As the group raced toward the battlefield where Pride and Xero clashed, their senses heightened, catching the destructive aura in the air. Out of nowhere, a massive beam of energy hurtled toward them. They froze for a split second, but before the attack could reach, Insanity appeared in a blur, blocking the beam. The impact sent shockwaves across the ground, leaving a small burn on his arm.
The sins glared at Insanity, their faces mixed with anger and frustration, but also a hint of understanding. Insanity simply shrugged. "What are you all waiting for? Move. You don’t want to be late."
Everyone nodded and sprinted toward the fight.
Xero was in the middle of the storm, being ruthlessly tossed around by Pride’s overwhelming strength. With every brutal throw, parts of her skin were tearing, her body crumpling under the power. Pride’s expression remained cold, almost disinterested, but he quietly spoke to her. "They're coming."
Xero’s voice tried to escape in a scream, but Pride was faster. He hurled her into the air with such velocity that the very wind seemed to peel away at her skin. She flew like a broken doll until Insanity leaped up and caught her in mid-air, giving her a moment to breathe and heal.
Pride tilted his head, mildly surprised. "That was quick."

Insanity set Xero down carefully, glaring up at Pride. "Surprised? You’ve been slacking, Pride."
Pride met Insanity’s gaze with a cool indifference, not bothering to respond to the insult. Instead, he glanced around, observing the other sins who had gathered. They were all tense, ready for anything.
Pride sighed deeply, his voice barely audible. "25% output."
The ground trembled as the air around Pride began to distort. The group braced for the worst, thinking he would fully awaken his power. But instead, he raised a finger and pointed at them, a faint glow appearing at its tip.
Insanity and Xero immediately reacted, knowing exactly what he was about to do. They moved in sync to block the attack, but the beam of light shot forward with blinding speed.
Xero was blasted back, crashing into the ground, her body limp and drained. Insanity stood his ground, but barely. His body was riddled with burns, his left arm completely missing, dangling as if it were nothing more than a memory.
Pride lowered his hand, shaking his head in disappointment. "You’ve all let me down."
The sins, breathless and shaking, exchanged panicked glances. His words cut deeper than the injuries. They could see the dark, unrelenting fury in his eyes, and they knew. Pride hadn’t even begun to show his true strength, yet they were already crumbling.
In that moment, a chilling realization settled over them. Dodging Pride’s attacks wasn’t just difficult—it might be impossible. The infinite possibilities of how he could end them ran through their minds, each more terrifying than the last.
Pride stood, utterly composed, a dark shadow over the battlefield as the sins struggled to gather their resolve. The game had shifted, and they were painfully aware that they were no longer players—but prey.
