Chapter 1-3: Prelude to the Hunt

The day before Moxie, Insanity, and Liza could reach the city, the forces of Heaven had already made their move. The god of creation, veiled in the radiant lights of Heaven, summoned Michael, the strongest and commander of the angels. In a voice that shook the heavens themselves, the god spoke of a threat—beings far beyond humanity's limits—walking the Earth. These threats, if left unchecked, could grow to rival the gods themselves.

Michael, ever-loyal and determined, bowed before the god of creation and accepted the task. With his divine army at his back, he descended to the mortal realm, traveling at the speed of light. Upon reaching the surface, he was greeted by the people of the city, who welcomed him with open arms. Rumors had spread like wildfire: a wealthy family was killed in the aftermath of a fierce battle involving mysterious individuals, whom the people could only describe as either monstrous teens or powerful beasts.

The city folk begged for protection, and with a voice both serene and commanding, Michael reassured them. "As long as I stand here," he declared, his wings spreading wide and casting a shadow over the city, "no harm shall befall you. This city is under Heaven's protection."

Just as he was about to return to the heavens, one of his angelic knights approached him urgently. The knight spoke of Moxie, Insanity, and Liza—the very threats Heaven sought. Their location had been tracked just a few hours from the city. Michael's smile widened, his eyes gleaming with the anticipation of battle. He turned to his army and to the people, giving a single order: "Prepare yourselves. These monsters will be hunted down before they grow strong enough to challenge even the gods."

As his army prepared, Michael hovered above the city, already plotting the destruction of these so-called "threats." Heaven had spoken, and he would see to it that the will of the gods was done.
