CHAPTER 444: BATTLE ON THE PLANE
Gerald gave a look, then those people walked around the cabin boldly and fiercely. The cowards were already holding their heads in panic and trembling, “Don’t kill me, don’t kill me. I’ll give you all the money you want.”
The air police and stewardess who heard the news had been knocked to the ground too. The air was filled with strong smell of blood. There were women had cried out of fear.
Gerald didn’t even frown. The evil smile at the corner of his mouth became more obvious, “President Hoyle, you usually always keep bodyguards around your wife and daughter. But today, you, the guardian God, doesn’t pass the battle in person. Who don’t you ask your bodyguards to show up? It’s really boring to let me play a one-man show. Don’t tell me that you’re alone today, I don’t believe it.”
Alan smiled, avoiding the blade and resting his hands behind his head, “Alone? Then that’s unfair to Mr. Wood who has prepared so much, right? Then some of you come out to practice with Mr. Wood’s companions. Don’t hurt the innocents.”
Among the passengers, three strong men immediately jumped out with their bare hands to fight with the fiends.
The narrow passage didn’t restrict those fiends’ movements. With weapons in their hands, they became more unrestrained. Alan’s underlings went against one enemy had to protect the passengers from the knife to not get injured and also prevent the enemies who were buried from the passengers from attacking from the back at any time. It wasn’t a relaxed fight.
Alan didn’t feel anxious at all with the knife on his neck. He was still joking, “Mr. Wood, do you think your people who are trained in the assassin world are better or mine who had ever been a special soldiers?”
Gerald also laughed, “What does President Hoyle want to say is unfair to have seven against three, right? But your aggressive strategy really doesn’t work today. I just persistently like to win through numerical superiority. Who knew how many people you’ve hidden on this plane, President Hoyle? You’re really a person who is good at hiding your strength, so that’s why in the past few years, Finn Meyer could step into the trap you set step by step. He was too underestimated you, but I won’t. You’re the most patient man I’ve ever seen.”
“Thanks for the compliment. But I think, you may not be able to get the reward,” Alan chuckled.
“They said loser won’t lose their manner. I really admire of President Hoyle’s calmness, but you seem to have fallen behind,” Gerald reminded him.
Alan dismissively said, “So what? I just don’t know whether Mr. Wood’s knife is faster or my friend’s bullet?”
Gerald turned his head abruptly. He didn’t know when there was another person behind him and he had silently pointed the gun barrel at Gerald’s head, feeling a little surprised.
If this person had attacked him just now, he might not be able to avoid it. However, the experience which had accumulated over many years of his assassin career made him calm down quickly. After deeply staring at the man’s face, he turned his head back and smiled meaningfully at Alan Hoyle.
If he remembered correctly, this person was just Alan’s ordinary secretary, a weak scholar. But he didn’t expect that the aura that radiated at this moment was also strong, not gentle as usual.
You really couldn’t judge a book by its cover.
“There are a lot of capable people around you and all of them are hidden.”
“Thank you,” Alan said lightly.
“I just don’t know if President Hoyle knows that your wife and daughter are in our hands now, would you be this calm? I heard that President Hoyle is a serious wife and daughter control.”
Alan chuckled, “Perhaps it’s your people who are in my hands. Not sure.”
“President Hoyle isn’t only a person who is very good at hiding his strength, but also is very good at bluffing. Do you think I’ll be fooled? I forgot to tell you that the woman you hid in the bathroom couldn’t even protect herself, let alone the two mother and daughter.” Gerald smiled unconsciously and successfully saw the man’s expression in front of him shift.
He had made a strict deployment of everything. Every possibility, he had calculated step by step before he acted. It was impossible for his men to lose control.
“How is it? President Hoyle, isn’t this news shocking?” Gerald smiled darkly, revealing a cruel and bloodlust nature. “I heard that five or six years ago, your woman was lucky to escape from a group of trash. I don’t know if she still has the luck this time to escape from my men and save her innocence for you.”
Alan’s eyes were burning, “You dare to?!”
“Tsk, tsk. Isn’t President Hoyle always unafraid? It’s really rare to see this emotional moment. But do I dare or not is up to me,” Gerald deliberately sighed and the conversation suddenly changed. “But it’s better to let your man take away the gun that’s resting on my head now. I like to threaten others, but I don’t like others to threaten me. If I’m in a bad mood, my men will lose control. Maybe they’ll accidentally throw your two darlings out of the window.”
