As Liza continued her explanation about how Moxie and Insanity needed to train and work together, Insanity saw his moment. In a split second, he broke out of the bubble that had confined him, grinning as he charged toward Liza. Moxie watched, unsure of what to expect. But just as Insanity was only a few steps away, his body suddenly gave out, and he collapsed to the floor, vomiting blood.
Liza didn’t flinch. With an exasperated sigh, she walked over and calmly stepped on Insanity’s head, a sharp crack echoing through the room. “You really are an idiot, aren’t you?” she mocked, applying pressure to his skull.
Insanity gritted his teeth in pain, unable to move. “You thought you could kill me in this state?” Liza continued, holding up a holographic x-ray scan of Insanity’s body. “Look at you. Ribs shattered, arms fractured, organs barely holding together. And your head… you were already broken long before you even tried.”

Moxie, who had been watching in silence, felt a shiver run down his spine. He had known his cousin was strong, but this side of her—the cold, calculating cruelty—was something he had never seen. He shook slightly, realizing just how far out of his depth even he was at times.
As Liza continued to press down on Insanity, a pair of guards entered the room to restrain him. Despite his injuries, Insanity managed to kill two of them in a frenzy of bloodlust before being subdued again, placed back in the containment bubble.
Liza dusted her hands off, looking at Moxie with a raised eyebrow. “You need to get stronger too,” she said coldly. “Because the next time he tries something like that, I might not be able to stop him.”
Moxie clenched his fists, unsure whether to fear Insanity or his own cousin more.
