As we walk into the Magecraft building, I feel the eyes of the creepy three leave me and I loosen my grip on Lilith's hand.
We walk in and already see Hanz, Greta, Thia, and Julian all sitting at their own table with two extra seats for us.
Now that I think about it I don't think I've ever seen Lilith sit in a chair.
Lilith:"Really that's what youre thinking about?"
Dorian:"Hey I need to get my mind off our previous topic. Anyways it seems we have a new teacher." I say as I look towards the chalk board and see the new teacher who seems to be an ethereal being.
???:"Hello students, I am Sir Reginald. As you can see I am not entirely here at the moment as I am currently in Hell working on a project for lord Lucifer. What you see here is an astral projection.
Oh ok. I thought he was a wraith or something.
Reginald:"Now as you all are aware, I'm filling in for your former teacher Legitimus. The one who is now a cripple due to your classmate Dorian.
Dorian:"Hi everybody." I say while waving around.
Reginald:"Yes, how quaint. Now today's lesson will be on basic mana formation and gathering."
RandomPlebguy1:"But we already know that, if we didn't we wouldn't have been able to be accepted Into the school."
Reginald:"Yes, you know your way. But there are multiple ways to go about forming mana formations for spells. Some people use equations, runes, catalysts such as wands, or even the imagination. Each technique comes with its own intricacies. Take equations and runes for example. Unless one is well practiced in them, they are known to be the slowest ways, but also the most powerful to create spells. While using catalysts such as wands and staves usually just require you to circulate mana through them while saying an incantation. Magitech is also another type of catalyst. Excluding the magitech, unless the wand or stave is expertly crafted, the spells through catalysts will actually tend to be the weakest due to the fact they're a crutch for the less magically gifted."
RandomPlebguy1:"Then what about those who use the imagination for spell casting and formation?"
Reginald:"Now that is both a complicated and easy answer. Very paradoxical. What I mean by that is it's entirely based of natural talent and understanding. Some people use magic like they're moving their own hand. Others struggle like they're pushing a boulder up a hill. Take young Dorian for example. From what I've heard, he didn't know how to form lightning with mana until he got hit with it. He had an already in depth uderstanding to the formation of lightning through science, but not through magic. He didn't use equations, runes, or a catalyst, unless you count his body. Dorian is what's known as a savant." I do hope he doesn't mean an idiot savant." Granted it wasn't exactly the smartest thing to absorb lightning from another prodigy such as miss Tabitha. But he still made it work."

Dorian:"Glad to know I rank so high in you're eyes Doc." I say in a sarcastic voice.
Reginald:"I meant no offense."
Dorian:"I know, I'm just giving you a hard time"
Reginald:"Oh that reminds me, for those of you who were worried about class ranking with the whole sparring and duels thing, you don't have to worry. I don't practice such barbaric lessons. They don't serve to improve, only to impede. I'd rather you all learn without the fear of reprisal from being below anyone. How the teacher Legitimus even got the okay for such things baffles me." This guy seems like an alright teacher.
Especially cause he could see the flaws in such practices.
Reginald:"Now for now I want you all to practice using your imagination to form spells. Who knows, you might come up with something original."
Heh, original, yeah right.
If I'm being honest none of the stuff in pop- culture nowadays is original. Everything has been seen and done.
Though guess any spells from literature and art in my world would be considered original here.
What to start with?
.....
.........
Ah, a mana blade.
Can't just be any old blade of mana though, it should be able to cut through almost anything. Even mana itself.
I could make it a monomonecular blade. It should also vibrate at a high frequency. It could even use different elements.
Well wait should it? If it cuts through even mana then I shouldn't need different elements.
It should also use all three energies if I want it to have as much power in it as possible.
An Arcane blade? Nah, but possible based off of it. Maybe even rip it off.
I put out my hand in a fist and form the force into a blade form, like a Protoss energy blade. Then I fill the outer layer with mana and the rest with ki.
After that I use the Force to compress both energies together Into a thinner blade and keep compressing until I can barely see or sense the energy.
Dorian:"I feel like something is missing from it. I haven't even gotten a notification."
I get a feeling pulling from deep within. Almost as if my very being is pushing into the compression of energy.
*slice*
I see the table in front of all of us slice in half and fall apart as a blade blacker than the void but surrounded by a white aura is around my fist.
Congradulations, you created the skill Soul Reaver.
Soul Reaver is a skill that cuts through anything, even the very fabic of being. This skill was created with 4 of the energies that make up existence. It can even evolve by adding more types of energy such as *redacted*. This skill is always at max level.
Mana, Ki, Force, and Soul manipulation have all leveled up 5 times.
Did I just cheat existence?