“Gerald Wood, do you think you and your companions can do it so easily?” the male secretary snorted coldly. His eyes communicated silently with Alan. The gun barrel was one step closer to Gerald’s head.
Gerald wasn’t afraid and laughed loudly. After that, he said in a very contemptuous tone, “Certainly, you can order your man to shoot me down. But if I’m dead, I don’t guarantee there won’t be a plane crash. I think President Hoyle should understand people like us who lick blood on the edge of the knife. We’re all daredevils, can do everything when we’re determined. Life and death are just two words without much meaning. We’re all careless people, but for President Hoyle, it’s different. You have a beautiful wife and daughter, and an old mother to pay last respect. If you die now, would there be too many regrets in life?”
“Mr. Wood, isn’t it too early to conclude? Since you’re so confident, then I might as well say some cruel words here too. If my wife and daughter even lose a hair today, I’ll let you people die where there’s no burial place.” Alan couldn’t allow others to humiliate and bully his darlings.
“I’m so scared,” Gerald said weirdly. “Could President Hoyle think that this plane can land on time to Jiangcheng’s airport?” Content © copyrighted by .
“That said, the people in the pilot are also controlled by you. Quite a swift move.” Alan raised his eyebrows slightly without any horror. He just glanced lightly, the meaning in his eyes was unknown.
His mental was really extraordinary. Gerald coldly said, “Thank you. I just prepare for a rainy day.”
Alan smiled, “You might as well just say that Finn Meyer doesn’t want me to appear at tomorrow’s general shareholders meeting. Let’s just be honest. I heard that every time you take a task, you’ll set the price according to your own preferences. Although you rank third in the assassin world, the price you put is the highest. I don’t know how much money Finn Meyer promised you this time.”
“What do you need to know for? Although I can’t kill you now, I’ll send you to the underworld sooner or later. I can’t break my rules on you.” This was Gerald Wood’s principle—a record of never returning empty-handed.
“I’m just worried about you. Killing me won’t necessarily get what you want from Finn Meyer, because now he’s already a person on the verge of bankruptcy and supported by outsiders. He’s just an empty shell with nothing. Finn Meyer has always looked like a gentleman in front of others. If he isn’t desperate, how can he take risks? Don’t think that he’s avenging his daughter. This is just to satisfy his selfish desire. He was afraid that the bad things he heartlessly did back then will be exposed to others. You and your companions are fighting hard here, but don’t get hurt or even killed, or you won’t even get a penny.”
“Breaking a promise? I’m really not afraid, because if anyone dares to break promise with me, I’ll dare to end their life. This is also my rule.”
For Gerald Wood to accept a job, it was a cooperation without deposit. He did the work first, then took the money later. If he didn’t succeed, he wouldn’t take the money. This was where his courage lied. So far, no employer had dared not to pay after the job was done.
Unless this person had become really tired of living to dare to break a promise with a top killer.
“Okay. Since I’ve kindly advised you, but you won’t listen, how about let’s make a bet?” Alan took pity.
“What bet?”
Alan wasn’t in a hurry to answer him. He raised his head and said to his secretary, “Nate, put the gun away. It’s not good if it misses.”
The one named Nate was obviously unwilling, “President Hoyle…”
Alan interrupted him, “Since Mr. Wood can’t take my life for the time being, the knife and gun have been held for a long time, aren’t your arms sore?”
Gerald snorted coldly and moved away the blade.
Nate reluctantly put the gun away from Gerald’s head after he received Alan’s pressuring stare. But he still held it in his hand, always staying on alert to trouble.
The fighting in the cabin became fiercer and the screams were heard from time to time. Although Alan’s three men didn’t have the upper hand, they didn’t let the gangster get the advantage. They all had wounds on their bodies. The only depressing thing was the limited space which prevented them from teaching these scumbags lesson.
“Talk. What kind of bet?” Gerald Wood was least afraid of betting, because he would win every bet. This time was certainly no exception.
Alan twisted his neck a little, “If you and your people can park this plane outside Jiangcheng, I’ll unconditionally cooperate with your employer and remove all the rest confrontation. But if Mr. Wood fails, you have to do something for me.”
“What is it?” Gerald asked.
Alan said, “I haven’t thought about it, but it’ll definitely not be a cruel thing. As for the reward, I’ll double how much Finn Meyer will give you.”
“If I lose, I’ll listen to you for anything and not charge you a penny.” A joke. Would Gerald Wood be afraid of losing? He was afraid that Alan Hoyle couldn’t win.
