CHAPTER 9: The Psycho's Beating

CHAPTER 9: The Psycho's Beating

Levi was holding a bag containing the items he had purchased. He proceeded to put on the earrings and bracelet. Upon checking his status, he noticed some changes:

[

Agility: 95 -> 105

Luck: G

]

]The Fang earrings had a positive impact on his agility, but there was no noticeable effect on his luck from the Starluck bracelet. He hung the bag on a branch slowly climbed down from the tree and sneaked to the goblins.

'Both of them hold clubs and are E-rank. I can't fight them both without getting hurt.'

Levi then used one of the oldest tricks in the book. He picked up a rock and threw it at a tree to create a distraction.

'Now one of them will go and check.'

That did not happen. Both of the goblins walked to the tree and checked if something was there. His luck was at its finest.

Levi had reservations about deploying the smoke bombs, preferring to keep them for a more critical moment. He was confronted with the challenge of battling both goblins simultaneously.

He aimed his knife at one of the goblin's heads.

Levi's abilities were already in motion. He swiftly hurled a knife, which promptly penetrated the head of one of the goblins. Thanks to the bonuses from his items, skills, and essence, the attack was a critical hit.

After defeating the first goblin, Levi quickly turned his attention to the second one. He charged towards it, causing the goblin to realize its companion had been defeated. However, it was too late as Levi had already retrieved the club from the deceased goblin. With the weapon in hand, Levi swiftly struck the other goblin's neck, taking it down as well.

*Thwack*

The goblin fell on its knee and started coughing. Levi did not stop there. He again raised his club and hit the goblin in its head. [Essence] again did the work and it was a critical hit. Blood spurts out from the goblin's broken skull as its lifeless body falls to the ground.

Levi looked at the two goblins in front of him.

'I don't feel anything.'

He did not feel any sort of remorse or pleasure in killing those goblins.

'Oh so I killed them.' was the only reaction he had. He had expected to feel "disgusted" or "guilty" but his heart did not waver at the sight of killing.

Once he killed the goblins, Levi walked to their corpses and kneeled. In the game, if the mob were killed, the bodies would turn to dust and a mana stone would drop but that was not the case in the real world. He had to dissect the goblin and extract the mana core from the stomach.

He pierced the goblin's stomach with the knife and started to scoop out its organs. He had never done this before and barely got the stone out.

He did the same to the other goblin and got the mana stone. Blood was all over his hand, it was all slimy and messy. If anyone saw it, they would think it was the work of cruel beasts playing with goblins.

Levi still felt nothing despite his actions. He knew his heart would never be filled, but part of him longed for normalcy. He yearned to truly love his parents instead of just going through the motions. He longed for genuine friendships, but he never grasped what friendship truly meant. Ultimately his heart was like a broken glass, no matter how hard he tried to fill a cracked glass with it would always leak out.

He did not ponder about his emotions too much and walked away. Those two mana stones would be enough for him to create the mana cigarettes.

"If I go with the recipe then I could make ten of those."

He was about to go out when he noticed two other goblins as well.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

'Well, it won't hurt to have more.'

Levi then killed those two goblins the same way he had killed the previous one and extracted their mana stones. He did not become too greedy and went back to the secret hole where he came from.

Levi executed the same tap dance and exited the space. However, before leaving, he retrieved the Cleanse magic scroll and tore it open. The paper radiated a brilliant glow that enveloped his body. The spell effectively eradicated any blood stains and unpleasant odours from his garments.

Before going to the academy, he purchased some groceries and placed them in the same bag as the smoke bomb to conceal it. He reasoned that if anyone inspected his bag and noticed the weapons, he would need to provide a thorough explanation.

After walking for forty minutes, he arrived at the academy and heard someone call him as he approached the dorm section.

"Yo freak."

Levi did not want to turn but what option did he have? He put on his "shy and scared" act and looked at the person calling him. A hand wrapped around Levi's neck.

"You did not come to our usual gathering. I was really sad. More than me Jack was really worried about why you did not come today."

The person next to him said in a mocking tone.

