Chapter 12: Master story telling prince.

Chapter 12: Master story telling prince.

I made my way to the wine table. On this wine table we had the void lands specially grown blue grape wine. It kind of reminds me of a certain sugary beverage on Earth, but with alcohol. It tasted phenomenal by the way. I had already a glass in my hand and was sipping away at it. It then felt like I was in a spotlight of sorts. I turn around and see against the wall many people watching me. Most were women who wanted to dance with or have a casual chat with a prince but not brave enough to approach. They just simply stared at me. It was almost unsettling to be stared at so intently by so many.

A few moments pass by before one of the ladies looked like gathered enough courage and stepped away from the wall. All eye focused on her as she bravely marched toward me. Ah if it isn’t our favorite baroness to be.

“Greetings Louise.” I made a smile.

“My Prince.” she nodded. She then relaxed after a bit seeing as to I didn’t change even if my title did.

“Hmm, I want to take a break from dancing. Why don’t we gather some people off that wall and go to a nearby table and have a chat?” I suggest. At the suggestion I could see her shoulders slump for a moment. I don’t mind it though as I casually stroll to the wall of say 10 or so girls. “Evening ladies, I am looking for a bit a good fun conversation. Care to join this Baroness to be and I?” At my comment, the ladies looked at each then shook their heads vigorously. I then lead them to an empty table at the back of the room.

It had been several minutes before the girls could relax around me but the conversation had been well so far. Everyone was between the age of 16 and 20, most being the daughters of Dukes and some of Counts. At the moment I was telling the story of eliminating the Cave Pool Dragon.

“And then what happened?” Camilla Raincave, a Water Demon, had asked, captivated by my story.

“There I was minding my own business, do no one any harm. Just trying to fill the request of water crystals. You know what happened next?” I toss out the question.

All the girls replied, “What? What happened next?”

“I saw a huge torrent of water just whoosh over my head and out of a small, measly, little puddle popped out this HUGE snake like thing with a massive head. It had giant fangs and small frills behind its head. Then on either side of its head were the biggest yellow eyes you have ever seen.”

“Whoa,” the girls were amazed now. A few more people started to gather around the table now, mainly soldiers.

“It was a giant Cave Pool Dragon!” I exclaimed. It caught a few more people’s attention. “For a moment it did nothing but stare at me with those big eyes. Then I felt the water level rise to my chest! Now I’m no Water Demon,” a few girls giggle, “but I was at disadvantage. I was going to swim out of there as fast as I could but do know what that sneaky thing did?”

A few of the nobles joined in, “No, what did it do?”

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

     “It created a dungeon space!”

      “No way!”

“Yes way. And the floor beneath seemed to give way as well. I had to swim to keep afloat. To makes matters even worse, it started to swim after me, it was so fast. But then…” I trailed off.

Everyone was leaning forward in their chair.

“It disappeared; I couldn’t see the little thing. It dove under water. I then sent my Mana into pulses to see if I could find it. Then I found it. It was right below me, readying for an attack! It was coming at with a tremendous speed. I swam as fast as I can but it shot out of the water and snapped its mouth shut at my location!”

“How did you get a way?”

“Well it’s simple, moments before I used a very useful technique. I threw myself to the side and safety landed near a distant location.” I stood up and jumped into a Void Step and landed on top of the table. The crowd was shocked. “It was then that I noticed five pillars as the center of the room. Needless to say, I out witted it to make it crush those pillars bringing down that ceiling. Crushing it.”

“Did it die?” a curious question asked by Michelle Windbar.

“No, I didn’t notice it until I saw the entrance was still not open. That is when the thing sprang from the rubble! It was of course not unscathed but it was still alive. I teleported to the bit of ceiling that had remained and kick off, launching myself through the air. When it noticed me I threw my sword into an open wound and while it was distracted I rammed into it with my horns, slamming it into the floor. When it was lying on the floor I took my sword and stabbed it in the brain making sure it had died before I looted its body and got what I came for. The End.” I said with a grin.

Everyone who was intensely listening made a big applaud after hearing the ending. Most people disbanded, being satisfied with the story. It looked like it was everyone who was on the first floor came to listen to my tale. Some remained though.

“That was most magnificent Prince Alexander! Most splendid indeed! This tale isn’t made up is it?” questioning glance was made by Rhea Grounds and Earth Demon.

I shook my head, “It’s all true. Don’t believe me? I have proof.” I quick recover a 12 inch Cave Pool Dragon fang. I pass it to her, and her eyes glow with amazement as she looks at it. I chuckle at their new found amazement. Ah, that was fun.

Looking up at the second floor, I saw my dad motioning me to go dance in a funny manner. I sigh and once again join the now empty dance floor.
