As me and Beatrice charge towards each other I cover my fists and body inside flames and lightning. As I cover myself however, I see Beatrice deform and expand into a wave of slime.

Beatrice slams into me like a truck and I feel myself lose focus and my fire and lightning dispel.

Quickly realising that she is going to try and suffocate me, I try to use the Force to separate myself from her main mass.

Trying to Force my way out, I form a coating of Force to actually keep her off my skin, and then I force push myself away from the ground and pull myself towards the top of a building.

Finally in temporary flight, I feel resistance as Beatrice tries to pull me back in. I start to feel my chest tighten due to lack of air and Beatrice pulling down on me.

I finally get free of Beatrice and land on top of a nearby rooftop, about 18 stories up.

Good to know I can give myself temporary flight by pushing and pulling with the Force.

Force manipulation has leveled up.

Looking back down I spot Beatrice reforming back to humanoid form.

Beatrice:"What's wrong Dorian?! I though we were gonna fight!"

Dorian:"What happened to the timid slime girl? Don't get too cocky girly, I'll figure out how to take ya down."

I thought slimes were supposed to be easy to fight. Fucking lightnovels and games lied.

If it was easy she would evaporated the moment she hit me.

Trying to think of how to stay out of range but still kill her will be difficult, obviously a quick burn won't take her down, so I need to prolong it in a way without taking to much energy. She'd more likely win in a battle of attrition.

As I look back down I spot her splitting and expanding as she climbs her way up using window sills of the building.

I focus mana in my hand in the shape of a javelin, I then use fire and lightning mana to fully shape the spear. I focus a pocket of ki into the tip of the spear.

Dorian:"Hey Beatrice." I call down and she stops and looks up.

Beatrice:"What?"

Dorian:"Praise the Sun." I say and throw down my sunlight spear at her.

Mana and ki manipulation have leveled up three times.

As I throw the spear, i see her face turn into shock as she literally gets shocked and see her explode into a blue rain.

Dorian:"Well.... that was anticlimactic." I say as I drop back down to ground level.

Well now what do I do. There is no way anyone left in the city didn't hear the shooting and the fight just now.

If I was the last one shouldn't i be back outside the mindscape?

Am I stuck?

*third person pov*

Little did Dorian know, he was definitely not the last one alive. All around him were pieces of Beatrice converging towards him.

As Dorian sits down on the side of the sidewalk, blue slime was coming out from the gutters below him and slowly going up the back of his jacket towards his head, slowly reforming into a head, shoulders, and pair of arms.

Beatrice slowly reaches her hands towards the sides of Dorians head and she moves in closer .

*End pov*

Beatrice:"Hello there." I hear a voice whisper into my ear and turn towards it.

I see Beatrice there and before I can react she kisses me.

Lilith won't be happy one bit.

I feel Beatrice slip her tongue into my mouth and her head expands to cover mine as I feel her melting me from the inside.

Dorian:*Muffled Screaming and suffocating noises*

As I lose consciousness from pain and lack of air I see a notification.

Hold breath has leveled up.

Fuck you.

*Fades to black*