Levi was in a class with a guy whose name he didn't know. The mere mention of the name "Jack" made Levi's body tremble with fear. Although Seiko had never felt afraid in his life, Levi from the past certainly did, and his body still remembered that fear. Levi now was different after all his body was owned by a psychopath.

The man forcibly led Levi to an unoccupied classroom where he was confronted by three other individuals. One of them was lying on the ground covered in spilled milk while the other two were amused by the spectacle.

"Oh, Jack who it is. Our best "friend" Levi. That professor must have done something to do after all her body is not something a man can resist."

The guy with milk all over his body bit his lips in anger. If he tried to refute then he would be the one who would get beaten again. Helpless....that was one word that was enough to describe him.

Jack noticed the victim's clear anger. He stepped on his head and pressed it as hard as he could.

"Do you feel angry when we talk about your older sister like that? It's your sister's fault for having such a seducing body."

Jack said as he stopped his cruel ac. He then walked towards Levi. Jack was the biggest student in size in their classroom. He was also ranked #50 in the whole academy. As he got near Levi, he continued to speak calmly. He looked at the bag Levi was carrying and saw some groceries in it.

" Aren't you a diligent boy? You bought some chips for me."

Jack pulled out a bag of chips and tore it open. But little did anyone know, there were bombs hidden beneath it. Levi was well aware of what would happen next. Jack would take out a chip, chew it, and spit it at him before violently attacking him. The other two would then join in and leave him in the same state he was in before he migrated.

Levi had two choices: One accept the beating. Second fight. Levi did not care if he was hit. He did not feel pain, anger.....anything but he could try to fight the three bullies and beat them.

'If I can't win against them, then I have no chance of surviving tomorrow's attack. '

Jack ate a single chip as Levi predicted. Before he could spit it, Levi punched Jack in the solar plexus.

"Bam"

The world stopped for Jack. He did not see that attack coming and did not have his defence up. Jack kept looking at Levi and blood slowly trickled out from his mouth.

He barely held on to a desk after falling. The other bullies were shocked, but they quickly rushed towards Levi. on by holding onto a desk. The other bullies were shocked as well but they acted immediately. They rushed towards Levi.

The guy behind him threw a punch, and Levi managed to barely dodge it. He grabbed the guy's head, pulled it down and kneed him in the face.

*Crack*

The sound of the bone in his nose breaking was heard. His body got weak and before he could gain any composure, Levi punched him in the face again knocking him out.

Then the other guy was enchanting some sort of magic. Casting magic in the academy outside the training grounds or without supervision was banned but he did not care. How could a guy who bullies people to such a degree care about the consequences of breaking one of the school rules?

Levi rushed towards him and threw a kick in his face. The kick connected and his neck twisted like a plastic bottle.

*Bam*

The guy fell sideways and even hit his head on the table when he fell making him unconscious as well. Levi then looked at Jack. Jack was also looking back at him but he was still holding onto the table.

Jack wanted to stand up and attack but the pain in his gut was too much. He immediately lost all strength in his body. Sweat was forming in his face. He was scared of Levi.

'How did he get so strong? Why was he hiding his strength until now?'

"It was never my intention to hurt you, Levi. It was just a joke. You know how friends joke around. I may have gone a bit too far sometimes but in the end, I am a child, and I too make mistakes. Forgive me just this time..okay?"

Levi did not say anything cause he never considered himself his enemy but in the past Levi did.

' You think you make mistakes so much that a person's body shakes when they hear your name. I do not have any enmity towards you but the past Levi did and as thanks to him for lending me his body, I am gonna have to scare you for life.'

Jack was even more scared now. His body was trembling, his breath was rapid, his mouth felt dry and he felt something leak from his lower half. Levi's bang moved a bit because of the wind. He saw Levi's eyes and noticed the change in them. He was now even more beautiful, strong, confident and something that should not exist within a human.....or in the entire universe.

*Gulp*

'I have to run.'

Jack was unable to move as Levi stood in front of him, grabbing his hair and looking at him menacingly.

"Jack I am a "I'm still young and learning, just like a kid. It's great to have you as my friend. You've taught me so much, and I'm grateful for that. I do have a tendency to take my jokes too far sometimes, so I apologize in advance," Levi said, his grin turning mischievous.

At that moment Jack knew....he had fucked up.
