CHAPTER 414 BECAUSE I LOVE YOU
Her punch was nothing more than an itch that tickled his heart, "I'd like to see what Mrs. Hoyle is up to." holds © this.
Olive pressed her lips, "Come on, I just want to have a romantic meal with you."
Alan smiled, "Then, Mrs. Hoyle, what have you prepared? I am really hungry after a busy day."
The plates on the table were all covered. He couldn't see what they were, but he knew the dishes were probably very rich.
Olive tilted her head and said, "What does Mr. Hoyle want to eat? Maybe I've prepared it."
"You, can I?" Alan looked at her teasingly.
Olive flushed slightly, "I'm not food. Stop making dirty jokes."
"It's not a dirty joke if I say it in front of you." Alan corrected.
"What should I call it?"
"You should call it the spice of life. Think about it. If a couple is very respectful to each other every day, wouldn't it be boring?"
"Yes, you always have a point. I can't outargue you." Olive was speechless. She knew that he was hungry and took him across the candlelight to the table, "I'm stupid. I can't think of a better way to have a date with you. It is a bit old-fashioned, but you can't dislike it or laugh at me."
Alan stroke her head, "Silly girl, I feel happy to eat the food you made by yourself, even if it's just a normal dinner, or a bowl of noodles."
"You are either making dirty jokes or talking sweet words." Olive pouted with a smile in her eyes.
Alan bowed his head and whispered in her ear, "I only talk sweet words to you."
Olive's neck was itchy by his breath, and she shrank, "Alright, I know. Let's eat. They are getting cold."
Just when they were in high spirit, the phone in Alan's pocket rang untimely. Alan frowned slightly, and answered it, "What's wrong?"
Kent smiled treacherously on the other end of the phone, "I can't call you unless something's wrong?"
"Are you going to tell me you are bored and dumped by women again?"
"Bro, I’ve been your neighbor for more than ten days. Your house was dark every night. Today, you are finally at home. I guess you are doing pretty good. You had a good time at your father-in-law and mother-in-law's place. When you want to spend time with your woman alone, she will arrange a candlelight dinner for you by herself. You are so lucky."
Alan was not in a hurry to find out where Kent was. The buildings here were not close. At night, it was not easy to see the people on the roofs of other buildings with the naked eye, but he speculated that Kent was in the two nearby buildings. Maybe he was peeping at them with a telescope.
"Why, are you envy?"
"Yes, I'm envy and jealousy." Kent gritted his teeth and said, "I'm having a hard time, but you are enjoying your life. It's unfair. I really want to spoil your fun."
Alan smiled softly, "So you are really dumped again?"
"Don't mention that woman." Kent sulkily said. It made him feel annoyed to think about her.
"Do you know that the biggest meteor shower of the century is coming tonight around 1,27?"
"What's that got to do with me?" Kent obviously didn't understand what Alan meant.
"Romance isn't just about money, flowers, dresses, diamonds and jewelry, dinners at fancy clubs and parties on yachts. It's sometimes as simple as watching a meteor shower with the woman you love. Don't impose too much of your will on her, but ask her what she needs. The meteor shower is still a few hours away. If you want to be a third wheel, I don't mind. My wife cooked enough food for four people, and I don't mind adding two extra pairs of chopsticks for you. But if you miss the chance tonight, you may not have it again, so make the right choice."
