CHAPTER 122: EVEN RABBITS CAN BITE PEOPLE
“How much did she give you?” In fact, Olive could probably figure out who that person was. But she had her own way to avoid this kind of things happened in this hotel again.
Casper took an envelope from pocket and put it on the table with her head down. "It is all here."
Olive looked at the envelope, which was not thick at all. There wasn’t too much money, but it was still a thing, which could turn people evil.
“Did she give you the flour, or you bought it yourself?” She asked.
“She gave it to me.” Casper whispered.
“There were five people. Why you only drugged one?”
“The person asked me to drug them all, but I thought if five of them had diarrhea at the same time, things might be wrong and they would investigate. They might find out it was me who did this. But only one person had diarrhea, they wouldn’t take it seriously. And they wouldn’t find our there was something wrong with the food.”
“You are smart enough, so you even took away the food scraps.” holds this content.
Casper nodded and he began to sweat on his forehead. "Miss Steele, I did not mean to hurt your friend, I just...just...I really need money, my mom is sick. And…I really need this job doctor, please do not fire me.”
“Because you admitted your mistake on your own. I can keep you for a three month to see if you can still stay here. If you make any mistake again, I will fire you immediately.” Olive said.
People were not perfect, everyone would make some mistakes. The most important thing was that you should correct your mistakes. Then everything would be alright.
The boy loved his family. He took the responsibilities to take care of his whole family. He wasn’t a bad person, he just got lost so he did the wrong thing.
When Casper was about to leave, Olive called him and took her wallet to hand him some cash.
“Miss Steele." Casper panicked. "I don’t think I can take your money."
“If you do not want to take it, you can borrow it from me. You can pay it back month by month or when you have money.”
It was a common thing when people needed money for emergency. She knew how it felt like when someone felt helpless. She didn’t want to see him desperate.
Ted patted his shoulder. "Take it. I will lend you some later."
Casper took money with his both hands and bowed gratefully to Olive.
Olive picked up the envelope on the table. "Take it and give back to the person."
The person, of course, she meant Susie. When she saw this envelope, she would know what happened.
Ophelia would not do such a childish thing. Her goal was to claim that Alan was her man. If the party was ruined, she wouldn’t take any benefits from it.
At noon, Ophelia called. "Miss Steele, thanks to your help for yesterday's party. I’m wondering if you can have lunch with me."
“Don’t say that, Miss Meyer. It is just my job. I have some things to do at noon. I’m sorry I can’t make it.” If she really went to eat with her, how could she have an appetite to eat? Olive didn’t want to bother herself.
Ophelia laughted. “But you still have to eat, right? Besides, the restaurant in your hotel isn’t far, we won’t go to any other place, it won’t take you too much time. I am waiting for you here. I will go to your office to find you if you do not come.”
Olive had no other way but went to the restaurant. When she arrived, she saw only Ophelia was here, Alan didn’t come.
It was better he wasn’t here.
It would be more embarrassed if three of them ate together.
Just as the waiter had served the dish on the table, Ophelia smiled." Is Miss Steele a little disappointed to see Alan isn’t here?"
Olive frowned slightly. "I have no idea what Miss Meyer was talking about.”
Ophelia sighed. It was like a sigh but it was also like a mock. "Others will finally know what you did."
Olive looked at her. She knew that Ophelia had a devil's heart under her angelic face, so she wouldn’t take off her guard easily. “Miss Meyer can say it directly, don’t beat about the brush.”
“Last night, I watched you going into Alan's room. You didn’t leave until five today. Miss Steele, you are really energetic, you still can go to work like usual after all night staying up.” Ophelia still kept her smile. But it was a fake and made Olive feel uncomfortable.
Olive froze here.
Alan Hoyle, I’m really doomed because of you.
She knew this woman didn’t just want to eat with her. She had her own purpose. Olive felt uneasy before noon.
“Miss Steele, why you don’t say something now?”
Olive looked at her coldly. "You drugged him last night."
“So what?” Ophelia just admitted it without any explanation.
Olive suddenly laughed. She suddenly thought of Susie, who had known problems between Alan and the woman, and she had known for a really long time.
Ophelia got angry. "What are you laughing at?"
“Nothing.” Olive said with a blank expression. "If there is nothing else Miss Meyer wants to say, I think I have to go now."
“Let me show you something. You must be interested in.” Ophelia suddenly gave a mysterious smile. Her expression changed so quickly.
