“Mhmmmmm. Also, she shot me multiple times with a BB gun. Boy did that hurt. Why did she shoot me? Aside from me trying to steal her clothes, she was overly drunk and mad.” Jin continuously to reply in a casual manner. He waved his hand in a circular motion to signal the mother to continue to the next question.
“… This is one question that Darius won by a mile…” Leah said as she scribbles a few things down. “Alright. Third question. How strong are you guys?”
“Oh! How strong I am? Well ma’am. I-” Darius strangely stopped for an unknown reason. He looked sideways to see that Jin was still acting silent and let Darius answer.
“Hm? How strong are the two of you? I want to know if my daughters are in good hands. *Tap*Tap*Tap*” She said with a smile.
“As resilient as a tree.” Jin flatly answered.
“… I didn’t ask how sturdy you were. I asked how strong you were.” She strongly emphazises. Meracle’s mother couldn’t stand it. One after another, Jin never gave an answer that satisfied her questions. “You are going to give me a good answer young man!”
“Sure.” Jin shrugged “I have the strength of ten men, I can take the beating of ten men, and I am as dangerous as ten men.” This was the truth. Not the literal truth nor was it the one hundred percent truth, but the “truth” Jin stated all the same. ‘I exaggerated a little… I actually use qi to have the strength of ten average men… but I think that counts… I mean, ten grown men are heavy as a giant boulder if not more…’
For a long time, not a person spoke another word. The other two were speechless. Darius looked shocked and all but Leah looked like she just smelled something so bad that it twisted her face and turned all wrinkly with veins popping on her head. She glanced over to Darius and asked, “Do you believe this?”
Darius furiously shook his head. He dared not to answer. If Jin really had the strength of ten men, which even he did not want to test, then Darius was screwed from the start and that mocking Jin, even if it was a little, means that he’s about to become dead meat should this day end.
“… *BANG!* LIES! LIES! LIES! I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!” In a fit of anger, Leah threw the book she held in her hands right at Jin’s face.
What got her angrier was that Jin did not dodge at all. He took the book to the face and smiled like a madman. “Mmm mmm mmm I think I felt something. Oh wait… I think that was the spine. Hahahaha.”
A warning to all. This is something no one would do if they meet their date’s parents.
Jin kept on laughing in Leah’s and Darius’ faces. It was almost like he was disrespecting them, which he was, but intentionally.
“Y-Y-Y-You!!!!!!” Leah climbed and flew across the table to grab Jin by the neck and strangle him. She shook him violently while digging her nails into his neck. “Y-Y-You!!!! Bastard!!!!”
But while she was strangling Jin, Jin himself was still laughing out loud like a lunatic. “Ahahahahahaha. Ah ha ha ha ha!!!! AAAAAAH HA HA HA HA!!!!! MORE! MORE! KEKEKEKEKE.”
The moment Darius saw that Leah was climbing over the table, he was already in a far corner of the room to get away from Leah’s clutches. ‘Oh my god! This man is insane! Never mind the guy! Ophelia’s mother is insane! I think I should give up while I am still alive…’
‘What the hell!? I know I am stronger than the average woman. Why the hell isn’t this guy unconscious yet!? Forget it. I’ll just have to tighten my grip!’ *Squeeze* As her grip got tighter, Jin’s laughs got louder. It got to a point where she was about to claw his vocal chords out until….
*POP*
Something pops loudly and an object flew upward, hitting Leah on her forehead. “Ahhhhhhhh!!!” Leah held her head in pain as she falls on her back on the table. “!!! WHY YOU- !!!! *Glup*Glup*Koff*Koff*”
Jin quickly peg her flat on the table and shoves an object into her mouth to shut Leah up. “There there baby. Take my juice filled with love~.”
What was the object he shoved into Meracle’s mother’s mouth? …. A simple, cheap wine bottle.
‘What was wine? … fermented fruits… So it was considered juice… Alcoholic juice… Meh… not my problem if she chokes… I can do CPR.’
“*Koff*Koff* Jin you bastard!!! *Glup*Glup*Koff*Koff*” After a few more complaints, Meracle’s mother fainted from overdose of alcohol and was lucky not to die.
Darius, who was still in the corner, stayed there for a while. ‘I can’t get involved with this guy! I have to get out!’ So he tried to sneak out which didn’t work. From above, a great blow struck him on the neck, knocking him into dream land.
“*Sigh*…… Oh man… That’s a few years off my life. I can’t believe I had to use a ten year old bottle of wine for that… Well… Thankfully I switched the “Green Flash” label with a cheap wine label… Time to enact plan B…” Jin stretched his stiff back as he waited for the right people to come. At the same time, Jin reached inside one of his bag to wear a colorful mask along with setting a small bomb on a timer. “3… 2… 1… thirty two point one seconds!”
*BANG!* "Oh... so it was a double sided mirror in here... go figure..." Jin mutters unsurprisingly.
Meracle’s father came barging in through the door with fists raised. “!!!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY WI-”
In one smooth and quick motion, he not only got through the father’s fists, he also chopped the guy’s neck, knocking him out as well before the father could fnish the sentence. *CHOP* “Oh shut up…” Jin muttered when he avoided Meracle’s father’s fists.
Ophelia, who was behind her dad and saw everything, ran to get a gun.
‘… Nope… not gonna get my ass blown…” Jin’s body flew down the hallway just to catch Ophelia. 'I knew Meracle's entire family is crazy, but this is over the limit for me...'
Though Ophelia was fast, Jin was faster. Physically, Jin was built to run compared to Ophelia who was built to fight. There was no way Ophelia could get away and get a gun in time.
“Oh no you don’t!!!” Seeing that she could not out run Jin, Ophelia turned right back around to fight back under the pretense of self-defense.
*Chop* “*Sigh* You’re a little too slow to go against me Ophelia…” Jin sighed loudly.
*Click*Click*Click*Click*Click*Click*
The clicks of eight guns aimed at Jin's head.
‘I can’t believe this…’ Jin groaned on the inside. He predicted a lot of things already and knew who was behind him. “… *Sigh*… Ania!!! That won’t work on me. Tell your aunt to also stop as well along with the little kittens. I already assumed that you guys gave the children special training…”
“… Your ears are really sharp. But do you honestly believe you won’t die if there is six guns pointing at you!?”
“Eight! Eight!” Two young girls cried out.
“Ah yes… Eight… Do you honestly believe that you can escape!?” Ania aimed carefully.
“… Do you guys want to see your entire house light up like a winter holiday tree should I die?” Jin replied back to her threat.
“*GASP* !!!? You set up bombs!?” Meracle gasped in shock.
Meracle was the only one person he did not really account for in pointing the gun at him. He was sure that Ania was holding up two guns.
“!!! Wait Meracle! I was just-“ Just when Jin was about to speak, a low hissing sound came from one of Jin’s duffle bags. “… Oops… Too late…” A sudden burst of smoke burst from the bag and also knocked out everyone except Jin. “… What can I do now… Gotta move on with the plans… *Sigh*…”
