Chapter 2-4: A Familiar Face

Insanity and Calypso were on their way to the city's best diner, chatting about what to order, when they both suddenly felt a strange wave of pressure—just for a split second. Insanity looked around, his instincts sharp, but whatever it was, it vanished just as quickly. Calypso, already ahead, turned back, annoyed. “Hurry up, we're almost there!” she shouted. Insanity, distracted by the odd feeling, followed behind her but couldn’t shake the sense that something was off. The streets seemed empty, too quiet, and he assumed the city was just asleep.

When they finally arrived at the diner, Calypso approached the waiter, requesting a table for two. The waiter, none other than Xero, nodded and led them to their table. As Insanity sat down, his gaze wandered around the diner, taking in the scene. Snow was busy washing dishes, Auforus was brewing coffee, but then something—or someone—caught his eye.

Insanity’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Moxie… working here?" he muttered under his breath. He thought he had said it quietly, but it was enough for Moxie to hear. Instantly, Moxie, Calypso, Snow, Xero, and Afuwafu all turned their attention toward Insanity.

Calypso, sensing the tension, leaned in and whispered, “Do you know him?” Insanity forced a nervous grin, feeling the overwhelming bloodlust radiating from Moxie. Moxie gave Insanity a sinister smile, his eyes gleaming with malice. “It’s been a while, old friend,” Moxie greeted, his voice dripping with hostility.

Before Insanity could even process what was happening, Moxie moved in a flash, grabbing Insanity by the head and slamming him through the diner wall and the nearby buildings. The impact sent shockwaves throughout the area. Auforus, in complete shock and anger, yelled after them, “Moxie! What the hell?! You broke my diner’s wall!”

Far from the city, Insanity groaned, pushing debris off himself as he got back on his feet. In the distance, Moxie stood, still wearing that devilish smile. Both of them locked eyes, knowing that words were no longer necessary.

They both unleashed their auras, the air around them crackling with intensity, signaling the start of their inevitable clash. The fight between former comrades was about to begin.
