CHAPTER 138: SEND IT BACK TO YOU
Dave said to give her something, but there was no movement. She understood and stood up judiciously,"If you got something to talk about, I’ll go first. What would this gentleman like to drink?"
"No, thank you!" Dave replied with a light smile and watched her leave before handing the bag to Olive.
Olive took a look inside and was surprised to see the coat she left at the Minghu villa. Alan asked Dave to bring it to her, what exactly did it mean?
She looked up at Dave, just as he was looking at her, his eyes were heavy with meaning.
"Mr. Hoyle is getting married, Olive, don't you have any idea?"
Olive smiled softly,"What do you think I should have,Mr. Harrod?"
She had no idea at all, her mind was blank, or she was unwilling to think about it and was selectively escaping. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
"Your daughter is very cute." Dave changed the subject. He had been watching, thinking it was a pity that the little angelic girl was not Alan's child. If he could tell the truth, he did not like the princess Ophelia, for no reason at all.
"Thank you, if nothing else..."It had better be nothing. If Alan had been destined to be one of the unattainable dreams of her life, she would never want to see anyone around him again whether she knew or not. The so-called out of sight out of mind was probably is this.
But Dave quickly interrupted,"Olive, Annie is clearly your own daughter. Why did you lie to me about it? You said she is your adopted daughter."
"It is not honorable to have a baby before marriage." Olive shrugged.
But there was no fear and taboo in her expression.Dave suddenly felt that he had never understood the woman in front of him.
"So, what about the child's father?"
He did not think she would tell him.Not unexpectedly Olive’s face suddenly became cold, making people feel extremely alienated,"All I can tell you is that neither my parents nor my best friend knows the answer."
By implication, it was a secret she had kept to herself.
Dave couldn't help wondering, what man that she missed so much that she could shrug off Alan. If it was another woman, she must throw herself on Alan. Not to mention Alan, Dave himself became more curious about the man.It seemed that she would not disclose any of the information.Where should he start?
Boss gave an order easily, easier said than done. Dave inwardly complained. He asked for a snub, thinking that she even hid it from her parents,it was impossible for him to dig up any useful information on his acquaintance with her.He returned without accomplishing anything.
She stared at her lost-and-found coat,he didn't have to go around so much and even asked Dave to send it back. Originally, he bought it for her,she wore it for a while, and he was considered to be the original owner.
Things were actually returned together included that card, which was put in this coat pocket accidentally originally. What a coincidence. But now, she felt the pocket, the card was still there, back in her hand.Alan really won't let women suffer any loss, at least economically.
She did recall his other remark, that what had been given won’t be taken back. Thinking of it, it didn't seem surprising that Dave sent it back. Five years had passed, and his behavior of handling things was unable to be guessed by usual mentality.
Just if he looked at this coat and hated it, he could throw it away directly. Why did he call Dave to sent it back to her?
Just as Dave left, Chloe pulled Ivy in. Olive didn't have time to put away the coat, it was a little embarrass.Too many lies will be exposed on one day. She had to sigh, waiting for the coming inquiry. Chloe walked over and put her arm around her shoulder, she laughed so evil that Olive got gooseflesh.
"Miss. Steele, according to your previous confession, this beautiful coat was left in a taxi on your way to waittigbar because you panicked, but why is it now sent back by Alan's personal assistant?"
Ivy sat down opposite her and looked at her quietly. He was also a look of inquiry.
Chloe’s voice began to be sweet and greasy, and suddenly turned into a roaring,“Honestly, what's your relationship with Alan? He's the man five years ago, isn't he?"
The roar shook Olive's ears. Look at her posture today, Olive was unable to escape the confession. Her stiff body relaxed. She leaned her head back on the sofa and sighed.
